Slightly off topic, but:

Alfa has been removed from the manufacturers list on the website, and has been for quite some time now.

Surprised that Bertone are still up there, however...

I'd be surprised if we couldn't use dirt/snow tires with the Subaru. Especially considering all of the history they have in rallying.

Oh, and speaking of an Aston Martin rally car...

I'm not a huge fan of Astons, but where does that come from?

Sorry all.
My earlier post was rather lazy and I should have said more than I did.

I noticed that Alfa had been removed from the website list quite a few weeks ago now.
Straight away I checked in game but found it was still there.
And for the few times I've checked in recent weeks both lists have remained in the same state.

So you would think the inconsistency is just an error on the websites list.
Particularly when way back near the release of GT6 they said "The Alfa Romeo 6C Biposto Vision Gran Turismo, created by the team responsible for the Alfa Romeo 4C, will celebrate an iconic model from the 1930’s."

Disappoint at its best, the only italian manufacturer from the list gone...
This subaru vgt is looking great, maybe it's a fair opponent to the FT-1 released earlier these months

Well there's still Lamborghini and the Italdesign Giugiaro on the list, so Italy isn't out quite yet.

I wouldn't be too worried. Alfa is still listed in the list in-game. Most likely the Alfa icon on the website just got displaced when they added Mini to the list, and PD forgot to check. Their sketch also looks mostly ready so why would they pull out now?

I'd be more worried about Bertone since they've gone bankrupt, but even their picture is still there. Only time will tell I guess...

I remember the Alfa still being there when Mini was added, so it happened sometime between then and now.

I'd agree that if it was out of the lineup, PD would've done something about the in-game information, yet it's still there... but it's curious that it's disappeared somewhere at all.

It also may be that it's set to come in this next update, and the displacement occurred there... But there's no way for us to know. I hope it's still in.
From all these information, the next update will have the following:
-Subaru VGT
-Alpine VGT
-M4 Safety Car
-Mods for Original BMW M4
- Some other (PD says its significant) features.
Sounds good. Lets hope those features ARE significant.

Indeed.

FT-1 'revealed' 14th Aug.
Added 16th Sept. during regular maintenance.

So going by the words 'late November' (on the assumption it will come in tandem with the M4 update) it will be over 2 months.

I would say its more of a direct opponent to the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV VGT.

Because the Subaru VGT shares its name with the VIZIV Concept SUV? I think this Subaru looks like a proper GT and I wouldn't compare it to the rally-esque Mitsubishi VGT nor the Toyota VGT, the latter being more of a sports/race car.

It doesnt strike me as a dirt-based car unfortunately... :guilty:
Yea but don't forgot the Aston Martin VGT could have dirt and snow tires, despite looking nowhere near a rally car, so I'm 99.9% sure the Subaru will have Dirt and Snow tires available. Then again though, there's always the chance it won't.

I have been told that like 60 times now.
