the only tears these cars will bring, are going to be tears of happiness.

The next VGT should break the sound barrier. That would create a whole new set of sound issues.
Actually, we've had that already in GT5...

(For some reason, the sound actually cuts out at half the speed of sound - ~ 400 mph - which is oddly accurate if it's supposed to be a bug, and makes me think it's related to how PD are working the sound buffers).

GT6 had the speed of sound "modeling" removed in an update, so it won't be an issue, unfortunately. But I wonder now if this VGT had something to do with it...

And the best part? That song suits the car like an American Powerglove; it's loud, brash, and so brutally powerful it can only shout "f:censored: yeah" every time it gets out on a track. America, indeed.

It actually matches up eerily well with the trailer, too - it's shorter, but it cuts off when the guy in the g-suit is approaching the car, so...

Then I guess you have to use a 10-hour version for it. (What? I'm sure someone in the Internets has come up with that idea, and if they didn't, what is wrong with you, America?)

Or the soundtrack was so impressed with the car that it silenced itself, in awe of the futuristic Americana that it saw...

I like the racing version.. But they went a bit ape**** with all the active aero crap... The single moving wing on the Peugeot (and some other cars) that pops up at a certain speed already annoys me.. The brake flaps on the Alpine on the other hand don't bother me at all.. Ohwell..

Really loving the concept so far. 3 different versions is just crazy. The X version will be faster than the Red Bull in a straight line  Watching the flaps vibrate in a straight line in the trailer makes it look like a living beast! I suspect it won't handle that well though, even with all that active aero :P

Probably the best VGT so far. Combining the originality and style of Aston Martin and the craziness of Chapparal 👍 And we haven't even seen Bertone, Nike, Lamborghini and Tesla yet :D Oh and Ford of course. It'll be ironic if the 3 American manufacturers put out the craziest cars. F YEAH 'MURICA :D

Also, how the hell does a pneumatic driven wheels work? I feel sorry for PD's physics team that keeps having to accomodate these crazy one off cars

Oh look. Now we've got the drawn on the back of a napkin car by a company that doesn't even have a history of doing particularly creative things.

Oh what a shock, SlipZtrEm is being negative about something in GT....
It's obvious he's not wrong, then, if that's the best you can do for a reply.

Gotta say those figures don't seem to make much sense even for 2035 (redline of 14,500 RPM, V10 engine capable of outputting 2,168 hp, with an additional 422 hp from the front wheels for a total peak output of 2,590 hp), is SRT sure we will still have that much fossil fuel to burn?

But all joking aside, this is one beautifully designed car, from mild to extra spicy. Also I love how SRT just raised the bar by creating 3 versions of their VGT and cool outfits to match. Hopefully other manufacturers are taking note of what Alpine and SRT did and will come up with different versions of their VGTs as well

Mercedes did two VGT's as well.

Now that is how it's done, good job. It's as if they were... no, they are brothers. I swear, it's as if they saw an eagle spreading its wings and thought "Well, that's a design cue that we can use." 👍

Ah yes, well... I`m a car design nut myself and I read a lot about the subject, I can tell that an eagle could`ve been one of their inspiration themes. I can see the eagle too... even how the rear wings work, it looks like an eagle tail.

In the same way you can spot the classic Dodge/SRT bits in the sides and the rear lights. :)

I see... You are indeed a car design nut, after all you were the one who spotted the Bertone VGT pictures due to the fact that you follow a Facebook page about car design. And you do have a point, the multiple air brake flaps look so much like wings from a bird... It's a strange effect, but strangely alluring at the same time.

And "classic Dodge/SRT bits"? Those exist in the car?

I should be driving home right now (damned 25km drive thru city traffic) but I love to talk about this stuff and I did this to show you some clues that I believe are related to older Dodge/SRT designs... You may even find more comparing to some other models but these are the first that come to mind. :)
