I gave up in the end. Sick of the non GTP_ idiots who cant drive for, You know what i mean. Just a little tip to GTP_bluedot, Use those mirrors. I was up the inside of you at dunlop curve and you clearly didnt know i was there and pushed me off track and didnt wait.

I thought we had some good racing tonight. If you was on the inside, how could I have pushed you off? Sounds like a racing incedent to me...
Sorry mate.

Sorry mate.

Seriously its no big deal. Just thought i would mention it, I was right next to you following homeforsummer i think, and as soon as he went by, you cut straight across me. Maybe tomorrow we can have another go at it. 👍

Here is the DC Tuning entry for the Suzuki Swift Cup. Have fun, and please post any feedback (good/bad) in my garage thread or here.

Thanks, Ill link it in the first post and have some fun with it tomorrow.

Sounds like there was some close racing tonight, good to hear.
However, the incident with Sphinx, Southend Rage and the Integra driver draws an important point that I think I need to address in the rules on the first post.

Although, yes, this is primarily for gathering GTP members together for some close racing, this should not come at the expense of other drivers who happen to be on the track. The image of GTP should be upheld just as much as in normal racing, we should respect other drivers as much as we do other GTP members. Just because there isnt a tag in front of a driver's name, doesn't mean he's any less of a driver and should be given the proper respect.

I'm not implying that Southend Rage was not treating the Integra driver with little respect, I was not there to judge that. However, it did make me think about how some of us may get carried away with this competitive edge.

Anyway, I should be back racing tomorrow, or maybe tonight if anyone is still on now?

Yeah, homeforsummer is a bit quick, my eyes were probably on him. I did'nt intend to cut you up. I honestley am trying to be clean! See you next time?
Cheers, bluedot.

Just got back from a business dinner so couldnt race :ill: tonight, have caught up though reading the thread.

I agree with the mirror bit but Id like to add one addition to this. I have 2 buttons on my G25 that allow me to switch between rear view and 1 side view. Unfortunately it doesnt have the 4 way button on the wheel so 1 side will always be blind.... (I drive bumper view)

Ardius pretty much captured my thoughts on this. I'd rather forfeit a place (or 2) than intentionally punt someone off even though I might be REALLY tempted to do so (and believe me there have been plenty of those thoughts).
I'm carrying the GTP badge and therefore feel obliged that in ANY race, be it this gathering or a totally non GTP related one I uphold the GTP rules. It is very easy to lose a reputation, it is very hard to get a good reputation and even harder to keep it.
I will not comment on the particular issue, I wasnt there but I do hope and trust that many here abide by the same.
I apply the GTP rules to all 3 of my PSN ids.

AMG.

Just reading through the thread, this little series looks like a blast! Shame that 7pm is like 3am here in Aus  Oddly enough, the other day I couldn't sleep so I got up and did some racing at about 3:30am...it was like a GTRP-a-thon...those boys can drive I tell's ya!!!

Ah yes... Dunlop (I don't really know corner names, had to check on the net to see what was happening at this corner). I was getting good runs out of the last S-curve and taking Dunlop flat out all the way around, which is why I kept taking people around the outside and then having the good line for Degner! I can see how it's a bit distracting though...

Was good fun racing with both of you though, it's great how closely matched most GTP drivers seem to be.

I think this might be the case for some drivers. I was in the middle of the Swift Cup tonight and experienced some let's call it overenthousiastic driving from a few GTP members, resulting in a few off track excursions for me.

Please keep an eye on all cars on the track and don't solely focus on the Swifts or GTP tags :sly:

I also raced Homeforsummer tonight, hats off to him. He passes with care and gives room when he gets overtaken, also to non-GTP tags. That's how it should be 👍

I'll be racing more tonight :) I pushed the integra off because he was punting me, I would not have done it otherwise, and I was looking out for him, I had no choice, these guys are unpredictble :)

However, even if some idiot does Punt me today I will ignore him, seeing the trouble it has caused.

Nice to see that there were tight races yesterday, again 👍 I think I can join in today. Hope to see you all in the evening!

