Change any settings? Erm, all of them that could be more or less, but since they're stock items on this car anyway, it's within the rules!!!
Have to turn the car from a soft sprung rally-mobile into a ruthless tarmac racer. :mischievous:

My setup:

Code:
Setting : Front : Rear
Brakes : 6 : 7
Springs : 12.3 : 14.3
Height : 107 : 103
Bound : 5 : 8
Rebound : 5 : 8
Camber : 2.8 : 3.4
Toe : 0 : -2
Stabil. : 4 : 6
D/F : 13 : 14

Transmission Autoset 9
Driving Aids: ASM 0/0 TCS 2
LSD: Init: 5
      Acc: 5
      Dec: 20
That's what worked for me, with trying to minimise front tyre wear and keep rear wear even (hence big toe & camber values on rear) but I'm by no means a settings Guru, and I'll definitely say that while the car was just about quick enough, it was very, very twitchy in places, especially over the crests.
As much as I hate TCS too, some was necessary here to assist with tyre wear and sanity!

Thanks, I might have to try those in this race sometime! 👍 It certainly looks more challenging than the modified GSX-R/4 I used... Seems you spent a good bit of time adjusting the car to make it more drivable. I don't like TCS either, but I do add a couple clicks in 700+ HP cars because wheelspin costs a lot of time, can spin you out easily, and wears out the tires. Not good in enduros! There is a lot to be said for consistency, and TCS definitely helps with that. And in all those endless 200 point races with N1 tires on FFs where NOS is necessary to win, I need some traction control or I basically wouldn't accelerate the whole race because the tires would just spin endlessly. :yuck:

Have about 300 cars in my garage that I haven't driven yet, some of them actually prove to be rather useful in the search for 200-point races..

American Races: Stars and Stripes Race 1 - Laguna Seca
Car: Lexus SC430 '01 / FR / 275HP / 1730kg / 6.3 kg/HP / 200 A-spec

American Races: Stars and Stripes Race 2 - Seattle
Car: Lexus SC430 '01 / FR / 275HP / 1730kg / 6.3 kg/HP / 200 A-spec

American Races: Stars and Stripes Race 3 - Infineon Stock Car Course
Car: Lexus SC430 '01 / FR / 275HP / 1730kg / 6.3 kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Special Conditions Hall : Swiss Alps Reverse (Easy)
Car: Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GTS '03 (oil changed) / FF / 220HP / 1510kg / 6.9kg/HP vs. Ford Focus RS '02 / 198 A-spec points.

*Edit* New for this evening...
Special Conditions: Swiss Alps Rally : Normal difficulty
Car: ASL Garaiya '02 / MR / 198HP / 800kg / 4.0kg/HP / vs. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS T.M.E. '00 / 200 A-spec points! :D

Japanese races : All Japan GT Championship : Races 1 - 10
Car: Cusco Subaru Advan Impreza (JGTC) '03 (R3 Tires, oil changed, Downforce 21/30) / FR / 327HP / 1100kg / 3.4kg/HP / 200 A-spec points! (per race) :D

versus 5th lineup after reset, which has Denso Sard & '00 Castrol Tom's Supras, '99 Pennzoil Skyline and '00 Castrol & '01 Loctite NSXs.
Qualified 1st at each venue, a little blocking necessary at Tokyo & Motegi Super Speedway, but otherwise pretty easy & contact free if you can turn clean laps.

*edit* new points record for World Compact Car Races!!!
Raising the bar by a whopping 3 points!

Professional Hall : World Compact Car Races : Races 1 - 5
Car: Citroen C3 1.6 '02 / FF / 109HP / 1063kg / 9.8kg/HP / 153 A-spec points per race.

vs. 1st lineup after reset, qualified 1st for each race (very hard to do at Tsukuba & Grand Valley East Reverse) and had to block quite a bit except for Seattle and Hong Kong (which was a cakewalk, with 8s MOV!)

European Hall: British GT Series: Race 1 - 5
Car: Jaguar S-Type R '02 / FR / 400HP / 1800kg / 4.5kg/HP / 200 A-spec points!

vs. 4th lineup after reset. Qualified 1st for each race, and quite tricky due to standing starts in 4 out of 5 races.

First off, thanks to people for posting their experiences here. I've cruised by intermittently for a while and I've gained a lot of insight into the game and ideas for good races from what I've seen on this thread and related ones, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I wanted to mention this so the benefit can be known.

