What we expected... The dissapointment in this forum (and also in many others) is getting overhand... It seems like Sony can ignore all that and really don´t give a F... about us GT fans...

Seems like Little Big Planet 2 is more important now... We got an 2010 release date confirmed and a lot of infos about the game 👍

I really think it´s more PD´s fault and not Sonys... How was that possible that we get God of War III and now LBP2 before GT5?? For sure GT5 has ten times more content but at some point they must stop it... I would be also satisfied with 400 cars and 20 tracks...

What if, If GT5 get canceled for some ridiculous reason and they will never make a GT game anymore. What will happen to this website?:odd::confused:

Yeah, I would like to get whatever GT5 gives by paying $120 right now. Then, next year, pay $120 again for a better GT6. Afterwards, pay $120 every two years or maybe one year like Fifa or PES fans paying every year. This is the way to do business, Sony. Repetition is the key - what's if GT fans get tired of the so-called perfect GT5 after 2 years? GT6 will be very hard to have a step forward after this legendary GT5. Sony, you have to wait for the next 5 years for a GT6 and gain money again? Put your money where your mouth is.

Sony, customer is the boss - customer dissatisfaction hurts brand loyalty. Do you want to take that risks? Put your money where your mouth is.

They can release the interview when they want...
And they actually have 150+ people hard working on it to be sure they will put everything they wanted to in it...

When you look at it.. these key sentences made by KY are actually masterpieces of communication art ! because its all the time enough to put back the game ontop of the news...
My respect to KY for his well hidden sense of marketing & communication !!! (hehe)

@alfredchiwai : brand loyalty is over nowadays. Customers goe where they can get the best at the cheapest. There are maybe few loyal guys in this world but it might be 1% of the market. But in terms of video games loyalty is really subjective, if you like Gran Turismo series but GT5 turns out to be a piece of s**t you will turn back and search for something better. Look at this forum, people here are "fans" but not all are blind loyal. Most of people are complaining that they want this or that in the game or else they wont be happy. These guys are just basic customers who ask for what they want (which is understandible and right). I'm more like few others knowing that whatever is inside GT5 I'll buy it and enjoy it. Damages/no damages, Weather/no weather... I cant care less, I saw with GT5p and the TT demo that I'll more then enjoy the game driving experience, the rest... just some bonus which if are not released now, will be later...

So I guess by now it's safe to say that Andrew House will NEVER answer our question.I really appreciate the effort guys, but this is too much. This is the biggest slap in the face that I've ever seen towards a fan base. utter callousness.

I have to admit that, nowadays, brand loyalty is not as important as in the past. The thing I am going to point out is not about the 1% of the market mentioned by you is underestimated, but about the subtle feelings deep inside our subconscious, which would adversely affect the brand loyalty in the future. I may be too abstract or impractical. But, let's say, we would buy other brands' products rather than SOONY's products because of the sadness, disappointment or even hatred towards SOONY. As members of management in a big firm, we have to focus on this year's sales as well as the sales of many years following. At least, SOONY should not shut their eyes to these. SOONY, we are the boss - past, present, future.

I think the use of SOONY has been overdone now, just like people don't really seem to write M$ or Micro$oft any more...gets old and boring rather quickly.

Anyway, I take it that because you are on these forums and the presence of your PSN handle, you have a PS3, and are at leat moderately interesting Gran Turismo. Chances are, regardless of however you feel, you will buy the game anyway, so what have senior management got to worry about? OK, they missed Fiscal Year 2009, but they will not miss Fiscal Year 2010, and sales will be HUGE no matter what the actual date.

+1

Sourgrapes are over. Let the wine now flow! :)

Edit: Unless E3 takes a dump. Sony pimps 'Move' and kids games, Kaz is stuck in France because of a volcano, and GT5 gets lost in the shuffle. Then some serious beeching will begin (again)....

I like to see the upsides of this sort of stuff.
I think I have found one.
They said that we will get answers soon. Maybe they don't want to announce it because they have saved the answers for e3 and don't want to tell us any info now so he doesn't get a rollocking for blowing the biggest secret of e3.

Sorry for my disturbance. I agree with you, dude. The future earnings, who cares? At the same time, I guess that a good management, if SONY is, should not just focus on earning their bonuses, just like the bankers in US.

Well, businesses benefit from two things - money in the bank and future potential. The longer it takes to get GT5 out, the longer they are going without money in the bank, but they know how well this game is going to do when it finally does hit the shelves, so that kinda' balances the equation somewhat.

Same, I'm pretty sure they pushed it back on purpose, so they can say "wait for the E³ in 2 weeks" to almost everything.

Could be this tuesday? Or Tuesday the 1st of june?
Don't think they will actually give the release date,
but I hope they say in stead of soon:
,,You will get the release date at E3"..
so we would actually have that confirmed for 100%

i m pretty sure we wont say release date of GT5..He will say all questions will be answered at e3. He doesnt know anything about GT like us.Too late for answers,

It's obviously this Tuesday because his comment was posted on the PS forum on the 20th of May so he was definitely referring to Tuesday 25th.

I hope it's a good interview.

I've had discussions about this with many a folk, next tuesday usually means 2nd tuedsay from the day the comment was made. If he said this tuesday or this coming tuesday, that would mean the 25th. Then again, this is assuming he sees i the same way others have explained to me. To me next tuesday means this coming tuesday.

Ugh, he said next Tuesday last week. So unless he is from another planet, that means the 25th or in other words the next Tuesday.

👍 It's amazing that some of the simplest things turn out to be the most difficult to understand. With so much information we don't have about the game everything is left to speculation.

My brain hurts. :)

Ugh, he said next tuesday, last thursday, the 20th. I explained the possibilities.
When talking about tuesday on a thursday, why say "next tuesday" when "tuesday" alone will do?

I have had this problem many times when posting dates on forums. It could mean either.

If the guy who typed that saw these posts I bet he would be rolling on the floor laughing.
