No, it is because it is late there, and you are not making much sense... looking by your last post here.

LOL... Don't put the blame on me...

Seriously the_kingb_, monsterGAUZ, SAi-66, TwinTurboCH. I can't remember being hit by them, ever. There are loads more, also a couple of Team NEMESIS.

I don't mind faster cars following, I usually can track them in the rear view mirror. That way I can actually speed up or flick the tail out more in anticipation of a crash turning it into a tap..Provided I don't spin out, it makes for fun tandems.

I did not cut anyone off, i just kept the line. If you have to wait most of the time, it is not my problem, go drift somewhere else, or better yet, if you want an open road, drift offline. Now the physics are the same.

What you know about simple respect and common sense? Lol I will not even comment about that, seriously. All you care about is your "status" in a videogame.

Edit: I am done replying. You can continue talking.

Edit 2: Just a curious detail, yesterday, Natty overtook me many times while drifting, i kept the line, yet she managed to overtake in the correct place, without touch my car. So... yes, it is possible, just learn on how to do so.

👍

I'll leave this here...

Haha we have something in common ^^ I go all out when chasing as well :D I just want to get close to the lead car bumper, transition is a pain though. Too much brake or let of your gas for too long your lead car will be far gone.

I'm good at catching up to the lead car but I always end up falling back...

I am just really aggressive. 👍 I go all out when chasing! :sly:

That's also a point why this thread was created. Ever heard of the term: Calculated risks? Don't go all out without a reason. Tandeming is fine, but when something happens you should be able to react :P

Yep.

And if you can't and crap happens you should at least say you are sorry.

I know you and Eric have at least seen me say if I am leading and i know i am going to spin or mess up i throw it out and away on the line.

It is something to always try to do and should do in any kind of racing

Or if its missile's and you're "drifting for fun" who cares about hitting each other. :shakeshead:

Why take it so serious. Just sad.

Because 90% of the drift lobbies aren't missile lobbies? And in the missile lobbies, I don't care really. But even in those lobbies there is a difference between accidents and stupidity. ;)

Everyone makes mistakes. Some more than others. You need to know the other person's style in order to properly follow. If you're good at adjusting to situations then it makes you better at following. If the person in front isn't being consistent then don't drift with him/her.

I don't think it's fair to blame someone for leading poorly or bumping you a few times during a run. If you don't want that person to follow then don't allow them to.

If the lead car wants to pull 90 degree entries it's fine with me as long as he/she follows through and doesn't go too bad off the line then I'll probably be right there with em'.

If you don't like being hit then drift alone. If you get hit too much then there's something wrong with the lobby you're in or your leading. There are cases where the lead car would think he/she is doing a good job when that's not the case. It's also understood that drivers have different styles.

Bottom line for me is that if I am in a room with people that I know are good drifters and I'm getting hit a lot, then something is wrong with my driving. If I am following someone and they have a different style then I will adjust to suit. There is no one way to tandem. Only rule to me is be courteous.

I don't join open lobbies due too, rooms are setup right, tires aren't restricted and they are always on tsukuba or suzuka. If you just drifted with gtp folk I'm sure you wouldn't have to deal with this.

Tandeming is like trying to start a conversation with a stranger. Either you will get along with that person or you will know within 5 seconds that you don't care for them. If after the first corner you have a bump and you think it was their fault or that they suck, then stop your car and wait for the next person, etc. Don't get mad or tell anyone that they suck! It's just that you don't mesh with that person's style! Not everyone gets along. Most people end up not liking each other anyway.

What if it was a mistake give them more than one chance.

Crashes and hits happens in drift. It is common, get used to it.

No one said that they aren't used to it.

The point is to try to better yourself.
And have common courtesy while doing so.

i really like this post its so true.. imo to the smoke thing, yes its hard but if you have ever tryed this in real life its evan harder, its just a realistic game feature..

Which is why some people obviously struggle less with it :)

Like I've said a couple of times, mistakes happen. I know the difference.

Tandeming for me is just to have fun.. There is people who I just can't drift with because they are to fast, hard lines ect. But I still just love drifting with them.. and I do make alot of mistakes. While leading I spin and I just quit any speed and try to get as much angle as possible. While chasing It gets even worst.. I can only get door to door tandem with a hand of people I know, With any others I can also get close as fudge to them but I can't do it cleanly.. I will try to focus on my angle and line to much and I will end up giving some baws level love taps.. I stopped joining random public rooms a few weeks ago since people would just don't think it twice and kick me out of the room calling me noob. I lost tons of confidence because of people like that, that insted of giving some kind of tips they will just bombard me with insults. I now only join rooms with people I know well and that know my drifting style. I've tryed to change my way of drifting for good but I never get to find a tune or car I feel good with except for my chaser.

Truth is, it's much different in a game... There is much less depth perception, and even sound perception in GT5. When working in a 3D space, such as in real life, sights and sounds go a long way. The game will always be running on a flat screen using speakers to simulate a real environment. The smoke is a bit too thick for gaming purposes IMO.

I can guarantee some of the best drivers in GT5 have never been to a real track... They just know how to play video games really well.

Remember, continuous mistakes are still just mistakes. It's the intent that determines whether or not something was truly a mistake. Assumptions in either direction can lead us toward an inappropriate course of action. Some people just need advice and are too afraid to ask... Some people are just trolls and need a foot in they... 💡 they just need to be kicked.
