At your stage, you have the option of buying a car from one of three classes:
A7 (Alfa Romeo Mito, Alfa Romeo Brera, Volkswagen Golf GTI)
A6 (Chevrolet Camaro, Nissan 370Z, Subaru Impreza, Audi TT [there's two], Audi S3)
B4 (Volkswagen Toureg, Hummer H3, Land Rover Discovery)

.

Thanks for the info!

Thank goodness for that.

Geez, there must be some cretins on the official forum, as several people replied that there were no perfects for driving missions.

Chances are they just don't see the whole concept of the delivery challenges and just go as fast as possible.

Thus far the only one I've found hard to perfect are the "hitchhiking" missions(can't remember what they are called exactly but are basically the same as the car delivery's only with a person) as the meter will fall for no particular reason. That's not a big deal though as you either get all the cash or nothing.

I. 🤬. Love. This. Game.

It's better than the first in some (majority) areas, and falls short in others. Altogether it excels where the first one fell short and should only get better with time.

Hardcore is retarded with a pad. That is all.

Question: Can you use the casino offline?

After a few days without the servers, I can tell you that you CAN access the casino offline, but you can only buy drinks, clothes and do the Audi R8 Time Trial. All the games are online only.

Also, be wary of the rigged roulette tables. I was at one today that rolled two 00 in a row. Yeah, freakin' right.

Also, I never have won at Roulette. Even when I get the correct thing, it never lets me win.

With a wheel too. :sly:
It's not very realistic either. Once that was clear, I did not feel disturbed to put it on 'Sport' at all. 👍 I wish some of the assists could be turned on/off seperately though. And the brakes are way too sensitive.

Small issues for me though, really like the game so far. 👍

Agree. And the feeling is pretty good with a wheel/pedals and hardcore-mode. :)

Did a 4am stint yesterday, got the C4 races done and the A6 races finished, got to go back and do the A7 series and start the B4 series as well. Got quite a few cars now, favourites are the Dino, Subaru and the Caterham (beasty) also unlocked the second island!

Need to start exploreing though as I've done very little of that. Best race so far has to be "the great decent" A6 race with the Subaru....at dawn in the rain! Servers have been ok so far, 8 players with clear coms, it has droped out a couple of times but just for short periods.....this is on the PS3 by the way. Physics are fine, just requires a light touch is all and the right entry speed for corners.

You can use the XNB screen grab to get your photos onto the PS3 so I'll go do a few pics and start a photo thread up, please bang some pics up of your favourite cars in "unusual places"

Not sure if they have fixed the online today but yesterday i experienced these issues.

1. Can send friend request but player doesnt recieve it, same the other way around, it was fixed about 2am suddenly it worked, could also not see him on the map at this point but he could see me.

2. Can see friend on map but not in the game, only fix we worked out was to go to the very bottom of the island, both meet up there and then drive off, rest of the island my friend was invisible to me

3. I could not invite my friend to my house, i got the little love heart with 20 points every time i invited, but it said on his side that "session is full", though i was able to join his house.

Put aside all of the issues i have with the games ridiculous physics and low res sounds, it's a cool game and i enjoyed it, but the ammount of bugs just drive me crazy, i honestly wish they had just pushed back the release to get it all working.

Casino Guide on how to win/buy things:

- Several items in the clothes shop can be purchased from the start.

- There is a an exclusive outfit that can be one in the Fashion slots or by Winning the Level 1 Poker Tourney.

- There is an exclusive Casino furniture set that can be won in the second Poker Tourney Level

- An exclusive Sticker set can be won at Poker Level 3

- The Spyker C8 Aileron Spyder can be won in Poker level 4 along with 1,000,000 casino credits ($2,000,000 Island cash) or it can be bought at Level 3 for 500,000 credits.

- The Audi R8 Spyder can be won by playing the "Test Drive" Slots or it can be purchased for 1,000,000 casino credits...presumably from the start.

Just brought my first home. :D

Immediately swapped out the furny and now I've only got 28k left.

Hated it when I first loaded it thanks to that awful woman, annoying guy calling you to hurry up and the stupid license tests, but one I did all that and just drove around the island, it all clicked in place.

I turned the steering assistance in the wheel settings all the way to the right and the car seems to handle quite a bit better (I'm using a pad and the Lancia.)

I really hope we get a patch to export pictures for 360 as some of the ones I've taken would look lovely hosted via flickr. I've had to take some of the screen using my camera.

A few favourites.

Sweet photos, but I will crush thee once I've started taking some. :P

In all seriousness however, anyone know where the German tuner is?

I don't know if you've tried it yet, but the photomode is very much a case of the camera's axis is tied the position of the car, so there's no free roam, which would help the photos a great deal. Forza it aint!

I've taken three of the SRT-10 so far, the one you use during the delivery mission. Turned out quite alright, but you're right, Forza it ain't.

So...apparently, the "Buy car" option on the Casino cars is complete BS. I can't buy the Spyker at all. It keeps coming up and saying "Only players who have reached level 3 in the Casino can buy this car." And I'm like, "But, I'm level 5 in the Casino and I won entrance into the level three poker tourney, so I'm level three so, GIVE ME THE CAR!"

So, I don't know.

T12 - Give me a review.

Hm. I'll keep it short and simple; it's essentially an upgraded version of the original. Remember how Jeremy insinuated, well he outright said that if you considered the DBS a DB9S or a DB9 Evo it all makes sense? Yeah, think of TDU2 the exact same way. Everything is a little bit better but it takes looking past all the shortcomings for you to realize just how much of a game TDU2 actually is. And to be honest, as far as shortcomings go, I only know of one: the physics. At times it's better than the original, other times it doesn't know if it wants to be an Arcade, Simcade, or a Simulator; it's confused at times. None of that matters with all of the things you have at your disposal. You can drive for hours and just explore the entire island. You can customize your character, your car, you can apply liveries (it's a bit simplistic when you look at it, but there's some hidden creativity there and it's actually quite genius what they've done with it). If I had to rate it, I'd give it a 9.3 out of 10.

That's how fun it is to me. So much customization you won't know what to do with yourself half the damn time.

With that said, I absolutely hate the Impreza. It oversteers, understeers, and then power understeers (that's right, power understeers) when you try and take a corner. It's erratic and I hate it. Am I going to sell it? No, it's mad. And I like mad. It's fun to drive for some reason I can't really put my finger on.

This game is so epic. I have settled straight back in and having played hundreds and hundreds of hours on TDU 1 I am right back at home on the beautiful roads of Hawaii. This time around I have my G27 though, boy is driving with H shifter over all the curves and hills fun or what.

I actually don't mind the scooby, it is a beast off road when you decide to take that route and handles well on road imo.

At the moment I am racing the italia in A2 and that has to be one of the best deals for a car on this game. It excels everywhere, full stop. The Atom is fun but is nowhere near good enough to win A1 :(

I'm at just over 800,000 now, saving for the Koenigsegg. I'm going to do the final Ibiza cup race today too, then finish off the A5 high championship. Apart from the unusual handling, I like it so far.

You're all so far ahead of me! :grumpy:

I'm still exploring, and only doing races when I want to purchase stuff.

Yeah. It drives like a RWD car for some reason.

I'm on the A1 Championship. Most of the drivers there are pretty easy to beat except Stuart as he's in a Veyron. However, he still sucks at corners.
