The Oreca Viper GTS-R was used just 4 weeks ago, on week 76.
Hahaha, oh yeah. Shows you how much I love the car. I loved it that week too, could've taken first place in my division over BEN if I had more time. Love the car, love that track! đź‘Ť

I would like to see a GTmode Hotlap with a fully tuned race car in a nice track, in the time I've been here I allways saw using GT mode for multilaps or street cars.

Multilap seams more fun using Arcade where we don't need to tune the car đź‘Ť

Please more race cars đź‘Ť

All these ideas are being noted guys...rest assured I want to post races you'll like đź‘Ť

The audi r10 just swept the american lemans series. I think it deserves a tribute. Maybe a hopped up r8? But I guess not right away since we're doing the audi concept this week. Maybe thats enough for a tribute.

Actually, that concept is an R8 concept, and I suppose you could say that it is "hopped up" with nitrous. I don't think it needs much more tribute than that.

Well yes that's what I thought, but I think it's a bit weird to have a concept R8 and then a racing R8. He did say that it would be weird to have an Audi and then the R8, but I wasn't sure if he knew it was an R8 anyway.
All I was saying was that I think this week's race is enough, especially since it isn't that important an event. Then again, he did say that...

Yep. Perhaps a week in the Citroen Rallycar? It's got a tad too much power for the front wheels, but on dirt it's genuine fun.

 I love CItroen for absolutely no reason at all, probably 'cause it sounds so cool...
Although, we have been having tons of French cars recently, maybe we could have a Mazda 110S if we haven't already.

I say yes to the Mazda 110S:tup:, anyways MisterWeary say he is taking notes
on all of the suggestions made and it made me think, if it's a file on the computer
how big is that file by now:D?

I'm only noting the ones since I became mod...if I exhaust all those options I'll go back further but it doens't seem like you guys are running out of ideas (which is a good thing) :sly: đź‘Ť

Yeah I know what both R8s are. I dyno at Champion Motorsport. The R10 is an animal though. I want the clean diesel you euro guys get.

Haven't driven that Mazda yet... I'm sure I'll like it too. I wonder how it compares with the 2000GT or whatever Toyota? Pick your car week? Or two car two direction week like Cyril did a couple times? :)

Yes!!!Mazda 110S at NY normal, 2000GT at reverse, or something along those lines...
Wow, it seems people here have good taste compared to some people. In the mission hall section, I always see so many people who hate the 2000GT in M11. I can't see why, it's not like the body roll ruins the car, after all, the muscle cars have that too. And the fact that people agree with me on having a race with the Honda Beat allowed? Well, I certainly never expected that especially since most people I know hate it. (Just listen too it, how can you hate that?)

That sounds like fun(Mazda 110S at NY normal, 2000GT at reverse), because I
like all of the old cars like that. The Skyline would be a fun car too. And about
the Honda beat, I like all small cars so it's no surprise I like that car;).

:bowdown:Finally, someone that understands!
I love EVERY CAR EVER MADE. Fiat 500s, Peugeot 206s, Ford GT, Toyota 2000GT, Honda Beat, diahatsu Midget, Alfa Romeo 8C, Lotus Elan, TVR Griffith, Mazda RX8, Volvo 240GLT, Honda Civic, Ford RS200, Mazda Miata, Audi Le Mans Quattro, BMW M5, Mazda 110S, Mercury Cougar, Chevrolet Impalla, Plymouth Superbird, Chrysler Crossfire, Nissan 350Z, and more. Name a car and I like it. I just want to be able to race them all!
People think a Plymouth Superbird is ugly. I don't.
People think a Honda Beat is slow. I don't.
People think 2000GTs are too old, and have too much body roll. I don't.
I think the history of cars is more important than how the cars are. Besides, most people I know (not on the forum) could drive a Nissan Skyline GT-R, and lose to a Honda Beat with me driving. They literally know 1% of all things you could possibly know about cars. I know a kid that thinks when you drift you don't have to slow down for corners. Er...yeah. I don't think so. I just wish more people would get to know the history of cars. People don't like old cars, unless they have 400+HP. I have news for ya, a 2000GT Race car could beat a Dodge Charger any day.

