GN+ and I had discussed the issue about a week ago and I thought we'd come to the conclusion that we were going to announce that the tires would be Racing Soft for qualifying and Racing Medium for the race. Of course, I'm not sure if he and I were 100% on that but since no change to the regulations has been made by the big boss, I guess we aren't 100% after all.

I addressed the tire situation a few days prior. It's in the real thread. Tire selection will be different each week.

If tires will be different each week, where are we going to run the races? Track meet has no tire wear. If there's not going to be any tire wear, then really there is only one tire choice. Unless, tires will be specified for each race by the race officials?

There's no tire wear, but you can still choose tires. And yes, the tires will be specified on which to use before each event.

That is 100% clear now. Thanks for clarifying. :) Can't wait for Race 1! 👍

Round 1 has yet to be announced. Wait for round one, or carefully read the last half of page 5 and all will be answered. The problem was a schedule change do to some uncertainty about drivers wanting to compete in endurance events. That explains the... shall we say inconsistant rules.

I took another look at the Taikyu Series website to see what you guys were talking about, and found out that pretty much every race is an endurance race. :ouch:

Rd.1: A 100 lapper
Rd.2: 300 miles (about 95laps)
Rd.3: A 24Hr Race
Rd.4: I believe a 4hour race
Rd.5: 400km race(about 108laps)
Rd.6:Another 400km race
Rd.7: A 300mile race to end the season

I know it's hard enough getting people to particpate as it is. However, I think it could be nice to race one enduro, even if it is optional.

The real races also have two and three drivers. ;)
I'm pretty sure at least one race this season will be endurance.

If I can still get into round 1

Driver: SagarisGTB
Car: #25 ADVAN GT3
Porsche 911 GT3

I believe there was a racing series of the same name last year though I dont know what happened, I remember doing a race though it seems that series ditched me.

You're in. It's the same series, but it was the drivers that ditched the series. I only received three or so times for the second race.

Hey Chris. Good to see another endurance racing fan aboard. GN+ will add you to the entry list ASAP. Build your car asap and get to the track. Round one is already underway. If you don't understand how OLR's work or if you have any questions about the series you can't find an answer to, feel free to either post here or private message myself or GN+.

Some of the changes to be made to classes will be announced by myself later in the day. Currently I am watching the Rolex race from Infineon but I'll do another hour of quali in my Subi before finalizing the changes to the regulations.

TECHNICAL REGULATIONS CHANGES:

Changes to be made for ROUND 2:

ST2: Carbon Drive Shafts are now mandatory.

ST3: Carbon Drive Shafts are now illegal.

ST3: Must use STOCK transmission.

ST4: Semi-Racing Suspensions MUST be used.

ST4: Add 50kg ballast weight. Where it is positioned is free.

ST5: Carbon Drive Shafts are now illegal.

ST5: Brake Balance Controlers are illegal.

ST5: Must run STRAIGHT TYPE A wing.

Changes to ST1 cars may follow though those must first be mulled over by all members of the sanctioning body. More changes should be expected to be made throughout the year. Make sure you have enough credits in the bank to get through the changes. Expect some big ones, though they may in actuality never come. Be prepared to build yourself a brand new car. In the event racers find themselves building new cars, a testing thread will be opened to allow people to get onto the same page as one another in terms of performance and break the cars in.

My mistake. I must have mistakenly pressed 4 instead of 5, then looked up and without thinking assumed because four was there I still needed to add 5. Thanks for pointing that out and I'll remember to check my posts in the future!

EDIT: That wasn't my mistake. I just wrote the wrong change. Check that post for information.
