I wonder... A Z28 Camaro with some alien driving should clock this easily, and with no oil... It's at about 5.98kg/hp.

Depends on tire wear, I guess.

I'm assuming you're talking about the El Capitan 200, but there may also be an issue of top speed. Does it even reach 190km/h with the stock gearing? The Camaro is one of the cars I've looked at, but I kinda doubt it can be done.

I'm talking of the El Capitan 200, yes, but not of the 1969 Z/28.

The 1997 Z28 (note lack of a slash) is heavier and less powerful than the '69, but has a proper six-speed. Doesn't seem to be too bad around corners, but does have some tendency to understeer.

Ahh, that changes things somewhat.. :dopey:
That seems like an excellent suggestion, certainly sounds doable. As long as it can do 10 laps or so on a set of S1's, it shouldn't be too hard.

Special Conditions: Yosemite Rally I : Normal difficulty
Car: Lotus Elise 111S '03 / MR / 154HP / 806kg / 5.2kg/HP / vs. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IV GSR '96 / 200 A-spec points!

Hadn't bought or raced this car until today, but saw that alhajoth had a great deal of success with it in the Special Conditions Hall. Since I've not earned all 720-something cars as yet, I'm still not entering any cars into more than one race, but this has upped my previous points record by 104 points for this race alone, and will be high on the list of potential points gainers in the Special Conditions Hall (rather than the Dodge Ram :yuck:) when I've earned & driven the 115 cars that I have remaining now.

*edit* So I'm carrying on through the cars that I've not got yet when I notice the Mazda Demio Sport '03, it's called the Mazda2 in the PAL game, and alhajoth used it to good effect in the World Compact Car Cup in the Professional Hall, tying my entry for 139 points per race in the Mazda Miata, a record which RVDNuT374 recently broke. After a little research this is what I came up with.

Professional Hall : World Compact Car Cup : Races 1 - 5
Car: Mazda Demio Sport '03 / FF / 112HP / 1080kg / 9.6kg/HP / 150 A-spec points per race! :D

Qualified 1st for each race and had to block on the first lap at Grand Valley Speedway East Reverse and Twin Ring Motegi East, but apart from that clean laps all round gave 5 wins out of 5 versus 1st lineup after a console reset with stock SM tyres. 👍

After lurking for a long while, I thought I'd actually contribute something to the forums!

Nürburgring 4hr Endurance:
Car: Lotus Elise 111S '03 (no oil change) S1 tires / MR / 154HP / 806kg / 5.15kg/HP / 200 points!

Lineup:
1. Jaguar S-Type R '02
2. FPV F6 Typhoon '04
3. Fiat Coupe Turbo Plus '00
4. BMW M3 '04
5. Mazda RX-8 Type S (J) '03
6. Lotus Elise 111S '03

Results:
1. Elise Time: 4:04'52.831 29 Laps MoV: +/- 1'31.295
2. M3
3. S-Type
4. RX-8
5. F6 Typhoon
6. Coupe Turbo Plus

Being a motoring fan I watch "Top Gear" quite a bit, but being in the U.S. means my only access to quality broadcasts is over the dish. This also means that I'm watching things that the U.K. has already seen a year ago! One of the older episodes I happened to catch featured the newest version of the Lotus Exige, driven by Clarkson, racing a new Ford Mustang, driven by The Stig. Of course the Lotus won, and of course it could have been faked for the broadcast, but it did get me thinking: how hard could it be?

Working on and off for a weekend I purchased a brand new 111S, fitted some endurance sport tires and set off. The main competition up to the first pit stop was the Jaguar, then the Mazda, back to the Jag, then the BMW stepped up and took 2nd place. Just as further proof that weight is everything, the closest opponent to my Lotus in HP was the BMW with 349HP, 195 more than me! But it weighs in at 1570kg, 764kg more than the Lotus!

Welcome to Club 200, SonicSponic!

Had to run some computercode today, so I found time to have a go at the El Capitan 200 record.:)

Endurance races: El Capitan
Car: BMW 330i '05 (S2 tyres) / FR / 255HP / 1525kg / 5.98kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Against:
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
TVR 350C
BMW M5
Ford Mustang SVT Cobra
Mercedes SL 65 AMG

Originally, I ran against a different lineup that included the Dodge Viper SRT10, and had a brilliant race. It looked like it was going to go down to the wire, but then I spun out on lap 34, and I couldn't see any way of getting back into it, so I aborted, and tried again against the lineup above.
I thought about writing a race-report for this, but decided against it due to lack of time.

