Might try the RWD MR2, any RWD from the unusual suspects, IE, Mitsu, Toyota, Honda, Subaru. Though I doubt there would be any RWD. Might go with some classic muscle or maybe some Luxury Euro. If all else fails, BMW M3, GT500, Camaro or the 280 from Nismo.

Gosh, I love that game (presuming you meant ProStreet). If they seriously made that game year after year, only upgrading graphics, customization, car list and track list, I wouldn't care. The only thing about the 270 is that I don't think you can change the body color. too bad the 300 is 4wd, huh? Maybe look at the r33 lm prototype. It has horrific turbo lag, but I think you could manage. The only thing is the price. 500,000 I believe.
EDIT: Car's name is GT-R LM Road Going Version '95. Its a Nismo.
2nd EDIT: This blasted thing has racing downforce and it's color is unchangeable. Bummer.

So I picked my GT500 with rims that Muffin will just ADORE. I can get more angle with it, but my entry and line are somewhat sloppy because I got a new controller setup based off of NFS: PS. Stay tuned.
