Yeah, I'm waiting for an explanation too on this. There's no way you can be AS FAST as stidriver at T1 and then lose over 2 seconds in T2 to be slower than my times.

We're all ears mazdaman.....just don't fill our ears with a whole heap of BS!

Guy i apologize this was'nt the time i meant to post, also to answer your question i have two different tunes for the Austin martin one with nos and one with out. It has the same settings as E.C.T i just chose to run it with nos to see something. Also, the reason for the T'2 is so slow is because i spun out but i really do apologize for the mix up.

Allow me to be somewhat skeptical upon hearing this. Please don't be changing the car's settings or others will be extremely concerned of what else may be stuck onto them.. Why were you toying with NOS anyway?

Meanwhile, had a near-perfect flying lap which yielded exactly the returns I was looking for.

T1: '51.682 (-.614)
T2: 1'33.356 (-.728)
S/F: (-1.024)

Cheers

How can you "not mean" to post a time? Nitrous really wouldn't be useful in the first sector, so I'm still skeptical that you set a T1 time as fast as that, and if you actually spun out between T1 and T2, then your T2 time would be quite a bit slower than the one you posted unless you emptied the entire nitrous tank there. So I'm dubious that nitrous was the reason for your splits; if you actually got those times, then I'm pretty sure that they are because you had R2 or R3 tires equipped.

So what was the time you were meant to post?? The only time you'd post is that it's 4.15PM or something like that.....seriously dude, cut the BS.

Jetboy, great splits mate, I think you'll have the edge on me in this one.

Yes, i had those tires equiped but also i really did play around with the car to mess up in T2.Also my splits were T1:53.420 T2:1'35.400

I have yet alot to shave off but also the car needs a little of suspension tweaking but rules are i can't.

Look, this is a warning. Don't screw with the car. Don't deceive us. Those are ground for being ejected from what's supposed to be a friendly competition between friends.

mafs: Pure luck man, I was scared the whole lap I'd stuff it up, but hung true where I needed it most. :D

I had the feeling Jetboy's final time would've been close to mine, so I improved a little bit. :D

T1: 51.358
T2: 1'32.978

And about 4 tenths better at the line. Still looking for another 3 tenths, but that's probably pushing it

From an observer's POV, this is still a fascinating series. I love the fight at the top of the leaderboard b/w Austin/SH/Lucas and then stidriver turning up to humble almost everyone. Love the friendly rivalry b/w mafs and Jetboy. I'm shocked to see MFT's tunes not flogging the rest of the field as they have been undoubtedly the benchmark tuners for the 3+ years I've been at gtp. And I'm seriously impressed by Lucas's performance, considering he's a (relative) newbie to the site and community. Also fantastic to see RJ's M5 kicking arse, considering they've had a rather low output over the last few months.

I only wish I had the time and skills to participate. I also would encourage all entrants who can upload videos of the lap to do so; I find it terribly entertaining and the other entrants will surely find it useful. Well done to all involved (or almost all).

I've submitted with the splits mentioned earlier... I didn't get the time I wanted, but it's hopefully in the top 5 :D

Nice to see you drop in PF. I was actually going to make a video for this week's lap, but I might not have the time. Or the motivation

Thanks, man. 👍 I really appreciate that. :) Too bad I'm a lazy person, so I can't be bothered to compete anymore. Besides, I drove for around 1200km for round one, and that explains the time I got there. I have no patience to run another 1200km in each circuit just to be in stidriver's level. I have started another hobby in GT4, as you can see from my signature. :D

One hell of a car, to be honest. The base M5 is a wonderful car to begin with. RJ just expanded on what was there. 👍

I put that down to the drivers... seeing that our cars have had an alien behind the wheel in exactly one race out of eight (RVV and JHoS both have records of 8/8) and even then he decided to use the one that is known to be two seconds a lap slower than the other we're doing pretty well. Give these cars to someone who really can drive and they'll be in the top three for sure, even I can take places from third to fifth behind (or among) the alien herd and I'm almost two seconds a lap slower than those guys when pure driving skill is considered. And although I'm a good tuner I have no hope of making a car two seconds faster than anyone else with a similar PWR just to level the ravine behind the MFT drivers and the green guys.

Results are up, points are tabulated. Congrats once again to sti with a mind-blowing performance.

Corey

Yeah I couldn't post my result in time thanks to a family situation at home that I couldn't avoid and I'll give you the details.

Time was done before deadline but yeah, when a certain dumbass tells you to get out of the house yesterday and you start obliging by removing and packing 3/4 of the things (including the PS2!) then decides themselves to move out aswell leaving my dad-in-law (who has a heart condition) here by himself.....what a 🤬 DOG. Even with this person making death threats at me I've still got the best of them because I will still be here and they will have moved out and my friends heard the threats and I have it in writing too. And on top of that, just 30 minutes ago (it's now 5.15am here) this person is banging around, woke us up and we discovered this person was stealing my son's baby bunny rugs from birth (parents will know this is a priceless keepsake!!)

*5 minutes later* Good, now the person has left......sorry JB, but yeah since this has happened and caused me to miss deadline I might be out of this too after all cause one missed round is always bad to try and catch-up with. :(

Sorry to hear of your plight man, and I hope you stay, the rivalry has been good fun. 👍 Just for giggles, what was your final?

Edit: sti, that lap was it. :D Good show, chap.

Oh you destroyed me JB don't worry about that. :)

It was a 1.57.299 for final lap time.....I'm replugging stuff in this morning and fixing it all back up so I can do a double upload for YouTube. 👍

Wow, third! It was lucky I managed to nudge past Greycap in the last sector... I guess I know whose splits I'm aiming for now :D. Also sorry to hear about mafs and his complications... I'm going to add you on youtube as soon as you get the videos up, by the way.

Stidriver, we took the same lines! Another flawless lap 👍

I noticed Lucas is completely missing from the "Individual Standings" list...
He's currently tied for fourth place with mcsqueegy, but says he's going to bail anyway. I'm keeping his place warm if he ever decides to return.

Cheers,
Corey

Here's my lap. I lost a little time in the first corner complex, a little more in Degner, a little more in the hairpin (I've never seen "in-out-out" given as a basic formula for a driving line in a textbook!), a little more - are you seeing a pattern here? - in Spoon, and a little more in Casio. Somehow, though, I didn't lose that much time in any of those spots, and I was never able to put more than a couple of perfect corners together in one lap. It was very easy to be consistent - I almost never lost any time in the esses - but hard to make that final push to flawless driving.

stidriver, your lap was nice, but it looks like you were quite concerned about ruining the lap in the final sector, as you took 130R very slowly and braked quite early for Casio. I know the feeling, though; fortunately, I didn't suffer from it this week.

The M5 on R130 was flying away on me hitting the inside rumble strip to fast. One lap it would hold and the next off into the weeds. Casio :banghead:is a place that can and well kill a good lap at Suzuka. So a little safe is not a bad thing.

Cool macca, I'll get the vids up tomorrow more than likely, since it's Australia Day, getting blotto is the higher priority today!!

Also, I must give a big THANKYOU for representing GME so well during the TGC so far. :D If it wasn't for you, the GME cars wouldn't look so good against the might of MFT, because my driving lately has not been up to par!! :yuck: To have the GME car beating the MFT car two of the past three weeks has shown that my tuning skills haven't gone away, even if my driving skills have!! :mischievous:

Holy schnikeys! Is that correct? MCG is 3rd in garage standings? If so, wow.