I also thought I'd share a couple races I've done that I think are interesting. These are on the Japanese version, BTW. I hope my formatting is sufficiently conforming:

Nurburgring 4hr
Alpine A110 1600S '73 (new, no oil, S1) / RR / 141PS / 715kg / 200 A-spec
lineup: GTO '04, Camaro SS '00, M3 '04, CLK 55, S4 '03

Nurburgring 24hr
BMW 320i Touring Car '03 (new, no oil, R1 later R2) / FR / 261PS / 1140kg / 200 A-spec
lineup: M3, 155, Falken, 190E, TT-R

A few other notes:

I, too, found that the Type 72 was the only 200pt solution to the Motegi 8hr.

I think it's possible to beat the C9 (and all others) with the McLaren F1 at Le Mans I. (I had it until the last lap, despite some simple mistakes like missing the pit lane.)

There's some amazing achievements here, for sure. and someone coulda told me I was in!! Maybe i should check back more :dunce:

Imma get cracking on some more entries, sit tight :)

EDIT: Actually, got one for you here:

La Festa Italiano: Autumn Ring Reverse
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (new, no oil, S1s all around)/FR/127hp/740kg/ 200 A-spec points

La Festa Italiano: Infineon Raceway
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (new, no oil, S1s all around)/FR/127hp/740kg/ 200 A-spec points

Both fantastic races. The Italian machines I were racing were mainly FF, which meant the dumbass AI always understeered so much, meaning I could zip by. The Lancia Integrale chased me hard until the end in the Autumn Ring race, had to just fend him off coming out of the final hairpin for the win. Infineon race was a thriller, tough battle, and I managed to sneak by the Alfa GTV going through the double-right hander before hitting the downhill esses section. The Giulia Sprint is an amazing little car, you'd probably recognise it as the police car from The Italian Job 💡 but its a fantastic machine. Acceleration is good, brakes fantastic, and the way it just swishes through corners is awesome :sly:

Nice entries, and they're 99% right for entry in the Post #1 list, however, we do ask for the power values in HP not PS. Please can you convert your units to HP for us and I'll happily add them to the list next time I do an update! (You can switch your units in the Options screen ;))

La Festa Italiano: Autumn Ring Reverse
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (new, no oil, S1s all around)/FR/127hp/around 800kg/ 200 A-spec points

La Festa Italiano: Infineon Raceway
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (new, no oil, S1s all around)/FR/127hp/around 800kg/ 200 A-spec points

In the interests of accuracy, can you edit the exact weight of the Alfa in there? I can't add entries with "around 800kg" in the post #1 list.

The Giulia Sprint is an amazing little car, you'd probably recognise it as the police car from The Italian Job 💡 but its a fantastic machine.

Actually, sorry to be pedantic, but that was a Lancia Fulvia Berlina, like this:

Apologies Smallhorses, the weights have been edited.

And man, I coulda sworn it was a Giulia constantly FAILING to catch those blasted Minis :dunce:

European Hall: British GT Series race 1 - Grand Valley
Car: Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 (6.2 mile used, no oil) / FR / 380HP / 1640kg / 4.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec

European Hall: British GT Series race 2 - Fuji
Car: Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 (6.2 mile used, no oil) / FR / 380HP / 1640kg / 4.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec

European Hall: British GT Series race 3 - El Capitan
Car: Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 (6.2 mile used, no oil) / FR / 380HP / 1640kg / 4.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec

European Hall: British GT Series race 4 - Infineon
Car: Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 (6.2 mile used, no oil) / FR / 380HP / 1640kg / 4.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec

European Hall: British GT Series race 5 - Midfield
Car: Jaguar XKR Coupe '99 (6.2 mile used, no oil) / FR / 380HP / 1640kg / 4.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Against lineup #1, 3 TVR's, AM DB9 and an Esprit.
Qualified for Fuji and Midfield.

European Hall : Pan European Championship : Races 1 - 5
Car: BMW M3 CSL '03 / FR / 355HP / 1385kg / 3.9kg/HP / 200 A-spec points! :D (per race!) 👍

vs. (in starting order) Cizeta V16T, TVR T350C, TVR Griffith 500, Audi RS6, Mercedes SL 65 AMG (R230)

Easy enough wins from the back of the pack everywhere except Sarthe I, where I had to qualify, and even then I only managed to snag 3rd place on the grid. Was looking like failure as I was about 6s behind the leading Cizeta & Griffith at the checkpoint before Arnage on lap 2, however, inexplicably they both run wide into the massive sandtrap just before Maison Blanche and it allowed me to go through cleanly to win by 6s!!!

