Steam sale thread: Summer 2017 Edition

Well there's still the fact it's awful with a keyboard and mouse (fixable with a 360 controller) and the rendering resolution is hilariously tiny (fixable with the same mod that fixes the frame rate, it's called DSFix for future reference). The problem is that the mod can be tricky to get working properly, it doesn't seem to let you alter the rendering resolution from the default 1920x1080, which is fine for most people, but I couldn't get it to drop down to 1680x1050. Instead it was downsampling 1920x1080, so it looked a bit weird, and it was also letterboxed because of the different aspect ratios.

So, yeah, you might be lucky and it might work fine first time, but as far as I can tell you need a 1080p monitor and a 360 controller. Not a huge deal seeing as both are pretty standard for PC gaming now, but, yes.

Appreciate it that good sir. I do have a 360 Controller for Windows in my cart on Amazon. The funny thing is I already own the collectors edition of the original release on the 360, but I'd rather get it on my PC so I don't have to share the TV time with my wife.

You are definitely helping me on what decision would work out in the long run though.

A Holy Batman bump but Summer sales 2014 are aproaching and a thing called steam-cards are available. Can we share them here? That way we can share clicks and win stuff.

I did not know much beyond getting stuff. But $20 for 20 clicks? Yea, if we get some people for this, that means easy games! :D
That steam-cards are something like this. I'll post it anyway, I don't actually know if we're allowed to do do these kinds of thing.

Let's do it.

EVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL.

It must have tricked us because of it's page style. It's REALLY similar to Steam's gray theme. Even the font. Easy trickery.

That's a classic indeed.
As I already bought way too many games last summer sale and hardly played half of them I don't think I will buy a lot this time but then again....

And remember the golden steam sale rule:

We may be about to lose some money. We are going to lose all of our money.

Steam summer sale has begun!

EDIT: Well I'll be. Dead Island Riptide on the first Flash Deal of the sale. I think I'll be the first one to succumb.

Farcry 3 has a really good price!
Assetto Corsa is 24,99€ probably I'll buy it. Is it worth it at that price?
I want some CS's and also Portal.
Goat Simulator is on my shopping spree list as well.
Mirror's Edge caught my eye.

All in all, probably 50€ without AC

A question to the "Steam Experts" around here from a new to Steam guy.

Do games that are fairly new (or not even out yet) have a chance of being in the Summer Sale? The particular game in question is GRID Autosport which comes out on the 24th of this month.

Dead Rising 3 has a price cut, and it isn't even out yet. GRID might go towards that route.

I imagine people who preordered earlier will be kind of pissed off if late preordererers get a better deal.

Still, I hope it happens. I haven't preordered it yet. :D
