If you've never been to a race before, it will change your life. You should definitely do it. :)
hairpin ....yeah, that's the Casino corner .....you see the cars coming at you at a crazy speed, then brake with like no distance, take the relatively slow corner and then accelerate like a bat out of hell ....brilliant

i know it will be awesome to go and see and Montreal's only about a 5 hour drive from T.O.

Rubens is a muppet. EVERYBODY is better than Rubens.
Except perhaps Gaston Mazzacane.
And Johnny Herbert.
 .....but isn't he going to win the championship this year?

does anyone have an example of what makes ITV and others coverage superior? If it is data and features, I wish we had more, but if it is just showy graphics or the occasional interruption for an interview or something that can wait, I'd rather be bored. But I'm talkin' about during a race
Martin Brundle and (is it James Allen? ...can't recall) who replaced the also great Murray Walker are amazing commentators ......they carefully examine and diesect the race in great depth ......Bob Varsha and the other boys at SC are all very knowledgable but are very boring and lack-lustre ....whereas Martin Brundle is an absolute diehard ......he knows everything and makes the race so much more suspensful and exciting .....the SC commentators are sometimes so slow to clue into the obvious .......i don't even think that they are at the races ......you wouldn't think that the commentary would matter but it definitely does and it is quite evident from being able to watch the two .....think about it ......the ITV commentators are much more specialized in F1 than SC who covers all kinds of motorsports .....i know i wouldn't have the same level of passion for the sport if all i had was SC

last year we were on the straightaway's bridge... pretty impressive to see them coming at 300kph!!! this year we'll probably be at the Start/Finish line. I had a pit pas a few years ago... met some drivers... i even got Senna's autograph!

how many people can say they've sat in an F1 car ......i sat in Coulthard's McLaren just a week or so ago at the Canadian International Auto Show .....tight fit for a 6'3" er ;)

Heh! I sat in Alesi's '90 Tyrrell (the first high nose GP car) - I'm an average size bloke, 5'10, medium build - and I have no idea how they drive those things. I could JUST move the pedals, and it was quite difficult to turn the wheel. How he could drive this thing at the thick end of 300kmh at Monaco is totally beyond me.

Well i sure am hoping, because JV wont with the sorry ass team hes with i really hope he gets into a real car next year hes throwing his career away; dont you think???

I totally agree with you...JV's worst decision was to leave Williams. I don't see him with BAR next year, and who knows, he might not be there the entire year this year, although its very unlikely he'll leave that soon.

I was spoiled in 97, thats for sure. :(