Fastest lap: 1.58.772
Total time: 2.14.24.8
MOV: ~20 seconds over the TVR

I pitted every 11 laps, so the race was kinda dull since the TVR did the same. I'd jump out to a 10 second lead at the start of every stint, then he would slowly catch up, until we pitted practically side by side the first 4 times. For the last 20 laps, we caught traffic, and he fell behind to give me a comfortable winning margin.

Welcome to CLUB 200 SonicSponic! That's a great race to start with! 👍

I'll get post #1 up to date after I'm done with SFGTP3 at the end of the month. ;)

 You must be a mind-reader Anders!
That's exactly the next car I had in mind for trying for the 6.0kg/HP record!
Nice job in making it work! Guess I'll have to find something else to run instead! :mischievous:

Sorry, didn't mean to steal your car.:guilty:
Hopefully, you'll find something else.

And for the record, I can't read minds. Not even a little.
Frankly, I'm getting quite fed up with having no superpowers..:grumpy:

Another one I've been longing to have a go at and thought must be possible is the following.

European Hall: Pan Euro Championship race 1 - Opera Paris
Car: Lotus Motorsport Elise 99 / MR / 202HP / 700kg / 3.424kg/HP / 200 A-spec points by dadada1

I'm attempting this right now, though I've only completed Opera Paris as of now. The race wasn't very difficult, though I did finish only ~2.5s ahead of my main competitor the TVR T350C. I know the Elise can compete with the other cars on 4 out of 5 tracks; now I just have to prove it! The only big problem should be the long straights on La Sarthe.:grumpy:

The 1000th Post in this thread!!!
👍

Sorry, :guilty: difficult to resist celebrating that SonicSponic's post makes 1000 posts here and people still have interest in keeping this thread going!

Anyway, no worries alhajoth, I have some backups planned as I had a sneaky suspicion the BMW might be on your hitlist!! :D

Thanks for pointing that entry out SonicSponic, it seems it'd been overlooked in the first post, but I'll now get round to adding it at the next update, along with your own entries if you can make it work! :)

Ok another update for my lot of 200 A-Spec point races.

The Extreme Hall GT All Stars were all done with the AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR on R2/R1 combo except for Test Course, High Speed Ring and Fuji Speedyway 80's that were done with R2 tyres.

Extreme Hall: GT All Stars (Races 1,2,5,6 and 9)
Car: AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car '98 (R2 Tyres) / MR / ?HP (garage value 797HP) / 1000kg / ?kg/HP (1.25kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Extreme Hall: GT All Stars (Races 3,4,7,8 and 10)
Car: AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car '98 (R2/R1 Tyres) / MR / ?HP (garage value 797HP) / 1000kg / ?kg/HP (1.25kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Vs PAL Lineup 15 after console reset

Sauber Mercedes C9
Audi R8
Toyota 7
Jaguar XJR-9
Minolta Toyota 88C-V

Also for the GT All Stars, managed to also conquer the race with the Pagani Zonda LM Race car, the same had to qualify with the AMG Mercedes but also qualified for the Circuit De La Sarthe 1 race as well.

Extreme Hall: GT All Stars (All Races 1-10)
Car: Pagani Zonda LM Race Car '01 (Oil Changed) / MR / ?HP (garage value 694HP) / 1150kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Next, is the Like The Wind Test Course race with the Pagani Zonda LM Race Car

Extreme Hall: Like The Wind Race - Test Course
Car: Pagani Zonda LM Race Car '01 (Oil Changed) / MR / ?HP (garage value 694HP) / 1150kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Next, Extreme Hall Real Circuit Tours with the Nissan GT-R Concept LM car with 5 out of the 8 races.

Extreme Hall: Real Circuit Tours Race 1 - Suzuka
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 (R2 tires, oil change) / FR / ?HP (garage value 657HP) / 1100kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Extreme Hall: Real Circuit Tours Race 3 - Tsukuba
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 (R2 tires, oil change) / FR / ?HP (garage value 657HP) / 1100kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Extreme Hall: Real Circuit Tours Race 4 - Laguna Seca
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 (R2 tires, oil change) / FR / ?HP (garage value 657HP) / 1100kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Extreme Hall: Real Circuit Tours Race 5 - Infineon
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 (R2 tires, oil change) / FR / ?HP (garage value 657HP) / 1100kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Extreme Hall: Real Circuit Tours Race 8 - Nurburgring
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 (R2 tires, oil change) / FR / ?HP (garage value 657HP) / 1100kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Vs. PAL Lineup #2 (All cars pit in this lineup)

Nissan R89C
Sauber Mercedes C9
Bentley Speed 8
BMW McLaren F1 GTR
Pagani Zonda LM Car

Also for all of the races 1-8 for the Real Circuit Tours with the AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Car, some of the races I did have to heavily block at different times.

