Is there anything that might be wrong in your setup? Are you able to hook the shifter up to diagnostics to make sure it's working in sequential?

As of right now the sequential function is not compatible on PS3 only PC...

gslooney... the TH8 can be used as a manual gearbox or sequential lever to change gears through Up/ Down motion +/-, a vast amout of race cars have this.

I actually can't believe there isn't more of an uproar about this..??

What Car in GT5 are you trying to use the TH8 as a sequential shifter on?

Doesn't it work at all (as sequential lever) or does it depend on the car in GT5?

I'll try it sometime today- I was told that it doesn't work in GT5 (the stick sequential on the TH8RS) so I've been using paddle shift for sequential shifting (Super GT and modern Dual Clutch cars).

Would be great to know, cheers.

My understanding is if you have the TH8RS plugged into the PS3 (USb) as well as your T500 Wheel.. then sequential mode shifting with the TH8RS is not currently supported.

However If it's connected to the fanatec Wheel (which is behaving like a G25!) then it works..

Hello. I have a question about the shifter...

Does anyone know of a way to assign a different hardware ID number to the shifter in Windows 7? I am really really really begging you guys to help me with this! Having the shifter being seen as controller ID #1 in Windows Game Control Panel, while my wheel is ID #2, is causing me all kinds of headaches, and is preventing me from enjoying several PC racing games. Please let me know. If I could change the ID to say, #2 or #3, that would be wonderful.

Maybe I'm missing something (wouldn't be the first time), but for sequential shifting, wouldn't everyone prefer the paddles? I mean... isn't that how it's done in real life??

It is now but a couple years ago GT race cars with sequential shifting weren't allowed to use paddle-shifting. For example, look at the 2008 Super GT cars in GT5- they are all based on stick sequential.

However, all that has changed. I don't know if it's through all the classes but in Super GT, the GT500 cars have been using paddle shifting since 2010 (and a few teams even in 2009). I' not sure about about FIA GT classes but it's allowed in ALMS.

I see. Thanks for the info.

Couldnt resist this 278 in aud and got one from amazon lol 149
You guys are bad influence, just bought my frex shift + too

Hi isamu, not sure what you mean, I have number of devices connected to the pc.
and you just asign each one in game settings. i don't see the conflict using dev01 spot or dev00 spot

got my wheel as dev0 in iracing and button box as dev1, when I got this shifter i'll let you know as I will connect this via usB .

Most modern PC racing SIMS are indeed fine, as they acknowledge ALL your USB devices and do not care which order Windows places them in. Some racing games however, like OutRun 2006, Trackmania Canyon and games that are run in emulators such Daytona USA, do not make this distinction and will not "see" my wheel unless it's USB Device ID1. The Shifter prevents this because Windows always sees it as device ID1 and bumps my wheel and pedals to #2 & #3 respectively. That's the problem.

ah ic sorry don't know how to help in that department

Did one of you guys try this by now? :D

That is correct. The TH8RS will work in GT5 on the PS3 in sequential mode if you are using a Fanatec wheel with interfaceone's mod board.

You're going to love it. Get a custom knob, increase the resistance, and enjoy :)

Got my second TH8 mounted in sequential mode today.

After much thought I've decided to upgrade to this knob. Placed the order this morning. I also will start the build of the new improved cockpit this weekend a couple of things still to figure out. Been planning long enough..........Time for action lol

Yup, I'm waiting to see if the large six foot toob will support 3 projectors with blending software. FOV is most important to me. While the tube is amazing for consoles, I will wait and see till I can verify I can get the fov I want. Might get one for my second rig at home if it does what I want.

For the record I have been in contact with TOOB over two years following their progress. VisionRacer is heavily into the tube, designing most of their mounts I believe. Same chrome tubular look.

Well it's finally wore out.....The tension screw head. After having to tighten the screw EVERY time I use the shifter the head has wore out. I'd say partly because the hole to access the screw is too small for the proper size screw driver and the fact that the screw head is out of sight, you can't actually see exactly what's going on.......Plus the material it's made from couldn't be that high quality. And I was only able to know for certain by taking it apart . Although I was able to tighten it with some grips this is not a process I want to keep repeating. Don't know what to do next. Is the screw replaceable and would TM supply a replacement. Or does it mean sending the shifter back altogether...... :ouch:
