The 2003 Aston DB9 also has them. The Nissan 240RS Rally Car 85 is a standard that has working lights (low beam / high beam) It is the first non-premium car that the light beam changes are visible.
That GT6 CLK looks really good to me, except the headlights just look wrong. It's like they're flat and don't curve out like I'd expect them to.
Also, breaking news: That's the car PD modeled for Gran Turismo 3.
The model we have in GT6? No, that had its body rebuilt. As for GT5 and earlier, yeah, livery differences or not, that's been the same model.
The only problem I have with standard cars is their lack of EXTERIOR details and low textures. After looking through this thread for a little bit, I sure hope the Standard cars don't return for the GT7.
Yes, some of the updated ones look good, but it's time for those things to go until they receive premium status.

Honestly when I drive I prefer black interior view because it gives me proper FOV and doesn't distract me.
I don't need to see another steering wheel in my TV screen or fancy shadows effects on the dashboard.
You have a point there, customization should be improved even for improved standards. The exterior details on some of the cars in GT6 are horrible and I agree with you on that part.
For me, I can't help but feel that the "Standards" are holding back the customization features in GT6 since you can't do much outside of changing wheels and adding wings. I need more.

One thing I really would like to see is the possibility to turn steering wheel off. I really really don't want to see a second steering wheel while I'm driving, it ruins immersion for me. That's why I sort of prefer black interior view to premium full modeled interiors. Grid Autosport has the best interior views I've ever seen and it's not even a full sim.
And it gives decent FOV for that car. I tend to use the narrower camera.I too like the black interior, partially because of how the dials are clearer and easy to see as well as being what I'm used to since GT3.
They used to look good....Don't know if this has been mentioned before, but some of the S2000's are pretty bad quality. Too many jagged edges.

First time poster in this thread - but there is a particular car close to my heart that makes me cry a bit inside with its standard treatment....

The Griffith was an absolute game changer for TVR circa 1991 and I think it is one of the prettiest cars ever made. I know the Tuscan made it Premium but I would love to see our Griff get a bit of love.
The biggest thing that annoys me though is when you kick a bit of dust up and the rump gets covered, the dust actually blocks off the exhaust tips. They are programmed as solid, when it should be an open tube. Laughable really.....

Try looking at the '05 Mustang compared to the '07 model. The Hommell Berlinette is also a disappointment.View attachment 411771

Standard cars from ps2 on ps4 would be madness
