Thanks LOGIC but I will maybe take part on Suzuka and SPA races. I'm a bit rusty... I will take a look monday at Monaco just to better understand the start racing procedure that is really complex I think

We dont have Qualifying, and each group just goes at their allocated start time, in your case group 1, so you and the other group 1 guys just stay on the grid until the clock reaches 3m 30 seconds, then go.

We also have quite a few little practice races during the week lead up to each race, so by the time we get to Mondays everyone knows the procedure, its really simple.

In fact as the PS3/PD servers have been just getting worse and worse for stability over the last 6 months, with many people getting disconnected, we have tried so many things to help, but it seem that on race night, when people join the lobby and stay in for the duration, this seems to help, especially if they have restarted their router and cleared the game cashe before they come in.

From experience i have found that people coming and going from the room seems to start some sort of corruption,
and once started it then affects the room, and also every driver in it no matter what they do.

We dont even bother with our normal grid call outs procedure, that places group 5 at the front going to group 1 at the back of the grid, as this entails resetting the room, and we try to avoid that.

I am sure you will see how simple it is by the time we get to Monday Gp, thats if you want to join in of course.

Monaco is not the best track to dip your toes back in i guess, although i dont think you fast guys ever loose it, we will see what laptimes you can get, maybe group 2, but we shall see.

It seems that Nissman used the same thing on his gt500 race last night and had no dcs.

We had some connections issues on PCars too a couple of week ago, now it's all back to buttersmooth even in the 1h races i held.

Seems PSN is back to normal for now but i expect more issues with the division release

Well i cant wait till we get gtsport/7 or whatever it is on Ps4, as i think they have moved all the good servers over to PS4 and left us with the coal driven servers.

And you cant believe how much of a thrill i get when i try a new trick and it works, and 4 1/2 hours on Monday night,
12 people in the room, noone left it, no lag, no dcs, i i reckon its well over a year since that has happened.

I went back to gt6 to take a couple laps on gt3 cars by half of second lap i had to shut down and go back to PCars... There's no turning back, i'm stunned you haven't switched to it yet Logic. The cars feel so much more real and predictable and even tuning works as supposed to be in RL making it way easier and faster compared to gt6 were unrealistic/strange/impossible in rl setups are advantageous.

I hope GTSport will go PCars/assetto corsa path using the same care in physics else i may never be back to Gran Turismo O_O

Well, that may be the case, but i stopped game chasing many years ago, there will always be a newer better game, with improved physics and advanced graphics etc. As you know i have Pcars, but it lacked something for me, and also with Gt6 we have a great group of guys here, and there is a camaraderie that i hope will carry over to Gtsprort/7.

Hi guys, sorry not been on but just got a little bored with racing myself/lap times rather than other racers and I haven't been on much anyhow over last couple of weeks, great to see servers getting a bit better, I may join Monaco next week, not sure yet, I do like the track. On Project Cars debate, I have played a good few hours now using my mates setup, Oculus rift dk1, and also his new 4k telly, the game has many advantages over gt, but then gt has some over it, the physics are undoubtedly better in Pcars, you do get better feedback and it does feel more real, although most of my time on it was on the Oculus so am not sure if that makes a difference, it must, I actually feel the back end going in a certain direction, not just visually, i think brain plays tricks, such as on elevation changes you really feel them, although can make you have that roller coaster tummy moment, which I kinda like any hows, but it looks amazing, not great on Oculus as you see a lot of pixels, (should be fixed for consumer version), also he plays it on a PC so I can't really comment on play station version, but grand turismo for me brings a collection of cars that's unbeatable, yes theres loads repeated, but I love the variation of cars within races, I am a big road car fan by the way so my opinion is slightly biased towards GT6, but I have to admit Pcars is great and feels and sounds a lot better than GT6, I have lost my whole series of racers from Gtplanet to Pcars, and they never came back that tells me the game is great as they were much like you guys, serious racers with organised events and series's, but I still have a great group of virtual friends on here and I hate being forced to ditch my G27, but honestly don't play Pcars too much as you will not come back, it is by far a better driving experience and the feedback ONCE YOU GO THROUGH THE LABORIOUS SETUP PROCEDURE is really the best I have came across by far. Any hows enough of that nonsense, I will try get back on with you guys but as I said i kinda get bored racing myself or 1 other racer, but I do like you guys and yous are always very respectful and helpful, Francis please message me regarding your connection issues, I got new phone and setup wifi through that, completely bypassing my home internet and again it was faster than the land line connection, I would have to guess, but the data it will use from your mobile phone data plan is probably under 1GB per race, I think you really should try this out, if it works great if it doesn't you have lost nothing but a little time. Yeah you dropped PCars after like 4 days? When it was being patched and not finished on features...

You told me you missed the text chat, but on ps4 you have ingame and party chats from default along with groups and lotsa other goodies.

Sure you have a great group of "new" friends on gt6 but you lost as much "old" ones staying with gt6... Like vic, fili, (myself), ozwheels etc etc... Even pubs was racing with us this monday...

Wish you actually gave it a try. In any case GTSport will be out on autumn, i can bet on it and will be way buggier that PCars was, and for gt7 you may wait for what 1year and half?

we have a room up, no real issues .

Mon night everyone joined a fresh room, all with restarted routers and cleared cashes.
Once in the room they were not allowed to leave until after the race.
had not 1 problem with lag or dc, 12 started 12 finished, 4 1/2 hours trouble free.

John Hepburn as you know is new to the series.
His best lap times were near 3 minutes at Silverstone, and he did get in almost everyone's way from time to time during the race, although it seems he was trying to get out of everyone's way.
Looking at most drivers they could see he was not totally in control of all he was doing, and you were not the only one that had contact with him.
This was the first race he has taken part in, and he finished 4 laps down.

I suggest i ask him not to take part in the Monaco race, unless he practices and can lap at at least 1m 45s as with such a tight track he will cause mayhem.

I am sure he had no intent to have the incident, but i will have words with him about his driving.
