It's raining too hard to be Belgium, and Vettel was never behind Raikkonen at Monza, but I don't think he ever was at Japan last year either, so it's a bit of a mystery.

It could be one of the 2008 Japanese GP free practices, there were wet sessions during that GP weekend, right? I do know for sure that it's not 2007, judging by the aero on the STR car and the scoop on the Ferraris nose cone, Kimi also had a yellow camera in 2007

And from the same website, a compilation of cars driven by the late Gerry Marshall:

They're great pieces of art.

EDIT: And the various cars driven by Damon Hill over his career:

My dad's friend owns that pink nosed brabham, he's invited me to help him out when he goes testing :)

Why do you get to be so damn lucky? Next thing you know you'll be replacing Webber next year! :)

All of the pictures with compilations of cars are wonderful, as are the rest of the pictures in the thread! 👍 Keep them coming!

Soon after you won't have to care how much the event ticket costs.

Tbh, My dad's mate is rich, and I only know one driver, who's in the Le Mans Series and I'm going to go see him at at Catalunya, Le Mans and Silverstone next season, with free paddock access from him hopefully. 👍

I'm going to have to be an attention whore and post the picture i'm most proud of, the one I took from the plane on the way back from Iceland:

I've had this photo slagged off by an 'expert' but I think it's impressive, considering it was a impromptu 'point and shoot' moment.

should i dispatch a sniper to find that 'expert'?

Haha, that's the 5 inch gun off of one of the DDG destroyers from the US Navy..
I'm currently working on the USS Truxton (DDG-105), have worked on the USS Dewey (DDG-103), and love my job working in the Electronic Warfare end of building these ships. :D
Nice pic man.
I'm hoping to go to sea trials on the Truxton in March of 2009. I'll get to witness the 5 inch guns going off and the launching of the Tomohawk missiles. :D

What's awesome is back in 5th grade (bout 10 years ago), I got to go to the place that builds them (currently BAE systems, but FMC when I went there, my dad works there as I said before :P) and my dad got to run it for me in the shop (not the firing, but the loading and rotating of the gun) not to mention I got to see a few other setups that showed the loading of various other guns. It was awesome! Oh and my dad did get to go to some of the land test-firings of the MK45 and even has some footage of it (minus sound). :D

Sweetness.
It's even better on the ship. :D
Northrop Grumman builds the ship at Ingalls Shipyard in south Mississippi. That's where I work and love my job.
To see a ship go from shell to full out war ready is an awesome thing.
But watching the MK45 load up is something that everybody needs to see. It's an amazing thing to see considering that it's all automatic and hydraulic driven.

An interesting article telling the story of how lost photographs of Hiroshima came to be found with some examples of the hundreds in the collection:

Which led me to this Flickr album of Nagasaki:

You never wonder how bad it really was until you see pictures of the wreckage and just think, "Wow, they never had a chance." That Mitsubishi Plant was just disintegrated. Great post.
