I love real cars, not generic concepts that mostly look and drive the same, like I said, give me an STi over that all day.

Well, not all VGT's are generic you know, but I do agree that this Subaru is lacking something. I dunno, it's not badly executed, but it sounds like Subaru just asked Mitsubishi what they did for their VGT project and imitated them. It's not bad, but I'm more excited about the Chevrolet-Chaparral 2X VGT than this sadly.

Hint? Or is it just me?

Yes, and I'm sorry if I gave anyone false expectations. Booted up the PS3 and entered the PSStore. And when the update notification showed up I got a bit too exited. But to my defense, I just saw the numbers "1.14".
Funny though, cause I've never been one of those people that get all hyped up. More like "The update shall come when the update shall come".
I've been fooled by the PS Store before as well. They're at the same version as GT most of the time.
Yep...and guess what numbers I saw.

Once again, I'm really sorry if I made someone starting to hyperventilate and shiver of expectation.

Edit: I'll go and delete that post to avoid any more false hopes

Looks like the Mitsubishi and Merc ones and I bet it drives the same, I am looking forward to the Chaparral one though.

Edit : Jalopnik agree with me http://jalopnik.com/the-subaru-vizi...source=jalopnik_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow

Ooooo, I can't wait to take this to a 20 lap one-make arcade mode race at Silverstone with fast tire/fuel wear and light damag.......................oh, wait.

It's also kind of annoying that we can't race against the other VGT cars yet as AI. I think we've had the TS030 as a competitor car since 1.13 so this should be possible.

The VIZIV GT looks alright I guess, I'd just have to keep it from the garish colors like the Orange trim.

I'd say it'll be similar to the Mitsubishi handling-wise, and it might be marginally better than it. Dunno about the Merc, at least that has a FR drivetrain and an original design (unlike Mitsubishi and Subaru who just took old concept designs and spruced them up a bit). That's why I'm looking foward to the Chaparral; even if people despise the way it looks (or the fact that HURR DURR IT ISN'T A LAFERRARI OR A P1 DURR "VGT hate jokes"), I'll love it if it is unique and bold. And if it goes like hell...

It seems that Jalopnik had expectations of a fire-breathing WRX. Can't really blame them, the Viziv should've been bolder than it really is. Subaru does have an image of rally legends to uphold, after all.

Edit: Also, I agree with @BrandonW77. We need a special VGT championship so that at least we can give these cars proper racing use. Or is PD waiting until the whole VGT project is over to do that?

I don't understand the obsession of most VGT designers with the big rear spoilers, they just look awful to me.
Good point! (...Hey VGT designers, give us some liberties...like take off the rear spoiler, and paint the wheels...)