Extreme Hall: Real Circuit Tours (All races 1-8)
Car: AMG Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car '98 / MR / ?HP (garage value 797HP) / 1000kg / ?kg/HP (1.25kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Vs. PAL Lineup #6 (All cars pit in this lineup)

Mazda 787B
Nissan R89C
Sauber Mercedes C9
Toyota GT-One
Audi R8

Next up the Fuji 1000KM race with the Nissan Concept GT-R Car. This race was painful but managed to win using the same PAL lineup as the Infineon Sports Car Endurance Race. It is about keep consistent, having a good pit stop strategy and a good setup will win the race.

Endurance races: Fuji 1000km
Car: Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car '02 (R1 tires, oil change) / FR / ?HP (garage value 657HP) / 1100kg / ?kg/HP (1.7kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

V.S. PAL LINE-UP (Can't remember the exact lineup counts after console reset):
BMW V12 LMR
Mazda 787B
Jaguar XJR-9
Pescarolo Courage C60
Nissan R390GT1

Finally using the Gillet Vertigo Race Car on the Like The Wind event and GT All Stars Race 5 at the Test Course (both races were a piece of cake)

Extreme Hall: Like The Wind Race - Test Course
Gillet Vertigo Race Car ’04 / FR / 889HP / 780KG / 0.9KG/HP / 200 A-Spec Points by mynameissport

Extreme Hall: GT All Stars: Race 5 - Test Course
Gillet Vertigo Race Car ’04 / FR / 889HP / 780KG / 0.9KG/HP / 200 A-Spec Points by mynameissport

European Hall: Pan Euro Championship Races 1,2,4
Car: Lotus Motorsport Elise '99 / MR / 202 HP / 700kg / kg/HP 3.42 / 200 A-spec

This was quite an ambitious undertaking. My little Lotus Motorsport Elise versus this (not a cake walk!) line up:

TVR Griffith 500 '94 (This car must have been the ringer for the races, as it easily outpaced the rest of the field!)
Pagani Zonda C12 '00
Cizeta V16T '94
TVR Cerbera Speed Six '97
Aston Martin Vanquish '04
And my little 1.8L, 4 cyl. mosquito!

As expected the Lotus excelled in the technical bits of the courses, however, it just couldn't run with the big boys on the longer straights. So, I earned 200 points in only the following races: Opera Paris, Grand Valley, and Cote d' Azur. La Sarthe I is totally impossible, and the Nürburgring is almost impossible. I qualified third and finished fourth, so it wasn't a total shutout race. I qualified for all races and got pole on Paris, G. Valley, and d' Azur.

So, it is possible to win the Pan Euro Championship with the Lotus Motorsport Elise, but not to win 200 A-spec each race.

Special Conditions: George V Rally : Easy difficulty
Car: Spoon Fit Race Car '03 (stock R1 tyres) / FF / ?HP (126HP on garage screen / 990kg / ?kg/HP (7.9kg/HP using garage value) / vs. Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione '91 / 129 A-spec points

Not a record-breaker, but it pays all the same:
Endurance races: El Capitan
Car: Mazda Mazda6 Touring Car '02 (S1 tyres, df. 15/21) / 4WD / 310HP(garage value) / 1070kg / 3.4kg/HP / 200 A-spec

vs.
Shelby Series 1
TVR T350C
Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Dodge Viper GTS
Mercedes SL 65 AMG

Had to pit a massive 7 times to keep this understeering beast on the road, still won by 1.5 lap. This car may have a chance at the New York and Laguna Seca races too, though the tyre-wear may be too much for Laguna Seca..

Well these races were originally not on the stock car race thread until now. But now the Renault Clio Trophy races have been finally done with a stock Renault Clio Sport Trophy Race Car. Used minimum downforce settings of 8/11 with Super Hard racing (R1's) tyres equipped, but did tune the stock racing suspension, brake controller, racing gearbox to my own settings. The rest of the field were using the same car as me all equipped with Racing Medium tyres (R3's)

Not 200 point races, but offering 110 A-Spec Points will do. Racing from the back of the grid to the front in all of the races is a little challenge but very possible to win all of the races. You can qualify first for all of the 5 races in the series if you do so, but my attempt was done from racing from the back to the grid to first place and all 5/5 race wins were done and dusted.

