Should we all turn off our mics before race start?

If you hit the start button and return to the pits you won't lose your time if you exit to where you pick your car/tune etc. you normally lose your time. But I've loss my time not exiting the track. Go figure?!

Yeah, after I hit the wall I didn't feel like driving anymore so I hit the little man thinking I would go to the pits. Wrong.

"Boshuter quits the race on lap 3 after overshooting the hairpin and hitting the wall."

You are joking right?

If i'm in error i'll fix it right away.

EDIT:
As far as I can tell you were unable to turn and braked into the area just outside the hairpin. Then your car sat there for several seconds and then disappears from the track for the rest of the race.

The lag at the beginning of the race was still horrible. Hopefully nest week we can have a more stable connection as host.

Lag was pretty much nonexistent on my end. Did anybody else experience extreme lag? The only car I consistently noticed lagging was Scorpions. You seemed to be having connection issues as well.

NCR, yeah I was on a 1-stop strategy and probably could have been right with you and Grayfox if I did not visit the beach so often near the end of my stint. In retrospect, 1-stop was a mistake as the tires had no grip. I made the decision on the fly, around lap 11 when I was still running decent time. At the end, I pitted again on lap 17 or 18. That was a long race. 25 laps would have been better.

JT, the way i understand is that if you set a lap, then exit to the lounge, the game remembers your time as long as you do not leave the pits again. If you do leave the pits again, then your earlier time is erased.

Bo, I watched the beginning of the race after your comment last night. From my replay, it showed lag on your car and I did not see any contact either. What happened?

DJ/Godangit, I had a little lag but mostly in terms of track resolution. No lag like Rome reverse where I lost grip.

DJ, I thought my fast lap was in the 57 or 58 range. I have to check my replay.

thats what i originally had suggested LMAO

Thats good to know.

Hmm, the race was really good on my end and event watching the replay most racers were smooth and lag free whenever I switched to them.

I will double check for you but it will be a wait of at least an hour to determine if anything needs to be done and then a bit longer to change anything that may need changing.

I didn't know what to do. When I left I was listed at 5. When I came back on I was listed 12. Do the numbers on the player list mean nothing as the lap time previously set stays valid?

JT, yes the leaderboard is only the current times and not all the times. So when you exit to lounge and then come back in the leaderboard will show you as last but when race start your time will be remembered. The key is not to leave pit again unless you are setting time.

Confusing for sure. I found out about this in a cappuccino series I joined.

I was going to do trial and error next race. Now I don't have to. Thanks.

I think 30 was good as it created different pit strategy for each driver. We had the same pit offset at SSR5 also. I had to go for 2 pits each time. It causes more realistic stress than knowing it's just a 1 pit race. What's everyone else like?

I had lag through most of the race, very choppy frame rate. I wasn't able to run good laps till 75% of racce was over. It wasn't as bad as last week but wasn't great. I can host next week if you want. I have about the same connection speed as snoopy and have held14 people with out problems. Scorpion was lagging bad when I caught up to him. I would rather do private lobby to stop the annoying info boxes popping up. That seemed to happen ever time I was heading into a corner:)

hey snoopy you were right. I gave your time to mattics it seems. I will be redoing everything as soon as the replay finishes. My apologies.

I figured out what I did wrong. When I set the Fast Lap I wait until the 3rd place finisher crosses the finish line and then pause the game and record my data. I'm assuming that on the last lap nobody will be setting their fastest lap.

What happened in this instance was you (snoopy) were still battling mattics when I had paused the game and so when I went down the right hand list of drivers/cars mattics was a spot above you because you had not passed him yet. I didn't notice this the first time and so he got your time and you got his.

So sorry for the mix up! I double checked the other racers and their times and they are all correct. Would both parties be okay with an asterick saying something along the lines that the times were posted incorrectly and should be swapped?

DJ, no worries. I wondered whether there was an issue with the game/lag since we had been discussing that, so that was the reason for my question.

When I was catching your slipstream towards the end of the start/finish straight, I was about to exit your slipstream into the braking area and you suddenly jumped closer to me which was why I punted you into the gravel. So sorry for that, but I did stop to make sure you didn't lose your track position before re-attempting the pass, I think I just need to be careful and not try to keep the slipstream until the last second before overtaking.

In general regarding reducing lag issues is to use a cable connection rather than the wireless, I have mine wired and I've never had any comments about me lagging, though I do have quite a high connection speed as well so maybe that isn't it...?

No worries soppa. If u had a chance to see the pics you will notice I attempted to joke about it.

I didn't get a chance to look at pics yet, when I tried earlier they were taking forever to load so I gave up, read the report though. I really appreciate what a good job you do considering the limited control they give during replays. I like to watch the replay with your report as a guide to where the action was, can't thank you enough for what a great job you're doing running this league ;)

Second that.

i'm sorry if I am lagging. Not sure why, I have sent out an e-mail to my provider to see what the issue is. Right now I have a 10Mb/s download with a 1Mb/s upload speed with a ping time of 24ms. I know that my provider was upgrading from cable lines to fiber optic lines this summer, maybe with this good weather they have started earlier.
If it is a big problem I can step out of the series until the fall when all of the upgrades should be completed.

DJ,
Any confirmation on next weeks race? As of right now the votes are 5/4 Camaro RM/Ferrari-NSX

If it's not inconveniencing you to much I would like to hold the race in your lounge this week and see how it goes. Let me know so I can edit the OP and event thread on our website.
