You know what? Enough.

If the next post you make is more of this endless argumentative drivel it's being deleted.

Nissan has announced it's 2013 motorsports program with its full detail reports here

And in another report, the entry list for the 2013 Super GT has been released, here's the entry list for the GT500 teams,

I already don't like the new exhaust, it takes away that signature scream many of us love.

In the video you could definitely tell the difference between the Weider HSV and the other HSV's running. They don't sound the same anymore, but the new sound does sound good. If Honda is going all out for the HSV's last year, they must have saw a gain by having the front exhausts.

Here's a better picture of the Keihin's HSV-010 side exhaust, doing some testing at Suzuka.

Another view on the side exhaust of the Raybrig's HSV-010, note that its livery indicates off season testing.

That livery on the Epson is the one they'll be using for this season. It was a 'design contest' and I think that one received the most votes.

They also speak about the next GT500 NSX.

I'm guessing that's from the paper edition? Shame he didn't throw up a scan, some of us can read Japanese.

If the NSX ends up as an AWD MR with hybrid trickery, I hardly see how it can be considered a GT500 car. It'll be essentially a prototype in a class of it's own that happens to be allowed on the track at the same time. I don't see any fairness in letting a car compete that breaks so many rules.

That's the type of confirmation I've been looking for 👍

Should be an interesting car to watch the progress on!

If Honda is allowed to run a hybrid the rest of the makes will as well! You can be sure of that. Lexus LF-LC anyone?

Can DTM run hybrids though? Or do the GT500s just disable all their hybrid systems when they're in DTM races and live with the weight penalty of carrying the electric gubbins around? Or run cars with two hardware configurations somehow?

I like what they're trying to do by keeping the NSX as true to it's roadgoing incarnation as possible, but it seems like it makes things much more complicated.

Bring back the S2000 and have an S2k GT500 car. Problem solved. :D

AWD as in a regular active system or AWD as in hybrid stuff turns the front wheels, I wonder. A regular system seems like something that the other manufacturers would object to.

Yeah, there's still a chance they could sort of pull an Audi, making one Hybrid MR and one non-hybrid FR. Since the MR would only be able to compete in Japan iirc.

I'm not sure Honda even care to race in DTM. The common chassis and the tie up between the 2 series was a way to save costs and a way for both the brands and series' to get a more international base. From the autosport and Honda's motorsport boss it's confirmed the NSX will be mid engine, but hybrid? AWD? RWD? That's yet to be seen. A little while back there were talks about future hybrid powertrains in GT500 and also in DTM, and the driving factor of it was to attract each other. In other words, a possible future direction of both DTM and GT500. It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the near future.

Just a little info here, Weider's HSV-010 doing tire testing at Okayama.

On 8th of March, 5 GT500 teams and 1 GT300 team did a test day in Fuji Speedway. The entry list are,

  5. #39 Denso Kobelco SC430

The fastest time was set by Hiroaki Ishiura, the #39 driver, in 1 min 31 sec.
The other team other than the #37 KeePer SC430, were running with the same package as last year using a low downforce setup used in 2001.(*translation seems to be dodgy... :P)

That's 2012's aero package on the #37. The other SC430's were running new parts for this year as you can tell from the unpainted body panels.

Here's a link showing Subaru's new, wider, BRZ http://car.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/news/20130308_590987.html
Remember, this season the BRZ is using GT500 sized tires made by Michelin. Another thing to note is the BRZ is made by R&D Sport this season, not STI as it was last year.

Yup, it is wider... Subaru did it to compensate the weight increase and to manage the load during cornering when running in long distance.

Confirmation, only the #37 KeePer TOM'S and the #19 WedsSport Advan SC430 will run last year aero package while the other teams, the #6 Eneos Sustina, #36 Petronas TOM'S, #38 Zent Cerumo and the #39 Denso SARD SC430 will use the 2013 aero package. This is during testing at Okayama on the 26th Feb 2013. Here's the link, http://as-web.jp/news/info.php?c_id=2&no=46663

Love the BRZ. Mola running BBS as opposed to traditional Rays on NISMO cars. Any info as to why?

ACO and JAF recently made an agreement that will allow the vehicles from the GT300 class to participate in the 5th Round of AsLMS (Asia Le Mans Series) that will be held at Fuji Speedway on the 20th-22nd of September this year. The race will be open to not only to the vehicles from the FIA GT3 specs, but also to JAF regulation specs, such as the Subaru BRZ GT, Toyota Prius GT and the Honda CRZ GT. Super GT points will be awarded, sort of like "Bonus points" that will encouraged teams from the GT300 class to participate in the race. Here's the link to the news from Autosport Japan.
