yep, i think us in GT3 with the others in P1 will be awesome, i think we will see so many different winners.

Yeah I really wanted to do multiclass LMP & LMP2/3, but the LMP2/3 really are not that different than LMP1. This way with GT3, the LMPs will get to lap a couple times. Should be interesting.

I'll drive whatever...so stoked for the multi class racing. It's gonna be awesome, thanks for organizing all that bro

Thanks for coming along for the ride! Should be fun, just show up in whatever. 👍

Have a new work schedule :grumpy: , so tuesdays I won't be on until later. Don't wait for me, but hoping to be on about 15 mins before the races. :ouch:

And there we are. The First SRM GT3 Series has been polished off! Congrats to @Samsung1998race on another series win. He must be getting bored of racing with us by now.

Since you guys voted pretty much 50/50 on loving them GT3s, we'll get some more in the next series. Only this time with some LMPs in the mix! Should prove to be exciting!!

Get to picking and testing some cars! Race details here.

Yup, another series in the books, 6 series later we are still laughing and having fun!

Im going to open a practice room so i can try and pick my car for next series. I will be in and out of the room switching cars and track checking different things out. Anyone is welcome but im just messing around no racing, just tunning!

The caddy is high maintenance? You're joking right?
Ahhh fur fook sake, settle down dingo-son. Nah she pretty good out of the box, but she needs the tweaking to bring up to par with the rest of the power house machines in the class :D. She is a tad bit slow, but im making a little head way i think, im pretty sure i might have to add a rocket launcher to it to beat you .

Okay i have some data from the practice sessions we have been doing so far.
  • For Prototypes the race will be about 55-60 minutes.
  • The leader of Prototype should lap the first place GT car by 1 lap and 2-3 minutes.
  • GT3/GT2/GTE/GTLM cars should only have to complete 14 laps as when the leading Prototype crosses the finish line every car that crosses afterwards (even if car is a lap down) will be finished
  • The race has been changed to 25x time progression (was 30x) which means the race will span extremely close to 24h simulated time and the night time will last a bit longer.
  • If driving a GT, do not be intimidated by a Prototype behind, just stay on the racing line like you normally would unless the prototypes are passing on the inside into a corner but be sure to keep an eye on your mirrors. (and make sure that even if you have a rear facing camera to turn the hud mirror on that appears up the top of the screen)
  • If there is a crash between a GT and a Prototype then it will be looked into if requested but 9 times out of 10 the cause of crashes is the prototype trying to make an unsafe pass.

These are things from my personal notes which may help you guys. (Reminder that i am driving a GT)

  • I am using 6.5L per lap, which means i will need 91L in total to finish. My corvette only holds 85L so i need to pump in an extra 6L during the pit stop, but if i save fuel before i pit i wont need to pump as much fuel in as the car will already be close to the numbers i need to get home.
  • I may take tires, but it really depends if you want to waste 16 seconds in the pits for fresh rubber and better pressures
  • If you do change tires, find an appropriate time to do so, there's no point changing tires for the night time because once it comes to day your tires will be overheating (Especially in the final sector).
If you guys want more advice with tuning and driving like this post.