But, a Dodge Charger is still a good car. Unfortunately those ricers don't seem to agree. If only everyone could realise that ALL CARS ARE AWESOME!!![/rant]

Edit:This is my kind of article http://cars.ign.com/articles/501/501329p1.html

Well i'm glad your happy:), as for cars I like most if not all because just the engine
burning gas to run, than using it to turn the gearbox which drive's the rear end
to drive the wheels. It's just cool how simple it all work and yet how complex
it all is.And about the cars,
I think the Plymouth Superbird looks cool with that wing:D,
I think a Honda Beat is fast for the horsepower:mischievous:,
I think 2000GTs are cool because of there inline 6, and the E-type has body
roll but that car handles great:). And their are some people where I am that know
cars, but it's hard to try to tell someone how a engine in a RX-7 works.
And I think your right about the 2000GT beating the Charger, it's just like the
Mini's beating the Fairlane 500's. Handling can beat hoserpower:).

Hmmm, maybe we need a race sometime with a stock Charger and a 2000GT tuned to have similar power to weight ratio, or even stock too. I don't know how we would do it, probably not a WRS race, but I can't think of anything else. I just want to show that a 2000GT is a good car. And then a race with a charger and a civic, to show those ricers that muscle cars are awesome. Maybe even a Beat vs something, I bet that handling would come in handy on the Nurb'.
I don't know what I'm talking about. I can't think of a way to do that anyway, so unless there's a simple way (or PD was smart enough to have online*cough*hint*hint*cough*) then there's no way to do it, except by laptimes.

I love the fact I can take my 33 year old 240Z out and run 140 mph. Vettes, porsches, hopped up V8's have a hard time keeping up when the corners start getting tight. And to think I did all the work myself for under $16K...

Have there been any WRS races with the older Z's? I'd like to see one of those!

maybe we should do three of the cars discussed below in three different races in consecutive weeks, and let it be the choice of participants what car to use where. we did sort of the same thing in 'no rules' and it was great fun. as for the 2000gt, i think it is a great car both for driving and as a looker, especially for the time when it was made.

Sorry I was just distracted by those sexy wheels :sly: đź‘Ť

How about a WRS with the 240Z, 2000GT and '70 Skyline. You could pick any
car you want and all mods allowed(except NOS). Because all of those cars are
about the same as far as lap times go. Just a idea. And I have a idea for where
we could race the Honda Beat, allow all mods and have it at the tuner races.
The one when you race all of the tuner cars, I think that would be fun:).

Some nice ideas. I think I've got Week 82 sorted now based on ideas from here...so keep em coming đź‘Ť

So I'll repeat it: Front-wheel Drive. It's finally time that another FWD combo gets posted. Give me a lightweight, not-overpowered FWD car, a tight circuit, and I'll be happy and shut up for a month or two.

Alfa GT @ Citta di Aria/Costa di Amalfie? It just looks so smooth and beautifull there, as if the car was made for those tracks.

Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg @ Twisty Circuit, to celebrate the return of your Proton?

Maybe a new 'Ring race? Brad, kill me, but I'm beginning to like the track better every time I drive it. N-tyres, UK Roadcar, Arcade-mode, Nurburgring? I'd love to see an Elise, Ginetta, TVR (Can't get enough of those)...

Or, as I suggested before, with new regulations: Another "limited-by" race (The Miata [Like Cyril's "My first, my last, My everything"] and Keicar suggestions are still there!), perhaps another "Cylinder-race"? Here's one: Any Used, AWD, 4-Cylinder Roadcar (Basically, a battle between Evos and STIs)

We've done both of those FWD combos before, lol, but I'm down for another FWD race, preferably with lots of grip. Aka, GT Mode, softer Race tires.

Ring race? I'm always down.

Limited by power is something I REALLY want to do. Like, LOW power. 300 MAX power. 300 max in the replay or something. GT Mode I love. Arcade mode would probably work well also.

VW Lupo Cupcar @ Citta, wasn't it? But Mirage Cyborg, too? I just think that a good-handling FF, with not too much power (More than 250HP will make it understeer straight into the wall. Even 200HP is edgy)...

Limited Power, semi-open options... Something like that. And the 'ring is always welcome, preferably on some very nasty tyres (Run a TVR on N2s and you'll see what I mean).

However, my PS2 disk gives me a Disk Read Error after every lap, so no combo this week.

Spoon Civic Type-R I think it was... Very similar cars, different, for sure. But both sporty, lightweight, hot FWD hatches.

But the Mirage is basically the same car as Colby's Satria. Perhaps GT Mode, with the only power-mod being a Sports-Exhaust?

Yeah it'd prob be the closest, but I'm not gonna make a combo with my car in it just yet...might bring back nightmares :sly: đź‘Ť
