Im going to change my selection to the mid engine rear wheel drive Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited SC'86 in white,it costs $7,349 which leaves me with $51 left. It has 128hp, weighs in at 1,070kg, and came with 47,217.8 miles on the odometer.

This is my final answer.

Code:
7200cr
-5414cr (vehicle)
-50cr (oil change)
-1200cr (wing)
=536cr remaining

I ran a few test laps at Laguna Seca and am quite pleased with the results. :D

lol, a CRX with a wing. That's gotta be weird looking.

I choose my all-time goto car:
Mazda MX-5 Miata '89 (5,949Cr)
Slap a chip on it (1,500Cr),
throw in an oil change (50Cr),
and BAM, I'm down to 1Cr. Count 'em: ONE.

7,500-(5,949+1,500+50)=1Cr.

Geeze, I hope this wasn't a bad plan...

Nissan Silvia K's (S13) '91

7,136CR = 464CR left

Code:
[B]Car:[/B] Black Nissan Silvia K's (S13) '91(7,136CR-7,600CR=464CR)

[B]Modifications[/B]
Oil Change 186BHP--206BHP 248NM--274NM (50CR-464CR=414CR)

^ I'll vouch for you.
It would still be nice to see another entrant to the Top Gear comparason though.

Edit: Forgot to say, I'm in - though I'd hoped for an open discussion instead of the hidden questionaire.

I'll second that voucher! Although I have not had too much direct contact with BobK, I seen quite a few posts over the years, and find him to be a pretty standup guy.

Heh, thanks for the support, guys! I hadn't decided whether to be amused or feel insulted by a newcomer coming in here and questioning long-established members like Parnelli Bone and (humbly) myself. I felt that our records here spoke for themselves.

Well Bobk if Car-less vouches for you, then your in. Which also makes you in for the Grand Prix - Classic as well.

P.S. You can start a public dicussion thread for the Sunday Cup if you like, but some of the questions I had on the questionaire I didn't think would work to well publicly.

I'm undecided on this series, actually, but I'm certainly interested in the Grand Prix Classic series. Visions of tooling around in a Lotus Elan and Mercedes gullwing coupe again... Anyhow, what's the deadline for submitting a car choice?

Well, the new comer thing was because other then a few posts I don't know you. Others have been around here longer then I.

Deadline, well this week is really for the inviations to be accepted or rejected, plus for me to look at the questionaires from Season One and either decide or discuss some changes if needed. Next week will be the actual getting started week with the car deadline the sunday after it. Then comes the second season getting under way.

Jet Badger
If there isn't a rule that would forbid two same models to be entered, I'd love to come back to the Mazda team

The first season there was a restriction for testing purposes. This time around there isn't any limit on how many of the same type, though it would be nice if you got different color cars, thats purely asthetics.

This is turning out to be like the Convertible Challenge on Top Gear. Everyone gets the same car.

Your records do speak for themselves, but if some of the newer people haven't read many of your posts, or researched to find past posts, they have know idea who you are, or whether you'll be honest with your times or not. And the researching would be tough, since the forum only returns the last 100 posts, from one's profile. Personally I have only seen a handful of your posts recently, because we gravitate to different threads on this forum. It shouldn't be taken as an insult.

If there isn't a rule that would forbid two same models to be entered, I'd love to come back to the Mazda team

Doesn't appear to be the case. Get yourself a Miata.

Well, not a Miata, but still Mazda :) Just this time it's white. Not as light or as powerful as Silvia, but it looks better :D

I bought a Nissan Silvia... I'm lying. :D

I bought...
the same car as Jet Badger.

Car: Mazda RX-7 GT-Limited '85
Drive Train: FR
HP: 182 BHP/6500rpm
Torque: 244.31/3500rpm
Engine: Rotor:2 Rotary
Displacement: 654x2cc
Weight: 1280kg
Price+ Oil Change: 5,964 Cr.
Money Left: 1,636 Cr.
Color: Silver Metallic
Mileage: 99538.2 Km

I have to say that with this budget is hard to buy a good car that isn't a Silvia.

No one has gotten a Nissan Silvia Q's (S13) '91 that Car-less did well with last season. So far only one front wheel drive has been bought.

I took the clarkson approach and bought what I like, an MR2. I would love to own one IRL if I ever had the extra money. Instead my current plan is to get a 600cc sport bike, the 0-60 is within a second of an enzo, a freaking enzo. About $5,000 for a bike that performs like many $100,000+ super cars, the most bang for your buck. And enzos are worth at least 1mill these days. I cant wait to get the cash flow going again, I wish I thought of this when I was working... I suggest you guys do the same if ya have the need for speed like me. If you do decide to get a sport bike go to sportbikes.net and discuss your first bike selections with them, they will keep you from killing yourself.

Check out my sig, the original point of this post befor I started rambling on lol.

Economy tires may also be aquired with the car, but nothing else. All purchases must be posted. Post pictures if you like, we will all get to know our cars very well by the end of the season if we don't trade them in on something else.

It wasn't what you did, but when you did it that had me face palming and having a Homer Simpson moment. :)

P.S. I think I'm going to get a different car, for some reason it feels crowded around here. ;)
