I really wanted to see Alonso go to Red Bull.

Another chance to laugh at Ferrari, and it would have been cool to see Vettel squirm knowing that someone better than him is in the same car as him.

Not really what I was hoping for, but if that's how it is, then there is nothing I can do. Let them at least get rid of Alonso for him.

Alonso pretty much held Ferrari up on their feet for some 4 years now.

Amen.
Anyway, I just want to Ferrari to hurry up and announce Kimi whilst playing this:

 :D

Clearly, RB are scared of upsetting Blondie and will now and forever give Blondie stupidly poor drivers to make him look "good"; at least Daniel will get trophies now...

There's more than one way to look at that though. Of course RB wants to keep Vettel happy, but on the other hand having two drivers high in the points is better for the team than one.

I have mixed feelings about it myself. I would love to see Vettel squirm at the pressure of another top driver in the RB, but I would also hate to see RB have two top drivers. I'm no fan of dynasties.

Vettel and Alo are both used to being "no 1 drivers", I can't see one of them backing down for the other, therefore I just can't see them as team mates.

That's just sort of how I view things. To me, both Ferrari and Alonso have had too much controversy surrounding them for me to support either of them in the slightest.

No where near as bad as Red Bull the last couple of years though...

So basically it's quite clear Daniel is the RBR driver and Kimi now wants to go after Ferrari because he missed his shot? I feel like Lotus have a better group this year than Ferrari. Perhaps there is something to give Kimi confidence that Ferrari will be better next year and following, but I know some will say that Ferrari can't possibly give hope to Kimi for up coming years if he were to join now.

Hell yeah Ferrari have something going for them. They're great at building engines, and they now have James Allison working along with Rory Byrne..

Could be a really great start for them.

Oh don't get me wrong I totally agree with you but I don't see how Alonso is going to work with Kimi. I really don't think Kimi should leave Lotus but then again he probably should since they don't have Allison anymore.

Don't write off Riccardo as a competitor for Vettel. Yes currently Vettel is the better driver for sure but Riccardo is a talented driver just hasn't had the car to prove it. In a couple of year Riccardo will be at that or close to that level of elite drivers. The thing is he will always get the 2ed best car

Like what? You can't say Malaysia 2013 or Turkey 2010.

Engine-mapping, ride-height adjuster, blown diffusers, flexing front wings, taking the wing off of Webber at Silverstone, threat of breakaway series, customer cars, accused of breaking resource restriction agreement, the list goes on...

Loophole. First I've heard, but I've not heard of it being illegal. Legal at the time they used them. Legal because they passed the tests... and no, breaking the "spirit" of the rule counts for nothing as all wings flex... Webber didn't want them till after the fact. Ferrari has pulled this card too. Everyone has "customer" teams... though I agree that's an unfair advantage. Same accusations have been hurled elsewhere... and yes, the list goes on for Ferrari, too.

I don't really like Red Bull, all that much, but they're not any more dirty than the other big teams. Actually... even less so, for the most part... as they've always managed to skirt around the edges of the rules rather than breaking through them with a chainsaw as some teams have.

No one said anything about legality, the things listed were controversial because they were disputed publicly. Other teams accused them of breaching the regulations, they've been made to change parts on their car by the FIA, accused of braking the Concorde Agreement by using identical cars with Toro Rosso and accused of braking the resource restriction agreement by Max Mosely.

Not sure if theres anything in here we don't already know.

Kimi doesn't have any issues with Ferrari after 2009 but says it could have ended a bit nicer according to this.

Not a fan of the sensationalist headline on that article...I suppose journalists need to make $$$ somehow 👍

The next couple of weeks will definitely keep things entertaining off track. Wonder if it will affect the performances of all the drivers involved in the silly season?

Why not? I'm assuming you were referring to such tactics when talking about "Alonso & Ferrari". Other than Germany 2010 what else have they done that is controversial?

I was speaking about them separately. Ferrari with Austria 2002, Germany 2010, and Brazil 2012. Alonso with Hungary 2006 and 2007 (not the whole spygate thing), Italy 2006, and Singapore 2008. Also, to me, it seems like Alonso whines a lot when things don't go how he wants. Just to clarify this, all of this information was gotten through Wikipedia, so if I'm missing some details, that's why.

Hmm, I'm not sure what was controversial about Brazil last year? Yeah they pitted Massa out of the way, but it made sense at the time (as opposed to some of the examples).

As for Alonso, he hasn't really come across as very "whiny" for over 5 years now.

As I said, the last couple of years Red Bull have been by far the worst as far as controversy goes. Which tends to happen when you're the front-runners, Ferrari get by quietly in a lot of races these days.

Maybe he thought Massa could still win the championship.

Look who got his seat fitting, I wonder if they'll have him do FP1s for the rest of the year and then announce him as their driver at the end of the year.