@ killer450235: Please read the rules in Post #1 carefully.

You will not be admitted to CLUB 200 until you can provide the details in the requested format for your entry.

Thanks.

Well, you're living up to your signature pretty well. :dopey:
Village is spelled with an "A" by the way! :sly:

Please list your details in the same way that everyone else seems to manage easily enough. You can't claim to have all races at 200 points, and then say "on all but Motorland" I'm striving to keep as accurate a list as possible so that others that read it can easily replicate the races listed.
Also you can work out the value you've listed as "?".
Divide your weight figure by your power figure to get kg/HP.
It's not rocket science, so I'm not going to spoonfeed you. :grumpy:

Woops sorry didn't see any.

That's precisely my point. You should take care to read some of the threads you're posting in (reading the first post usually helps) before leaping in two-footed.

Even the rest of the entries on this page are in the right format, and those that I requested changes to got changed civilly. That should give you some sort of clue as to what's expected.

All Sunday cup races: Toyota Puius '03

is clearly unacceptable, and I pointed out what you needed to do to correct this and where to find the information. My reasons for this were clearly stated, as in "I strive to keep an accurate list"

Your latest edit of your original post shows a level of immaturity that won't get you very far here. Please consider your future posts here with a little more care and time spent on their construction. Basically if you can't add anything constructive, useful, within the rules and on-topic to a discussion, then don't post.

I have a problem with these two entries:

La Festa Italiano: Autumn Ring Reverse
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (new, no oil, S1s all around)/FR/127hp/740kg/ 200 A-spec points

La Festa Italiano: Infineon Raceway
Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA 1600 '65 (new, no oil, S1s all around)/FR/127hp/740kg/ 200 A-spec points

My stock Alfa shows 113 hp and a weight of 745kg. Even with an oil change the power is only 119 hp. Are you sure yours was stock Falcon?

I can verify that on the NTSC version too, that the stock stats for the Alfa Giulia Sprint GTA are 113HP & 745kg.

There's definitely something wrong with 127HP & 740kg so those entries won't go in the list.

My apologies guys, I forgot to check it before I entered, the Alfa has had port polish and engine balancing. I honestly forgot about those mods, so please be aware that no malice or cheating was intended - simple absent-mindedness on my part :dunce:

However, I do have another entry, and this time it's legitamate:
Endurance Hall: El Capitan 200 miles
Amuse S2000 Street Version '04/FR/254hp/1190kg/4.7kg/HP /200 A-spec points

I double-checked that one, and its completly unmodified :)

Regarding units on the entries I made, I'm using the Japanese version as I said, which actually does not have changeable units as other versions do. The rules for entries as described in the first post state that only the car, race, and A-spec points are required, and I posted accordingly. I did include additional information as available for the sake of illustration and accessibility, but under the impression that doing so was beyond what was required. I did consider using stats from gtvault, but I couldn't vouch for the accuracy of those numbers, so I opted for numbers I could vouch for. If the rules require more than car, race, and points, they should say so.

Granted, I could be anybody from your standpoint, with therefore completely unknown conscientiousness. And it is much easier from your end to process conforming data. I don't mean to be difficult in taking pains to state my point, but I made my best effort to conform the rules posted, and it's a little frustrating to hear after the fact that my efforts were insufficient, especially when I preferred protecting the reliability of the data, which seems the higher principle.

The HP numbers from gtvault are 148 and 274, FWIW, but these numbers seem off to me, as if they're with oil. 139 and 257 are the numbers I calculate for conversion, but I don't know what rounding or other calculation differences there may be with Polyphony's HP numbers.

No worries, I was unaware that you can't change units on the Japanese version. :guilty:

According to 2 entries on the first post which used the same 2 cars that you did, the conversions from PS to HP that you made, giving 139 & 257 respectively are correct, and you can rely on them for future entries.

Your entries will get added to the list at the next update, sometime after I've finished my own 200 point run at Nurburgring 24hr.

