LaidbackMaybachCould you do a BMW CSL '03 drifting setup - I don't see this anywhere ?
Sorry for double post.
Try my normal M3 tune on it. They are the same car so it should work the exact same. Just your car will have more power.

I've had a crack with you 86GT tune and 14000 was as high as I was getting so I played around a little as I found the gearing a little too short for my likings and it really didn't want to drift in 6th. I added more camber to try get it spinning more then gave a little more top speed to your transmission and I'm now up to 15500.
Give this tune a try and let me know what you think. Everything is the same as yours except what's below:
(trans is identical to yours but once I set it to your setting I added 2 clicks to the top speed to add 20kph extra)

killer tillerYeah I realize it changes the gear ratio but I was looking for a slightly longer 6th gear for the left hand sweeper. I was hoping with the extra rear camber the rear would spin up a little easier in higher gears.
Seems to work for me but buggered if I know where to make up the extra 5000 points lol
shmogtYou should of raised the final gear. That would of stretched all the gears for more top speed without messing them up. Either way tho I'll see how it goes.
Ya the amount of points some people get are insane. I have no idea how they get so high. The other drift seasonal my friend literally gave me his speed 12 and tune and yet I am like in top 400 with it while he is in top 20. So it's just about knowing the course perfectly.
I should have but 2 clicks on the top speed was easier lol. Bare in mind I really had no idea what I was doing, the theory was more camber = less friction = more wheel spin from under powered car lol.
I watched the replay of the top drifter and my lines weren't too different yet didn't score as high. I also noticed he was drifting between 3-4th gears no higher where as I'm trying in 5-6

TUNER COMMENTS:
Ok this car is solely for the purpose of the new drift seasonal. I won pretty easy. I originally didn't have the engine mods or weight reduction, but I had to put them on to see what the car could really do. The answer is pretty much the same scores lol. It is a lot easier to get higher scores when the car is maxed out tho. If you want you could use it for normal drifting as it does drift it's just a little strange to me. Hopefully you all beat it.
XDesperado67I'm the newbie at drifting but watching where and how I got/get points it seems to be a combination of the line on the course and your speed with a higher speed giving more points. By speed I mean the cars forward motion not the gear your in and how much wheelspin your generating.
Still find things about it frustrating, like there was one sector on the Eiger drift for the last set of trials that you could generate good points by basically just following a tight racing line and not hanging the tail out at all but if you were a bit wide you could round the corner nearly sideways and not get any points at all.

LaidbackMaybachI tried that out and the cars works excellent for me to drift in.
I'm gonna check out some of the other tunes later on for sure!
Excellent. I'm sure you will find the rest of the tunes just as enjoyable.
shmogtIt is very stable, but that's easy to fix. Did you try it in the seasonal and if so how do you find it?
lol nice at least the car has potentialI'm sure I will!
Just found the VW New Beetle RSi '00. - will there be a tune in the future for this car or is there already one?
Edit: I tried the BMW M3 tune on this - with a few changes tho. Let me just say i'm sure theres a better tune, but I can drift it a lil' bit
ya I am going to try the settings the other guy listed and see if it makes it better or notVery good, after ages hooning around at the 'ring it finally made sense.
Can you make a drift setting for Audi RS 4 '01

shmogtOk I tested this out. I found it to be more or less the same. However a little bit easier to drift around. I will change the settings of mine since I did improve score with less practice.
I ended up going back to your trans setting and moving the final gear to give me 200kph and it became a little easier again but still not getting higher than 15500. I'll call it a day at that I think lol
Edit: ok so had another crack, I removed the spoiler (no idea if it made a difference lol) and just kept trying. It's getting frustrating so I tried to see how fast I can get through the course and started attacking it lol. It seemed to work too as I'm now up to 16651 which gives me 281st place. Now I'm really annoyed as I'm only 130 odd points off reaching the ladder :banghead

djulian55Nice this made it alot easier for me
Sweet, I'll start my own tuning garage..... If only I knew what I was doing lol.
Now I'm not asking for you to tune it (feel free to, of you'd like ), but do you think a 300c would be a good drifter? And if so, where do I start?
shmogtI have this car in a pearl white and I love driving it because I always looks like a boss. Pearl white and chrome everything else makes it look awesome. I tried so hard to make it into a race car, but it just has too much torque I can't get it perfect yet. I was thinking about making it into drift as I am sure it will be easy considering that's all it does with a race tune on it lol. I don't know where to start on it really without trying it myself for drift. I would say lower it and stiffen the suspension and dampers etc to the point where they are pretty high. Most heavier cars drift better with stiffer suspension because when they turn the weight needs to slide instead of be absorbed by the springs.
