Very nice pictures Jamesy!
I totally missed them :dunce:, hence the late reponds. đź‘Ť

1:48.157 @ Monza in the Aston!!! Woohoo! Racing Mediums too.... 1:47.379 on the softs

Hey all, mind if I race tomorrow? I'm not sure on how you organise the cars but I've got money stashed and loadsa cars so I can drive/buy my own if need be...
I'm in need of a good race where I don't get rammed off into the gravel for overtaking people =P

PSN: Duck149

Hi!
You have come to the right place. You wont get rammed here.

You get your car from Jamesy because they are all homologated. I think the ones left are RUF and Nissan GTR.

My Lambo just flew 'round Monza in 1:47.xxx, so I'm pretty pleased.

Oh how will the tyres last, because the RM only did 3 to 4 laps for me. In the race it will be better, but still!

Race ya tonight!

Just heard that I have to attend a party with the neighbours tonight ... I guess a party is fun, but I hope it ends in time! :sly: :D

So Jamesy, if I'm not online when quali starts, I'm 'having fun' outdoors, but thinking of smoking tyres at Monza :ouch:

Ok, thanks. I guess I'll pick the RUF then as I feel GT-Rs are too sluggish =)

Well it's halfway through the season, with lots to play for yet .
Weight and power are starting to play their parts as the most successful drivers are being hampered with heavier cars .
the standings at the halfway point are,

Jamesybograt.....39pts
Socalspeedfreak..32pts
Goodwolf............22pts
Jimftr.................20pts
Cobani................15pts
Ade....................14pts
Dowlin.................13pts
Hasslemoff............12pts
Omnius.................11pts
Trotterlover...........7pts
Happysilvia............5pts

With lots to play for yet ,and the mid table being so tight .
We look forward to some epic battles to come.

Other news is that we have two more interested drivers who should help mix it up in the quest for the GLORY.

So looking forward to tonight's race as the second half begins,
remember to share your car .
Drivers...
Ade/Omnius/Trotterlover .get a boost for tonight's race(they can pit whenever they like,no pit window)
Driver
Happysilvia gets a boost( boost to 585PP)

I should be there tonight, i've not ran the car since Spa.

Looking forward to it.

Sorry Jamesy I only got home about 5 minutes ago, ended up in Dublin after we went to the pub last night. I hope you understand :P
Also the reason I was online earlier and yesterday was my sister was trying to turn on the xbox and, well she failed

Great race Jamesy, and for me to get PP is unheard of. Shame I couldnt convert my 1:45.xx into anything better, but the T1 incident ruined my car. Others also suffered, and I dont think I have seen a car more damaged than Cobani's after that. The rest of the race saw me changing tyres more often than I was blinking. Welcome to Duck, and sorry I nudged you at the chicane.

No worries ade, I would've moved over for you if I knew you were there, or at least took a different line lol
I think use of the horns perfectly acceptable if you're lapping a tardy RUF driver (for example) =P

2 stints at leading the race could have been more if my pit crew had brought real rubber tyres and not chocolate ones! Ridiculous tyre wear! So inconsistent to.....real life anyone?

Welcome to the Cup Duck! You sure made a lasting impression on me! ;)

What I do to make sure that I know where the cars around me are, is to zoom the minimap in to 2 or 3. You don't need the minimap for trackknowledge, so it's a helpfull tool for car positioning when you are racing the same piece of tarmac.
Cheers.

Great pics and race report Jamesy. Really enjoyed the race. Getting PP was a bonus, but short lived after the turn 1 "Storm". I didnt know if I had gone in a bit too cautious, with it being the first lap with cold tyres, but having viewed the replay, and from your picture, I can see that the carnage came from behind. The crash crippled a good few cars, and we all had to limp round the track for an early pit stop.

I'm no tuning wizard, but that can't be good!
Great pictures Jamesy, but there's a bit too much damage in the pictures. :scared: :)
I'm sure the next race will be mostly scratch free again, cheers!

Ah never thought of having it zoomed in, have it full size usually to know to watch out for people pulling out of the pits into me =P

And I think my best lap was 1:47:978 jamesey =D
Not that I have the replay saved, nor that it matters that much - but I've started writing now so dammit I'm going to post something!!111!

First corner fun ;), I thought my race was over after that and was just going to try and get as high up the field as I could after a first lap pit to fix the damage, and like Jamsey said on the mic anything can happen and luckly it did, sorry to see you hit the wall Jim đź‘Ť ;).

Mine to. Was lucky to get 2 laps from the softs, and the mediums didnt seem much better.
2 stints at leading the race could have been more if my pit crew had brought real rubber tyres and not chocolate ones! Ridiculous tyre wear! So inconsistent to.....real life anyone?

I dont relly have much problems with tyre wear. If I had had chance to tune the car more for Monza I most probably could of got 8 laps out of softs.

I do agree they are not like real life, but you can make the tyres last for longer than what you think in GT5.