I'm going to edit the rules in post #1 to remove the "minimum stats" bit, as the additional information is useful to me in spotting spurious entries. ;)

Endurance races: Nurburgring 24hr
Car: ASL ARTA Garaiya (JGTC) '03 (R1 Tyres) / MR / 319HP / 1125kg / 3.5kg/HP / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Endurance races: Nurburgring 24hr
Car: Toyota Superautobacs Apex MR-S (JGTC) '00 (R1 Tyres) / MR / 301HP / 1125kg / 3.7hg/HP / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Up against PAL Lineup #8 after console reset

Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car '94
Audi Abt TT-R '02
Nissan Falken GT-R Race Car '04
Audi A4 Touring Car '04
BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01

Pitted every 6 laps, same as the Audi TT-R with both cars and tuned the stock suspension, downforce, gearbox and brakes with a couple of clicks of TCS. Won the race with both cars by around 5-6 laps from the Audi TT-R.

Endurance races: Sarthe 24hr II
Car: Panoz Esperante GTR-1 Race Car '98 (R1 Tyres) / FR / ?HP (garage value 752HP) / 1150kg / ?kg/HP (1.5kg/HP using garage value) / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Pitted every 8 laps with the Panoz, this car gets a lot of understeer in the corners so watch out. Setup is handy especially as the car likes to go wide into the corners. So slow in and fast out works well and make up time during the first part of the lap all the way up to Indianapolis corner.

Two line ups completed with this car

V.S. PAL LINEUP 9 AFTER CONSOLE RESET: (Is a harder lineup than the other lineup if you require a challenge)

Nissan R92CP
Nissan R89
Minolta Toyota 88C-V
Sauber Mercedes C9
Jaguar XJR-9

V.S. PAL LINEUP 1 AFTER CONSOLE RESET: (Technically you are racing against the Mazda as the car can go one lap better than you and this lineup is slightly easier than the other)

Nissan R89
Mazda 787B
Minolta Toyota 88C-V
Sauber Mercedes C9
Jaguar XJR-9

Finally this has been done already but just another set of races completed stock.

Endurance races: El Capitan
Car: Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01 (S1 tyres) / MR / 173HP / 640kg / 3.7kg/HP / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Endurance races: New York 200 miles
Car: Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01 (S1 tyres) / MR / 173HP / 640kg / 3.7kg/HP / 200 A-spec by mynameissport

Race of the Red "R" Emblem : Trial Mountain Reverse
Car: Nissan Skyline Sedan 350GT-8 '02 / FR / 267HP / 1550kg / 5.8kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Beginners Hall: FR Challenge race 1 - Seattle
Car: Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M '91 (used, no oil) / FR / 192HP / 1260kg / 6.6kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Beginners Hall: FR Challenge race 2 - Tsukuba
Car: Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M '91 (used, no oil) / FR / 192HP / 1260kg / 6.6kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Beginners Hall: FR Challenge race 3 - Special stage 5
Car: Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M '91 (used, no oil) / FR / 192HP / 1260kg / 6.6kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Beginners Hall: FR Challenge race 4 - Laguna seca
Car: Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M '91 (used, no oil) / FR / 192HP / 1260kg / 6.6kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Beginners Hall: FR Challenge race 5 - Driving Park Motorland
Car: Nissan Skyline GTS-t Type M '91 (used, no oil) / FR / 192HP / 1260kg / 6.6kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Fuji 1000 km

Car: Toyota GT-ONE Race Car '99 (black used, df(38/53), R1 tires) / MR / 700HP / 900kg / 1.3kg/HP / 200 A-spec

Could probably increase the downforce, and still get 200 points. Easy win, each set of tires lasted 21 laps.

Edit: Sorry, didn't mean to double-post..:guilty:

Endurance Races: Grand Valley 300km

Car: Toyota Wedssport Celica '03 (R1-R2 tyres) / FR / 327HP / 1050kg / 3.2kg/HP / 200 A-spec points!

Field I raced against was:
Mercedes CLK Touring Car (3rd)
Abt Audi TTR Touring Car (2nd)
Honda Takata Dome NSX (5th)
Ford Falcon XR8 Race Car (6th)
Toyota Esso Ultraflon Supra (4th)
This one was fun. With some minor gear changes (within the rules), this car was defnitely a good choice for 200 points. Finished 1'57'06.736, best lap of 1'52.407. All the others finished within a lap of each other as well.