And good point added to the rules, Ardius! 👍

I agree, I hope to see you tonight, as I should have more time to play :)

Have anyone tried all of those four tuners setups..? What do you reckon to be the fastest? ...of course it also depends on what suits your driving style. I guess I´ll do it later tonight, but would love to hear thoughts...

edit: Just removed something unessential...

Why would your PB lap time in Free Run be "unessential". I would say it's a good method of making comparisons between each setup? I won't repost the lap time as it's clear you've decided not to post it, but I have to say, that's a great time you have there. 👍👍

Any chance of sending me the replay files for it, I always like to watch a good hot lap?

Maybe just hoping the tuners would stay on comfort zone... Though there might already be faster setups provided... we`ll see tonight. :scared:

 *waits for the Swift Cup with points to begin*

But I can send it to you (just promise you won´t reveal the secret´s you´ll find there...). If you just tell me how that is done easiest. And I think there is A lot room for improvement still. Maybe 2:2x:500 is possible?

Mums the word. :sly:

  • place a memory stick into PS3
  • Go To 'Saved Data Utility' in the PS3
  • Scroll through your saved replays till you find the correct replay
  • press triangle button and then select 'Copy'
  • 'Select Destination' to save to your memory stick
  • plug your memory stick into your PC
  • zip the folder named 'PS3' and send to me
  • send to pdq_sphinx @ hot mail dot com

Thanks.

Hmm, I think I might have to be trying out a certain setup, eh?

A Cup with points wont happen for a long time, maybe not even till the private rooms. I dont think its a good idea to try and pull it off with online like it is, after seeing what happened to the board batttle.

Oh, and it may not be a Swift Cup forever, like I said before, I plan on running this along side the Tuner Showdowns as a sort of "Open" Tuner Showdown for everyone to try the tunes and also to ensure that the tunes contiune to be used and tested. The way it's looking, it might be a BMW Cup next.

I need to do more than provide a car for the Cup to earn sponsorship rights I feel. What, if anything (if nothing perhaps I don't deserve the advertisement) can I do to help out here? I really feel like there's something as a tuner I am not doing for the GTP community all of a sudden.:indiff:

I cant think of anything, haha. The only thing I ask is to keep running the tuner showdowns with as many tuners as possible, for now that can be the source of cars for this event. 👍
Youre doing a fine job as it is, and youve been paid back by the community quite fine too! Just keep up the good tunes!

I think it says enough that the TLD tunes are becoming some sort of benchmark for the others to compare to.

Continuing to run the Showdowns I can do. I never thought of it as a source for cars to be used in the event.👍 However, GTP has paid me back more than I deserve, and keeping up the quality might be hard at the moment. If I'm a benchmark, then perhaps other garages should start setting the bar higher, as NLxAROSA did, because at the moment my new tunes don't seem to be "all that" like my earlier ones were.

Had a good race all the way through with GTP_vanuber7

Great racing with ya dude. You pulled out a top pass on me aswell:tup: Coming up to the tight hairpin on the last lap, I was trying a pass around the outside of one of the integras. I didn't realise how close you were and you took me down the inside:lol: Caught me napping for sure!:dunce:

It does highlight the great possibility of passing on the way into the hairpin (instead of out of it)

Well, dont kill yourself over it. I dont know about your quality going downhill, but perhaps you're taking on too much at once? Rather than work yourself harder, I suggest you relax and take your time. It sounds like you're going to go insane trying to find the perfect tune or something, so just chill and I'm sure you'll come up with something special.
The one thing I dont think you should feel is pressure from this forum, if you do, then I definitely recommend you take some time away from it.

Sorry if I misinterpreted you, but thats the feeling I get from your posts. :)

You guys are wondering what setup is the best, I chose the TLD one, simply because it was the first on the list. I won both races I done, I could do a replay of a free run, but the times you get in online races are different. I don't think there's much difference between the four setups, perhaps a tenth of a second, it's all down to how much PP the car has, and wether it is tuned for Speed or cornering.

I think the tunes just appeal to different types of drivers rather than each being faster than the other.

I'll be racing tonight it seems. going to be up till 4 at least studying so a quick break before sleeping will be good.

Just had a race with southendrage and gtp_nige. Was a lonely race for me but looked to have some great battles behind me with a few cars. Was that integra punting? Thought I saw it try punt 2-3 times. A win for L-tune :D
