Looks a bit depressing, its looks like he has his head down walking away with regret not the best way to start a new year. If he was walking tall to the horizon that would seem more fitting for the title no??

I think so, too.

He's just checking if his shoe laces are tied, he'll have his head back up in a sec.

Nobody wants to start the New Year with untied shoe laces, that would be a bad omen.

I think the photo would be far less interesting if he seemed upbeat. It is as if he is hesitant to leave yesterday behind and walk into a bright but unknown future.

You'll never get me walking on a frozen lake, I don't care how thick it is.

I was just walking around on one the other day. Hell, I've seen people drive cars out onto the lake here even. Ain't no thing.

We've been playing hockey on frozen lakes for years and years...don't be shy. :P

Cool picture, only done it a few times myself. Living in Vancouver it doesn't happen all that often. I actually skated my first time on a frozen pond up north. We played hockey on one fairly recently and I think that if we could get every non-hockey fan to play outdoor on a pond or lake they'd love it too.

Yea thats what i always think of when im at the edge of something^

But i love being on the edge of something really tall. Like a cliff or something.
