Not really, there was a press release or something that listed all the NASCAR drivers in the game. Of course it said that more would be available. Either way with 9 or 12 drivers, cars, you will have 16 player races with repeat cars whether you can help it or not. I think we have videos of just that, might've been a trailer. However, seeing as all the NASCAR vehicles are basically 4 or 5 different models with livery differences, I'm almost certain PD is working hard to get licenses for 20 or so teams.

Congratulations you found a picture of a bunch of Nascars. Polyphony Digital have the NASCAR reproduction license. This means that they have the right to copy any Nascar car if they so wish to. Nothing to do with individual teams. What we have there is a sample of the four biggest teams in Nascar. Hedricks, Rousch, Joe Gibbs and Penske.

huh?

It's now quite clear (if it already wasn't before) that there will be more than 20 tracks, although so far we have seen only 19 unique playable ones (no coincidence there, I think). That would mean there would be only one left, not to mention all those variations (and I have already counted reverse versions of original circuits) to reach 70:

Only one karting track? Only one dirt/snow track? Hmmmm.... :sly:

Not exactly. Just like with GTPSP, the number isn't exactly 20, it's over twenty. I do agree with some of your thinking though, just refuse to think too much into it.

Ah, yes, this list makes sense, but we will definitely have tracks like Seoul and everything from GT4. So, yeah, there will be over 20 tracks.

Personally I'm pretty sure that all tracks from GT4 and GTPSP will be in GT5.
Maybe they will be "standard" tracks, who knows.
Anyway, with those, the list would grow to 47 different tracks / 70 variations (although you might disagree on what is a variation or not) without counting reverse versions:

What makes you certain that we will get everything from GT4?

The inclusion of standard cars is a hint in my opinion. No way PD are going to drop tracks (that still look quite good, proportionally better than standard cars), that might have took months to design and complete.

Good point but I felt that a few of the new GT4 tracks felt too random (city circuits especially) so I could imagine some of them being replaced or ditched.

I'm not sure if anybody else has said this, but now with the addition of 3 more tracks it basically proves that there will be a lot more than 20 tracks. We already know around 20 tracks, so it would be stupid if PD have announced every track in the game already.

Monza is another track from the temperature/weather display in Prologue, I really hope all the track from that are in GT5. Spa, Brands Hatch, Imola....... those would be awesome.

San Galgano is also in Tuscany aswell as Piazza del Campo.

+ Belgian High Fens, isn't that us right up to 20 officially mentioned now?

So either they have announced all the tracks, or we ain't getting Monaco etc until GT6.

There is quite a few tracks I would love to see in, but Spa, a beautiful track, I would think the PD team would like to tackle.
I can see another addition to the endurance races. Maybe this will be a surprise track at TGS. :)

I love it how people see one piece of circumstantial evidence, offer it as proof of existence, wholly convince themselves of said existence, and then pull random percentages out of the aether as if they were ever in a position to make such a comment.

gtracedriver Silverstone is KY's fave track, but unfortunately didn't say if the track is included.Personally i want the 60's vers. as it's the fastest Silverstone.Plus could be used in a classic race, maybe Touring Cars perhaps.
