where did all the suggestions go???

hahahaha.

Before I signed up to this forum, I knew I was the $hit in GT3, but there were obviously other ppl in the world that I knew were better (just like with everything in life, there's always someone better). But this Max E. guy sounds like he's the real deal. I'm too lazy to do searches and sorting through hundreds of posts (half of which are about nothing), but is this Max E. guy considered the best to have ever graced the pages of GTPlanet? Or is there a 'group' instead that are considered untouchable? I've looked through some of the past winners of the WRS, and it seems like week after week, the winners just rotate between a handful of names.

Anyhow, my suggestion would be to have a Car X vs. Car Z battle. Find two similarly endowed vehicles with a strong rivalry, and just let ppl choose between either one, to race on one track (SS5, or Grand Valley would be my favs). A few rivalries that quickly come to mind, would be mustang vs camaro, evo vs impreza, etc.

After the head banging I sustained at Rome II....I would vote for a 'natural terrain' race of at least 2 laps anywhere without walls!

Cars....? Maybe an Arcade S model...drivers choice of cars, excluding the Toyota GT-One, Nissan R390, Mazda 787B, Zonda Race, or the Esparante.

And /or driver's choice in the next group of high performance production cars. The Z06, Ruf RGT, Speed Six and any of the others in that group. :)

Well.....I'll do whatever you come up with, but walls have driven me crazy!:D

OK, just wanted to remind everyone this thread is here.

I need suggestions for next week, and I am up for anything at the moment since I have nothing in mind.

So bring it to me...
btw, at the moment, do you guys want a multi-lapper?

Well tell me what you guys are thinking and maybe that will be next week's race... or maybe it will be a bad idea and I will come up with something on my own. ;)

OK, how about these:

3 Lapper at Laguna Seca with the Shelby cobra at around 450 HP or so...

Hotlap at Complex String or Complex String II with the Acura RSX fully modded...I was driving this a few months ago and it was quite a nice drive (for FF that is)

3 lapper at one of the wet tracks with a rather obscure rally car like the Toyota Celica GT4 or something along those lines...

I just want a longer race or multi lapper, 5 -10 laps are fine with me. I'd even do an enduro and I'm sure that there are some guys who would want to as well, maybe that would draw some of the enduro guys like Bollocks, UB57, Mustang Man and some of the other enduro faithful:) Just some thoughts for Kent to consider. If someone doesn't like a certain race, there's always next week;)

How about the Escudo at Complex, I'm sure Kents would love that ;) .

A Professional (10 lap) arcade race with tyre wear in an arcade FR or garage (stock) FR.

How about any front engine/ rear wheel drive car at complex string. :mischievous:

But I am glad to see that you and famine are checking in from time to time... now to just get you two in on a race.

Thanks for the suggestions though guys, keep it up. 👍

I don't think a 10lapper at complex string is possible in this series being that you can't run an arcade professional race on cxs.

Just too hard for the average person to stay clean, none the less understand the complexities of a clean lap. (nothing personal racers. ;) )

I will think over the 10 lap idea in general, but you have got to realize...

In the first 2 weeks I was running the series, I got a lot of request for, and complaints about the lack of long races.

But when I actually do a long race, people seem to be upset about any number of different problems related to the long races.

So... if I do a multi lapper, I better see you on the track. :P

Anyway, keep with this suggestion stuff.

At the moment, I'm getting a feeling for personal choice, fast, multi lap, simulation race car.
Sound good?

Here is a race Ive just participated in, Multi Lap and Tyre wear as well:
Sim Mode/Amatuer Dream car Championship/Deep Forest/Tickford XR8 (630Hp) ended up runniing it on T3/T6 tyres
'Spose you could choose any car though Kent, The racing was close (Well the first half a lap was ;)) and its a fair challenge to get a clean run in

Alright guys, I was just talking to max to get some ideas going and he got me thinking about a choice... his suggestion vs my idea.

So I want to pose them to you.
Basically...

Grand valley with a single specific race car. ( a fast one. :mischievous: )
Or
Complex String with a choice between several vehicles.

So which would you all rather do?

If I don't get any suggestions it will come down to max e and I deciding and I doubt you all want that, so let me hear what you have to say...

There's about 7 hours till the deadline, use them wisely. ;)

later. :D

I agree with Max and Eggman. As long as the car handles halfway decent;)

Speaking of Max, I heard he won his 3rd MLG tournament in a row...that's pretty damn impressive:eek: I think I'm going to be going to the Chicago MLG so maybe I'll give him a bit more of a challenge before he beats me too:lol:

Thanks for actually speaking up egg and cfm. 👍

Literally mean that. :)

Catch you guys later... I'm leaving my house for school in less than 10 minutes, back around 10pm.

Till then,
Later. :D

btw, yeah, max e won. Congradulations.
Indeed I knew of this already.
👍 for max.

I'll be glad to meet you too as well as Max and anyone else who's going. I'm hoping to get some I-link matches with you guys when the tourney's not going on:D

...

I am watching f1 racing right now.

It looks cool.

Would you all like to take a try?

Car, track, what? :D

Fighting the congo war, (socom)
Later. :mischievous:

dude...if it is a F1 car in GT3.....it HAS to be Cote d' Azur....if you did that gokents I would love you forever.

Apricot Hill is another "F1 like" circuit in GT3.

Laguna is another that isn't an F1 circuit but is one many people would like to see F1 cars race on....

I reccommend Apricot, LSR, or SSR5, any direction :D

even though I cant race... :(

How about using the slower P002 (F688)? Instead of the traditional P001 (F094/s) :D

i'd rather see it open to pick any F1 car you like.....

If that were the case, then anyone who wanted to be competitive would drive the 94S/P001

I know this ventures ever so slightly off topic... but that avatar is kickass eggmann

And, since the P001 is ALWAYS the F1 of choice (except TC and SSW, well at least in the NTSC version) is why I suggested the P002, cause it is not used nearly as often.

I suggest UB57 gets moved up to Div.1 so the other Div.2 guys have a chance to win every now and then.;)

I promise we'll take it easy on you Bob:mischievous:. Just make sure you bring along your heart medication and your AARP card. And you have to change those socks that are older than all of us 'cuz we don't want them stinking up the Div.1 locker room.:P

You know, this has me thinking about something.

A concept we lost a while back, but one that we started the weekly with... ;)

Pro
Amatuer
Beginner

Those were the division names I started with, not div 1,2,3.

So what do you all think?
Would the names be more fitting?
I mean, ub57 is a great example of a consistantly fast runner who has been known to take the random win over some really fast drivers. So to me he would be better described generally as a pro driver, regardless of where he places in the overall.

Plus, I think these names would encourage people to continue progressing towards the pro division standard.
Dominating the amatuers and beginners week after week just doesn't sound as egotistical when you say div 2 and div 3. ;)

So yeah, weigh in on this one for me, will ya?
Thanks. :D

Bye.

A pro by any other name would still be a pro.

As I recall, Boombexus switched to Div. 1,2 and 3 because there were, and still are, some solid racers in the Beginner class who have been around for quite a while. To call these racers beginners seemed a little insulting.

At the end of the day, its just a name. Changing Division 1 back to Pro doesnt make me want to graduate any more than I already do.
