Points to anyone who can tell me where the gun is intended to go.

I thought it looked too big for the A-10 - until i came across this version of the pic:

Jay Leno often attends with various beasts, including the bigest beast of them all, his Tank Car, as well as his Y2K motorcycle from MTT equipped with a 320hp Rolls Royce Allison 250 series turboshaft engine taken from a Bell helicopter:

I saw an interview with him after he had that thing built. He was driving it home and was stopped at a red light next to some other cars. He happened to glance down into the mirror in time to see the plastic bumper of the Lexus next to him shriveling up and turning black from the heat of the turbine exhaust. He said the driver didn't look like somebody he wanted to get involved with, so when the light turned green, he just cruised away...

Follow-up to 673, one terribly cool building in Chicago:

I've been thinking about starting an off-shoot of the Stuff You Designed thread called Stuff They Designed. We've got some keen graphic designers, there's already a typography thread, and this thread is proof that people are also into architecture. Do you think there would be an interest in an image-based general design thread? It would cover any 2d or 3d design field. It could be a new building in your city, a nice bit of graphic layout in a magazine ad, or a sleek shot of a new phone. Anything that you think looks like it's been well-designed.

I think it would be a great idea. Give people a chance to show off other peoples work they really apperciate. I like it when effort and detail has gone into design. Just see my Avatar, something simple yet stunning in my opinion.

Go for it!

What an a-hole. If I was minted I would offer to replace the persons bumper.

Really? If someone got super close behind you on your bike and your exhaust did some damage you'd pay them?

I don't think I would.

The exhaust on that bike is on the side, completely different if it was actually behind. Bearing in mind he knows the engine in that thing comes from a helicopter (I think) and must generate more heat than your average engine. I think Duke's post mentions it's a turbine exhaust awell.

Edit:

The jet engine (mounted upside down on an aluminum frame) also produces a temperature of about 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit out of the exhaust pipe, so be sure and stand back when this baby is fired up! Source.
