TCV5 HURRY THE HELL UP thread

That signature of yours says otherwise Supra Addict. :P

It's great to see so many of you getting tunes together so quickly, this should shape up to be one of the toughest Tuner Cups yet. 👍

Next stop for me, developing my HEAVYWEIGHT contender. I'm aiming for 450hp and just over 1300kg to make a decent competitor. 👍

lol why yes it does. But no R32 here. Im building a middlewight and possibly a lightweight. . . depends on how my middleweight build goes, but everything is VW

I can take two guesses to the middleweight straightaway.

Bora or Beetle RSi. More likely the Bora as all out, it doesn't reach middleweight power limits and can still be very decent. :P I've already tested it before for a GME tune but knocked it back, it wasn't up to my standards.

As for lightweight, I'll say the Golf GTi Mk I or old school Karmann/Beetle. ;)

Does anybody remember... My Oldschool MK1? didn't fair well lol... would like to see another one lol

Actually I got a mk5 golf down to middle weight
And I'm going to try and put a mk1 in for lightweight but no pro
Promises lmao

Found a new middleweight I'm going to work on, with 375hp exactly and just over the minimum weight requirement.

Still keeping the other as my backup however.

Remember senamic, it can be lighter so long as it's WPR is over 2.785. :)

Yep, I remember that. I am more making a car that I like to drive, than a dedicated competitive entry. I hope it performs though!

When will the benchmark times for the battle cars be posted as a referrence?

There's no real reference as each judge has a different level of skill and will judge each ride accordingly to their skills.

That being said, these are the times that I personally have set and will be basing my judging on if you really need a reference:

Lightweight - 1.29.0
Middleweight - 1.27.8
Heavyweight - 1.27.0
Supercar - 1.25.8

Just remember, my times WILL be different to the other judges so don't take it all as gospel and think that time will be enough to beat, the other judges might be quicker with the battle monsters than I am. ;)

*added bit* amartya, I have sent a PM to you regarding your TCv5 entry. In it's present state it's invalid, you're more than 10hp over. 👎

I see. I should have tested the times for the battle mosnters myself that way my dc5r wouldn't be so far off the Opera's time.

That's the point of the tuner cup this time, I didn't want any wimpy machines that get great rankings because they can handle a bit. You need to have your car perform aswell as handle this time.

Well, I thought "lap time vs battle monster" would obviously indicate that you would need some sort of performance to get points in that area. ;)

My Trueno is out. :guilty:

Can I just battle all 4 monsters with my middleweight NSX-R? It does 1'23 with my rusty driving.

Nah I'm kidding, back to the drawing board for lightweight.

Lol,

Yeah I'm also redesigning my elise, I changed to the 111R, and I'm taking the opera out for a spin now to get a good ghost. Totally forgot about that one..:P

Funny that no one noticed yet, does the opera have any downforce or do you have to give it the default 0/0?

Sorry I meant: does it matter how you set the downforce of the Opera s2000? This I ask because I can get a closer battle with my 100 kg lighter elise if the S2000 has some downforce.

I believe you're supposed to face the Opera with it's default settings for the actual judging. But I suppose for your own purposes tuning it is fine. 👍

Can a competitor enter car in each category or just 1 for the entire competition?

The Battle Monsters run default settings. You however can run whatever you want within the boundaries of the rules. ;)

Soprano, 1 per category. 4 cars all up maximum. 👍

Jonn, your S15 will be a mobile chicane, so will roj's car. :P

As for me, I'm going through the sorting process of my HEAVYWEIGHT contender. 460hp, 1400kg, and gives the R-Tune a spanking of about 1.5sec lap. :)

For lightweight, I'm trying to do something different because my middleweight car will be the car of the whole entire championship. 👍

My supercar entry is ready. ;)

Anyone remember the TCv4 N3 division winner? :P

Im thinking about entering this though i'm new to tuning. I've been playing with the Lancia Stratos as a lightweight entry but i doubt it'll score high being a pretty wild car (tho it's quick, i've thumped my S2000 time). We'll see;)

I remember it. ;) I was thinking of doing it's bigger brothers but didn't want an easy challenge. :P

Actually, you just reminded me of something with them, I'm going to compare one of them against my current HEAVYWEIGHT contender. If it's better then I might swap to that car. ;)

World's first: Mobile chicane beats whatever Mafs has. :P

Not this time my friend.....not this time. :mischievous:

I somehow doubt your ability to find something quicker than our NSX/RX-7 dueling duo :P

Especially considering how much I've improved my car :mischievous:

You were dealing with a Supra back then RJ. This time, the playing field's been evened out and you aren't dealing with 1300kg of Phase 1 Fatboy, you're dealing with a sub-1100kg supercar killer that on paper will be more than a match for both your cars.👍

I'll let the actions speak more than my words this time. :sly:
