Sprayed mine down with a good lubricant we use at the shop when I got it. Have zero problems. Knock on wood. Wish the wheel and pedals were problem free like this shifter.
Anyone here that is using the shifter with the WSP stand?
I bought the deluxe version but it just seems that the shifter will be way to high :/

Bought it on sale on a webshop for 50$, great deal.
Can't wait to get it, will be a nice improvement over my G25 shifter.
I was thinking of getting the CSR wheel, will the th8 shifter work with the fanatec csr wheel on gt5 without an adaptor board?
Nice survey. If it's good I'll buy from you. If you can make it stiffer, slightly notchy (basically more tactile), that'll be great.Greetings, TH8RS owners. I'm a fellow sim racer and tinkerer who is looking to develop a short shift solution for the venerable Thrustmaster TH8RS. If you're like me, and thought "Sweet baby jesus, the throw on this thing is massive!" then you might be interested.
I've already done some research and have a couple prototypes in development as we speak, but I'm also very interested in what others would want in a product. I created a simple Google survey, and if you're interested in staying abreast of the process, sign up for the newsletter.
The survey is short; takes about 30 seconds. The mailing list is spam-free. Thanks so much for your feedback!

The finish looks better than the original. Sorry I'm anti chrome, not the browser, love the browser .Thanks for all the short shifter feedback so far. Here's a peek at my shorter lever prototypes compared to the original. Again, if this is something you're interested in, fill out the survey and/or sign up for mailing list.

I did enquire with an engineering shop here about making short shafts just like that before. It was too expensive. If you can get these made and if affordable, I'll get a couple from you.
If you are asking people for thread size at the top, well, my preference is M10 x 1.5 pitch. Same as Frex, same as most Hondas I think.
Yeah, the challenge will be getting the manufacturing cost down to something reasonable. That's why I'm trying to gauge the interest level. If, say, 100 people are interested I can probably get the price down to something very affordable.
Also, finding a "common" thread size seems like it will be pretty hard. We can definitely do better than the 9mm that's on there now, though.
Hey JogoAsobi, buy it anyway, we need to make it affordable....but had a shaft like one of the prototypes you posted been on the market, I would have snapped that up in a heartbeat to use with one my after-market Honda Si knobs I have laying around.

I'm not fussed about the finish either, function over form. Top thread doesn't matter much either cos most after market shift knobs have universal adapters, if not, I'm sure we can still make it fit, even if permanent (weld it )
I'd like short ones two normal ones and two longer ones. Let me know when available..
Thanks
After paying special attention to my car's shifter I started wondering if it might be better to have a longer shaft with a tiny gate. Especially since I hardly had to move my stick left and right in my car.
Never played with the TH8 calibration software though, so I don't know if this is possible.
Plus there is the issue with the shifter internals. You'll loose the feel of the shifter popping into 'gear'. At least this is the issue with the current design of the internals.