RENAULT

Clio Trophy: All Races

Car: Renault Clio Sport Trophy V6 24V Race Car '00 (R1 tyres, 8/11 downforce) ?HP (298HP on garage screen) / 1150kg / 3.9kg/HP (using garage HP value) / 110 A-Spec by mynameissport

Ok, so "The Threesome" is over and done with, and I'm back into racing AI and seeking A-spec points. Guess I owe this thread a little attention now, so I'll add a latest entry of my own, and get on with it!

Extreme Hall : Dream Car Championship : All Races
Car: Toyota Woodone Tom's Supra (JGTC) '03 (R2 tyres Downforce 24/44) / FR / 496HP / 1100kg / 2.2kg/HP / 200 A-spec points per race! :)

Had to enter/exit around 50 - 60 times, maybe more () until I came up with the lineup with all the heavy hitters in it to guarantee maximum pointage.
Raced with: Pagani Zonda LM Race Car, Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car, Ford GT LM Race Car, Ford GT Spec-II LM Race Car and Nissan GT-R LM Race Car.
Qualified first for each event, some were easy, some were tougher! Won by 0.011s in Tokyo, and 0.055s at Test Curse! :nervous:

Professional Hall: Turbo race 2 - Tokyo
Car: Nissan Skyline GT-R M-Spec Nur '02 / 4WD / 336HP / 1580kg / 4.7kg/HP / 200 A-spec

vs.
Audi S4 '98
Peugeot 205 Turbo '85
Subaru Impreza Prodrive '01
Mazda RX-7 Type R Bathurst '01
Mazda RX-7 Infini '90

Professional Hall : Race of Turbo Sport : Fuji 80's (3 Laps)
Car:- Nissan Skyline GT-R '00 / 4WD / 328HP / 1540kg / 4.7kg/HP / 200 A-Spec

vs. lineup #2

Beginners Hall: FF Challenge Race 3 - Hong Kong
Car: Alfa Romeo147 2.0 Twinspark '02 / FF / 148HP / 1280kg / 8.6kg/HP / 161 A-spec

Special Conditions: Swiss Alps Rally (reverse) : Easy difficulty
Car: Alfa Romeo GTV 3.0 V6 24V '01 / FF / 216HP / 1415kg / 6.6kg/HP / vs. Ford Focus RS '02 /200 A-spec

Extreme Hall: Premium Sports Lounge race 1 - Cote D'Azur
Car: Aston Martin Vanquish '04/ FR / 460HP / 1835kg / 4.0kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Extreme Hall: Premium Sports Lounge race 2 - Opera Paris
Car: Aston Martin Vanquish '04/ FR / 460HP / 1835kg / 4.0kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Extreme Hall: Premium Sports Lounge race 3 - Hong Kong
Car: Aston Martin Vanquish '04/ FR / 460HP / 1835kg / 4.0kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Extreme Hall: Premium Sports Lounge race 4 - High Speed Ring
Car: Aston Martin Vanquish '04/ FR / 460HP / 1835kg / 4.0kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Extreme Hall: Premium Sports Lounge race 5 - New York
Car: Aston Martin Vanquish '04/ FR / 460HP / 1835kg / 4.0kg/HP / 200 A-spec

All five races done vs. lineup #5
Mercedes McLaren
Ford GT
Pagani Zonda C12
Mercedes SL 600
TVR Speed 12

Special Conditions Hall : Capri Rally : Hard difficulty
Car: BMW 320i Touring Car '03 (R1, min downforce) / FR / 257HP / 1140kg / 4.4kg/HP / vs. Subaru Impreza Rally Car '03 / 182 A-spec points.

Endurance races: Nurburgring 24hr
Car: Toyota Altezza Touring Car '01 (R1 tires) / FR / 306HP / 1000kg / 3.268kg/HP / 200 A-spec

against all DTM cars. line up 11 or 12 PAL version.
Audi ABT
Audi
BMW M3 GTR
Vaxhaul Calibra
Alfa

This really is a walk in the park. MOV 6 laps (I know your not suppose to be mean to the AI, but with a three lap lead 10 hours in. I was starting to get a little frustrated by not seeing any-one for long periods of time. So whenever I did see the Audi abt i would try and make him not pit to see if I could help the M3 get in front of him, this would cut lap times to over 8 mins.) If I wasn't doing this MOV could easily be 7 laps.

