Really? What happened?

Brighton informed the BBC (Poyet's phone was off, I believe) who told Poyet at the start of the first half. A significant portion of the half time "analysis" consisted of Chapman grilling a slightly disgruntled Poyet on his plans for the future/appealing/feelings.

Should be an option when you create the thread mate, but a moderator has to do it now I think.
No, if you hit Edit and go advanced on the OP, there should be an option for prefix.

today, a southamerican derby, Brasil vs Uruguay!

edit:mmm not, its tomorrow haha :(

Yep Brazil-Uruguay tomorrow and then Italy-Spain Thursday and I think the final is on Sunday with a 3rd/4th playoff match before...I cant wait, two great looking matches! 👍

Italy v Spain will be a rematch of the Euro final near enough exactly a year on. Should be interesting to see the result. And for the other one, I'm expecting a Brazil walkover considering they're on home soil and that.

One thing I've noticed, we started out with 8 teams from 6 confederations, now we have 4 teams from 2 confederations.

Uruguay, against Brasil is always a big rival, and Brasil have a little fear of Uruguay, the 'Maracanazo' is still.on their head.
Should be an interesting match.

Sideshow Bob making a clear penalty, and get's the yellow card.

Uruguay 0-0 Brazil still! Cesar saves the penalty kick!!!

Far from a good show by the home squad, Oscar and Hulk were very timid and Uruguay was pretty good defending and applying pressure...

Excited for Spain x Italy tomorrow, looks like Pirlo is gonna make it. Massive reinforcement for Italy.

Watching the game last night, I can't see how Brazil are going to win this if Spain get through tonight. Spain are still far the better team.

Didn't watch all of the match last night only the first half as the Apprentice was on (never miss the Apprentice!)

Anyway, do you guys think that all these transfer rumours have gone to Cavani's head, I know he had a great game last night but he has had a fairly quiet tournament...I don't think he even scored against Tahiti did he?

Nahh not really, his goal scoring record for Napoli speaks for itself. He's never been a prolific scorer for Uruguay, and particularly not in tournaments. There's not much else to it really.

Hmm ok it was just something it noticed

Back to tonight then, its going to be all Spain for me, Balotelli is out for the rest of the tournament and Pirlo is a doubt and if he doesn't play then I cant see anything else but a comfortable Spain win...

Good first half, Italy with the best chances, but Spain with 62% possession!

Penalties it is then, its been a good game! 👍

And its Spain! 7-6 on penalties and the some of the spot-kicks were brilliant!

Im off to bed now, goodnight everyone!

Good game to watch, end to end and pretty open!

Also not one penalty saved with both Buffon and Casillas in goal, who'd have thought it

Massively impressed by Navas though.

Wow! England should learn from that shootout. Fantastic penalties! I'm also impressed by Navas. He's got so much pace.

This guys are extremely good, what an amazing shootout, all of them but Bonucci kicked perfect penalties.

And Pirlo's face during his penalty!!! he is from another planet.

I wanted Italy to win, but at least we saw an incredible 3 hours of the best Football.

Even though I'm English, I'm a bit of a Spain glory supporter. So to that: Hala Espana (Forward Spain)

Great game tonight, if only Italy was a bit more precise at shooting...

I'm not holding my breath for the final, I know Spain is the clear favourite but I've gotta say: They're far frombeing unbeatable. :D

Just wondering... Is there going to be a 3rd place match???

Final game was more or less expected... I think Spain will take the Cup, and thus end their dynasty. I don't see Spain taking the World Title next year...
