Onboard the BRZ at Sugo. Mighty cornering ability in this machine. 3 poles from 4 races, its the fastest GT300 car EVER. Too bad they aren't able to reproduce that speed in the race.

Yeah, i agree. The BRZ is fast in the qualifying session but come race time, their performance dropped. It's a similar situation as the Mercedes in F1 but they know that the problem lies with the Pirelli tires, unfortunately they solve it in a hard way. On the the Subaru, i think maybe they encountered the same problem with the Michelin but one thing's for sure, i really do hope that they can find the solution to their problems with the race pace.

The BRZ is literally the fastest GT300 car ever (in terms of lap times). Suzuka testing last month saw the car run in the 1:59 range! GT300 records show the fastest lap to be in the 2:01s.

As for their races, the tires seem to be great but perhaps not iin deal temperature for the Michelin's.

Qualy and race lap times will never be the same on a series like SuperGT, specially with a heavily aero dependant car like this which is probably down in power and has a much narrower powerband than the GT3 machinery it races against. Once traffic comes into play compromised corner entry/exit speeds will take a toll on race pace.

Just a reminder to all that the Suzuka 1000km race will happen this weekend.

Lukas Ordonez is sitting in the S-Road GTR GT3 as the number 3 driver

Jörg Müller will drive in the Hastune Miku Z4 GT3, personal favorite driver of mine!

Man I wish SuperGT had more coverage on this side of the planet, I'd love to see this race with Radio LM commentary!

There are some acceptable quality streams of J sports 4 if you google for SuperGT stream. Posting the link is against AUP sadly.

Some Youtubers also upload the races within a few weeks.

I hope that with the DTM/SuperGT joint regulations a bit of coverage will wash over to germany.

2014 cars are out

AWW YISS

God damn gorgeous!

Well, the grill on the NSX is still weak, but DAYUM that GT-R... HOW DID THEY MAKE IT SEXIER?!

I have to say that GT-R is just :drool::drool:

It looks so much better than the current version now that all the sharp edges are gone, much better flow. The all carbon fiber look is sexy as well.

It seems no DRS for the SGT cars, at least the swan neck wing doesn't show the lever visible on the current DTM cars.

What car is the Lexus anyway? Haven't seen it mentioned and they all look the same to me normally so I can't tell what this is.

Though I like the fact they've even translated their bonkers grill design here too.

It's based of their LF-CC concept. Damn, I was trying to go the the race at Suzuka but couldn't get time off from work. The 2014 cars are supposed to do some demo runs tomorrow after quali

I just watched the release show and I must say I'm in love with the Lexus, the Nissan is getting better each year and the Honda is slowly growing on me.

Err, they're not DTM style boxes, which is brilliant. The GT-R was the one that would show off what the new rules are really like, and it is much better than I thought.

That GT-R is sexy. I think I'll need to have a cold shower.

Man, gotta love that '80s fanfare soundtrack xD OH MAN

Am I the only one that prefers the old GTR? It's not ugly, its just missing the extreme that I like about the current GTR. Thats what I liked about SuperGT, the extreme cars. I hope it doesn't turn into a copy of boring DTM (Used to like DTM but the new rules killed it for me) .

I know, but you have to say that it looks better than DTM so far. I think it's the tracks, driving, and overall determination of the teams that makes Super GT what it is. In retrospect, no matter what cars have been used throughout the years, it has always provided close racing with a lot of contact. I am quite confident it will stay that way.

I hope you're right! I think everything will be allright if they stay away from dtm's tire rules and drs.

Three of the best looking racing cars in recent times, all unique on their own.

I think many will prefer the old GTR, as well as the HSV over the NSX. The new Lexus has a nicer face than the old SC430, but the shape is now bland and boxy, so I don't even know if that car is an improvement.

I'm glad it's not as bad as it could have been, but for me these new cars are nowhere near the current cars in terms of looks and excitement (and probably sound).

Unfortunetely, DRS will be legal next year. 👎
So I haven't been paying much attention but... is the NSX MR or FR?
MR

Am I the only one who thinks that the teams will start experimenting with Aero packages etc in order to break away slightly from these regulations and maybe push the boundaries a bit? You also have to remember that the series have distinct engine regulations until 2017, so there will be a substantial difference between this and DTM for the time being. If they realised that the racing wasn't up to standard, then i'm sure they would talk about it with DTM and maybe even drop these rules in the future.