Special Conditions Hall : Tsukuba Circuit Wet : Hard difficulty
Car used: Honda S2000 GT1 (stock with oil change, R5 tyres)/ FR / 535HP / 1180kg / 2.2kg/HP / 200 A-spec points!
Very hard not to hit the Mazda 787B in the first lap, but apart from that, a cakewalk :). Won by ~5 seconds.

A couple of things here:

1) There's no such thing as the Honda S2000 GT1. I'm assuming you mean the either the Amuse version or the Honda S2000 LM Race Car?

2) If it's the Amuse you're talking about, what tyres does it come supplied with? S tyres or R tyres? I'm guessing S since it's technically a road car, in which case using R5 tyres will be inadmissible. (They'd also be inadmissible for the Honda S2000 LM Race Car too, since the rules in post 1 say that Race cars may use S1 -> R3 tyres)

Sorry. :guilty:
Please take a moment to read the rules in post 1 before making further submissions, but hopefully we'll see you back again with another soon. 👍

Yeah, I meant the Amuse S2000 GT1. I missed the tyres part...no problem, I have another one! I'll just edit it into this post when i get the info of the car.

Edit: Ok, here it is...
Japanese Events: Japan 80's challenge: El Capitan Normal.
Car: Toyota Celica 2000 GT-Four (ST165), no oil change, S2's / 4WD / 185HP / 1350kg / 7.3kg/HP / 144 A-spec points.
Too easy, all the other cars brake heaps on the hilly section, you just have to make sure you don't hit them...I won by 10 seconds, but a reasonable driver can do better 👍.

And, I just did this:
Endurance Events: El Capitan 200 miles
Car used: Opera Performance S2000, no oil, S1/S2's, downforce 15/15 / FR / 275HP / 930kg / 3.4kg/HP / 200 A-spec points!
I was hoping for a nailbiter, being 200 A-spec points, but I was sorely disappointed. Maybe it's just my driving, but I beat the Lotus by 2 and a half laps! It's great fun trying to make the other cars hit the pit wall...

That's good, I'm guessing you'll be adding another link to your signature soon then! :D

Just found a nailbiter at El Capitan! :D

Endurance Hall : El Capitan 200 miles
Car: Citroen Xsara Rally Car '99 (S1 Tyres, downforce 13/14) / FF / 295HP / 960kg / 3.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec points!

Report, pitting info, finishing time, etc. is here.

I believe this is the first ever submission of a stock FF car achieving 200 A-spec points in an endurance event!

Ok folks, it's been a looooong time coming, but....

The CLUB 200 list in Post #1 is now up to date with our latest new members, SonicSponic & mcsqueegy. 👍

I have not, however, included this entry:

Tsukuba Circuit - WET (NORMAL)
SILEIGHTY '98 (stock) / FR / 203HP / 1170kg / 200 A-spec points earned

as it doesn't seem possible, given that it equates to 5.8kg/HP WPR and every other entry we have here for this race is between 3.0 - 4.9kg/HP.
If u1tima comes back here we'll have him set the record straight as to what car his opponent was driving, as I can't believe the SilEighty is capable of beating Saleen S7, Mercedes McLaren SLR or Ford GT which're the most common opponents here. Sadly though this is his one and only post on the site and he's not visited since May 17th.

I just knew that the Xsara rally car would be the one to score 200 points first for an FF in an endurance event! Great job actually doing it. 👍 It seems to be the only one powerful enough to accomplish anything of note against these kind of AI, and it is set up to (attempt to!) hide its FF characteristics. I, however, found it quite unruly when I've driven it :scared: - how'd you control it around a bumpy track like El Capitan? Did you change any settings?

Change any settings? Erm, all of them that could be more or less, but since they're stock items on this car anyway, it's within the rules!!!
Have to turn the car from a soft sprung rally-mobile into a ruthless tarmac racer. :mischievous:

My setup:

Code:
Setting : Front : Rear
Brakes : 6 : 7
Springs : 12.3 : 14.3
Height : 107 : 103
Bound : 5 : 8
Rebound : 5 : 8
Camber : 2.8 : 3.4
Toe : 0 : -2
Stabil. : 4 : 6
D/F : 13 : 14

Transmission Autoset 9
Driving Aids: ASM 0/0 TCS 2
LSD: Init: 5
      Acc: 5
      Dec: 20

That's what worked for me, with trying to minimise front tyre wear and keep rear wear even (hence big toe & camber values on rear) but I'm by no means a settings Guru, and I'll definitely say that while the car was just about quick enough, it was very, very twitchy in places, especially over the crests.
As much as I hate TCS too, some was necessary here to assist with tyre wear and sanity!
