You're comparing all comments since March on one game, and comments in 18 hours on just the review of another (which is also an annual release).

Have a look at the entire F1 2020 sub-forum (all but one short thread posted since April 15) for a better comparison... if comment counts are what you gauge interest by.

Sorry, I stand corrected.
I thought both threads were newly just created thread.

I hadn't noticed the TDU3 thread was older.

The blur of the moment kinda thing.

Edit:. Before I read any comments, I was thinking of Corsica being the new island as the video was rolling....

To me, TDU is way better than TDU2. I don't know how to explain this but...

In TDU things are pretty simple. It's pure fun, pure arcade racing. TDU2 with the whole party-tournament story really didn't cut for me.
And i also think that the gameplay in TDU is better than TDU2.

What i really love about TDU is the presentation. Like i said, i really don't know how, but i love pretty much everything in that game. The cars, the houses, the map, even the menu sound effects!

There's something especial about cruising in your favorite car in a big, beautiful island hearing "at the next intersection, turn left. T U R N L E F T !"

All the challanges, the clubs, the car wash... Ah, good ol' memories.

I have absolutely no idea what this new Test Drive is supposed to be, but i'm just happy to see the series being revived, either in this or next generation.

This game seems interesting, need more information and some gameplay examples to get excited.

Having played both the WRC series and V-Rally 4, I like the handling model in WRC.

I was keen on getting VR4 but never could get the cars dialed in enough to play it consistently. It’ll be watching how they implement controls in this new game.

Everything i wanted to hear... TDU is back, no other game have this feeling, buying houses and customize them, customize you avatar, own multiple houses, yatchs, dealerships, Blinkers, open windows and roof, etc.... we cant compare horizon, nfs, the crew or any other game with tdu, tdu is the king.

Fantastic news. TDU1 was, and still is, my favourite video game ever made. I hope this is more of a sequel to TDU1 rather than TDU2, never really enjoyed TDU2, felt like they tried to cram too much into that game and none of it was done particularly well.

This game is 18+??

Lol
To me, it's Kylotonn's mistake putting Pegi's age 18 rating since Nacon's digital event shows up several 18+ games.

The games actual trailer shows 18+ though...hmm. This is extremely worrying because their track record of utterly terrible games stands out, not the devs, the publishers. 18+ could mean gambling, return of the casino, micro-transactions and loot boxes god forbid. I really hope not.

Sounding like a bit of pipe dream but i hope we get city cars and normal cars in the car list, I don't want it to just be an "exotic fest", the whole social status thing worries me because it sounds like a silly MMO gimmick based on clans, clubs, "Instagram clone", followers social media feed rubbish that's plagued enough racing games as it is already!

Please don't suck...PLEASE!

Well, based on the position they are hiring for, I think it's too late to wish for no micro-transactions. There's a chance that the position is unrelated to TDU3, but I think it's far more likely that it is.

"As an Economic Game Designer, your mission will be to: Adjust the balance of the game economy Set up game mechanics to increase the player's engagement and monitor their implementation in the game Adapt the economy of the game according to analytics Integrated in the development team of a massively multiplayer racing game, you will work in close collaboration with the entire design team in order to perfectly integrate the design of the economy within the gaming experience. Your position will be central to the studio's most ambitious project. You will collaborate with UI teams and gameplay programmers to ensure a perfect exposure of the mechanics around the rewards and the buying opportunities of the players. Finally, you will be responsible for defining and implementing economic performance analysis processes and managing the balance between priced virtual goods and free content."

If I were to guess, I would say they are trying to apply a Fornite-esque economic model to a racing game - and leveraging the role playing-extravagant lifestyle to really cash in.

The buy-2-play model with silly cosmetics is workable. Guild Wars 2 and The Crew 2 are good examples. It's not hard to get all you need (and more) out of GW2 or TC2 without spending an extra penny, IMHO, and those who are inclined or eager to purchase more can finance the servers and even free content. It's only when you must have the best of the best, or the most exclusive of exclusive stuff, that the grind sets in without paying up.

"Whales" are still an unfortunate fact, but B2P is much better than a subscription fee (on top of XBLG/PS+), microtransactions in singleplayer-oriented games, or the typical F2P, in my opinion.

This is rather speculative at this point, though. :) Well, about everything is.

You're really putting words in my mouth. I own and played TDU1. I'm not expecting any diversity or quantity that didn't exist in TDU1, particularly from a smaller developer like Kylotonn.

Having played TDU, I deliberately chose the word "adopt" to mean that Kylotonn was adopting that theme from the first two TDU games. That was the point.
I don't see how this changes anything I said. Your post comes across as surprised that they're doing something that the series has always done.

Not sure what linking the car list does for me. I'm well aware of what it's in the game considering it earned me a listed credit in TDU1's manual & know the majority bulk of the game is centered around sports cars of various levels.

Yeah, TDU1's 6-figure cars such as the Lexus IS 350, VW Golf, Ford Mustang GT, and the Saturn Sky.

I think, just like the other two, there should be enough mix of lower class cars and classics, up to modern day hypercars to keep everyone happy.
I think you missed the part where I said the main attraction of the game is racing 6-figure cars.

The only thing that surprised me is the harsh blowback to what I said.

I didn't know that about you. :) A link benefits other readers and supports my defense as much as it could be for the purpose of informing you. I didn't really expect it to be necessary for you specifically.

18+ maybe there will be some kind of nudity.
I imagine the game to have some Gumball spirit in it . driving high end cars during the day and parties with hot chicks at night....

In my interpretation, it sounded like you were saying TDU3 catering to the "luxury lifestyle" was a new idea to the series when you used the word "adopt". I looked up the definition as I had doubt about its use, but you indeed used it correctly. Whenever I had heard the word used in relation to media, it was in context of that media bringing in something new to it.

Ah. You had shared it in a reply to me, so naturally, I figured it was supposed to show me something.

Clearly this is confusion on my part, to which I apologize.
