It's a miracle!:D
No, but seriously, I'll find a video or something, I'm sure most everyone here can turn 44's and 38's easily enough.

Aha.
The crutch that is the driving line is holding me back then, I didn't know some of those lines before.

The DS3 is also a limiting factor, I can't get the smoothness in the longer corners...

I've been beaten in time trials, races, and complete race series by DS3 users. ;)

But yes, this is actually a closer track regarding time differences, at sector 2 that week, everybody was incredibly close, it was only in sector 3 that the faster drivers were really able to get away. (In both the TT and 3D3 races)

If I can revive my old GTP_smrtb0mb account I'll sign up to test the GT500 cars. Now where did I put that password...:banghead:

Oh for what it's worth... I drive auto and did a quick tune on an Arta to meet the shootout specs. 500hp, max downforce, suspension height -10, and just barely managed to run a 1:38.99 after several spinouts. That car + this track =

Even me?! :D Well, I've achieved both, though it did take a lot of driving. The GT300 took more effort though, strangely.

Also…is it just me…or does the phrases "tuning" and "Fuji" not mix? I can't seem to find enough of a reason to tweak an already good, stable platform like the GT300 cars, and my driving doesn't seem to help.

Can I request that all testers add me on PSN now, since I might not have access to the PS3 later in the month...

Thanks :)

Gotcha :)
I tried tuning something for GT500, a Tom's Castrol Supra '00, but it didn't go so well, running 1.40.xxx :grumpy:

That's alright DS3 wise, though I'd expect it a bit faster as it is that bit easier to drive. Anyways, you can pretty much add a good 2 or so seconds to the times that Doc and Slacker posts, since they both drive with a wheel and are both completely insane on all matters driving.

I still have no clue how you got that damn BMW 2002 Turbo to be remotely competitive against Elises that time, Doc. Dammit, you made us all look like a bunch of failures last time.

It's a lovely car!
Btw, I used the tune posted in my garage (with a very few changes).

:)

Could the tuners be very kind and add me on PSN? :P
GTP_Michelin9960 is mah PSN.
9 days left to all tunes be posted.

Facing the dilemma of entering my GT500 tune and probably getting the slowest time, or not entering it and potentially headbanging wondering why I didn't enter it.

Trouble is my driving is nowhere good enough to set consistent lap times with it :/

Tune it to your best, post it, and learn from the feedback given.

I have never won a shootout, but have gained so much knowledge from entering them. You won't be last, that spot is saved for me :dopey:

I've only entered 3 shootouts but the time I spent on them taught me probably 75% of everything I know about tuning. Some might say 75% of next to nothing...lol...but still when you intensely focus on one car and it's attributes, making small changes here and there to search out minute changes in handling, it does translate into all your other tuning.

By the way, turning down the LSD and turning up the rear toe might help with the exit oversteer but with 500 HP and 400+ ft/lbs of torque on tap, and only 1100 kgs on RH tires, you cannot eliminate all the exit oversteer, especially on Fuji where the last 4 corners all involve slightly negative g's on corner exit. I've done all I can with a couple of cars and got them to turn some good laps, but you still cannot mash the throttle with any of them or it will lose the back end in a hurry.
