More like it pretty much says what most of us are thinking... Massa has to shape up or ship out, and Ferrari might be interested in Kimi, but they also might not.

I think Jenson might hang in for 2014, judging by speculations for Mercedes' V6.

Watching the Australian coverage and Webber's interview with James Allen. He not so subtly hinted that the person who got his seat was "good for him and good for Australia"

Vettel said Ricardo moving to RedBull would "make sense". He clearly doesn't want the Iceman, he know it will be tough.

Kimi options are staying in Lotus if they find the $, or going to Ferrari.
3rd option is McLaren. Massa compared to Alonso is a joke, Ferrari need at least to fight for the Constructors. Eventually they might help each other for the Drivers champ as well. No, they don't like it, Alonso and Kimi are booth "1st driver" on their head but the cool thing is Alonso helped Kimi a lot in 2007 managing to subdue a surprising wonderkid rookie Lewis Hamilton severals times at the end of that crazy season, resulting in an astonishing Driver's Champ for the Iceman.

Let me remember that.

Whenever I see Massa at Brazil, I only think of:

"White visor, I cannot see anything!"

"Felipe baby, stay cool!"

I don't even know why really since I just realized that was in 2009 in Malaysia

I feel David Hobbs the most. Nico Hulk is a good driver that needs a Sergio Perez opportunity with a Factory Team IMO. I would love to see Nico go to Ferrari, and for Sauber to pick up Kobi, and one of his pay drivers. And I'm wondering whats going to happen to Colleti & Nasr whom in my IMO again are the best and consistent out of the GP 2013 year. Im not sure if they where elected for the Driver Test at Silverstone or not for sure, but I for sure then see them.

Coletti? Consistent? Have you even watched GP2 this year?

Nasr has been relatively impressive but still lacking a bit of final polish, the whole "hasn't won a GP2 race" thing is still a bit of monkey on his back.

I've said this a lot before already but this has been a very unconvincing year for GP2. It says a lot that the guy leading the championship has scored points once in the last 8 races...not only does he look horribly inconsistent but the rest of his competition look inept too.
I do think Nasr is worth a shot..but even he looks like he is simply benefiting from a woeful lack of competition.

Neither were picked for the YDT and Colleti I don't agree with since he has been having horrid finishes since British rounds in GP2 this year.

Haven't kept up much since Nurburg, but Coleeti and Nasr were doing it well early on. Did know Coletti fell off. I wouldn't really trust anyone else. Everyone has had good races and bad ones. The most standout I guess is Nasr. Laimer was looking strong at 1st but couldn't close the deals!

This should be fun. Shame we're losing Mark still, but at least we get to see what Daniel can do in a proper seat.

What a surprise. :dopey: It's a shame we won't see Vettel up against a world class driver in the same car, but maybe Ricciardo will surprise us.

He could surprise some, but others will have made up their mind beforehand. If Ricciardo is close to Vettel, for them it will mean Vettel isn't as good as the top drivers, and if Vettel blows Ricciardo away for them it will mean Ricciardo is no good (and for Aussies it will mean Ricciardo isn't getting equal equipment/treatment). :indiff:

First of all, he's young. In the TR he showed enough promise and skill to place the car where it needed to be to satisfy RB. Like ALL drivers, well see how he goes next year. Good for him. Good for the sport.

Anyone who believes a (probable) 4xWDC isn't one of the top drivers is frankly a moron to begin with. If Ricciardo is close or beats Vettel, he will get due credit.

One of the rare times I agree with you, I'm not a Vettel fan but to win this many WDCs shows that a person needs talent and speed, people are just annoyed he is winning all the time and they don't like his antics that go along with it. If DR does win or even gives Vettel a tough time, he will deserve credit but it wont mean Vettel is horrid.

I thought Vettel was capable of being a great in 2008. The fact people had to be "convinced" with multiple WDCs is kind of tiresome.
The same went for Button before 2009. I believe the same of Hulkenburg currently.

As for Ricciardo, well now is his chance to prove something but its difficult to say from his 2 years at STR. He seems fast and consistent but hasn't really had a car capable of fighting for major points or podiums yet. He certainly deserves the chance.

We were all expecting this, but this now the begs the question of the fate of the vacant seat at Toro Rosso.

Could we possibly see two vacant seats with str going with a fresh driver duo???

I don't think so. They have a good benchmark in Vergne. Give him another season and see how he does.
