I chukcled a few times and some jokes were well thought out, but it was so, so cringy, specially the training course bit. I like mild entretainment, but that just went too far in my opinion.

The jokes were just old and childish. Not offensive, just childish. Oh Jeremy is getting bummed, how hilarious. It was like something out of a 70s sitcom.

I finally got round to watching episode 1 last night. Overall it was good, I like the new track and the camera work is fantastic. I properly laughed quite a few times, too. However the bit about the RAF and the celebrity section were absolutely awful, possibly worse than the scripted stuff ever was on Top Gear. As soon as it cut to the crowd chanting "USA! USA!" I fast forwarded through that section to get to the actual content.

Generally then the content was good. The chat in the tent? Mostly arse. The intro? Awesome.

I enjoyed it, much better than the previous episode. But I wish they did more challenges or talked more about the cars or more beauty shots instead of focus on Hammond and his Hellcat.

I really enjoyed Episode 3, it felt like being home with these guys at their best again.
And it genuinely made me hate those muscle cars. :D

Only the Celebrity braincrash thing is getting extremely cringeworthy and the house demolition was a little to over-the top scripted especially with the Hammond Photoalbum or James voodo doll. (Me rolling eyes: "Really?...")

I do hope Jeremy's car goes into production thought. I'd get one with a roof.

Did anyone spot (edit: or hear :D) us in the audience?

Also for anyone wondering about the demolition naturally it wasn't all as it seemed - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/201...s-up-his-old-home-to-make-way-for-new-cotswo/

Of course it wasn't. I mean did you really believe they would just take his house down while nobody was around of him and his family ? I read about this scripted event just after episode 1. Also you could see the house was empty of any furniture.

And yeah, the episode pretty much was "Hammond is annoying", but I still enjoyed it. It was a bit wonky and silly, but that's what I love about it. Not being too serious of a car-show.

Why do I have this feeling @Famine was the one who shouted "Brown Astons" after watching that episode? I could be wrong though.

Ha, no. I did say something at the same time as that chap (and the right answer, I might add) which you can just hear...

The lack of BBC music library is quite evident in the clips. Same cinematography, but a few notches down on audio accompaniment.

Ok-ish episode - the budget loutishness is a bit grating (e.g. paying Italian villages to be allowed to disrupt the peace).

One thing i hate about TGT is the "Celeb Rush" segment. Interesting at first but become tiresomely repetitive and unfunny the next. I can tell even the audience reactions in show sounds rather confined.

Well, I can say that I don't like the "celebrity brain crash" segment, it just feels like a waste of time to bring random celebrities in just to kill them off for the sake of a gag. I honestly much rather have them being interviewed like when they were on Top Gear.

Solid 6/10. It was okay but the 'HAHA HAMMOND LOVES LOUD AMERICAN CARS LOL' shtick got a bit old by the end.

Also, I'm convinced May's catchphrase reaction to the celebrity travesty is definitely going to be sold on T-shirts in 2017.

After three episodes I'm not impressed and it's not far being unwatchable. I can't decided what's worse out of this or Evans TG.

And as @Mike Rotch hinted, the music is pants.

I know Top Gear has always been scripted but it's just too exaggerated now on the GT, the features aren't as entertaining and being an international show means some of the British references and humour is no longer in. I honestly think TG with Rory Reid and Chris Harris could be a better show (shame about the extras though and Matt LeBlanc).

The GT3 RS vs M4 GTS review was good, just like old Top Gear. Although I've heard many good things about the GTS from other sources. It was probably just for comedic effect to choose the BMW instead of the Porsche. Conversation Street is great banter. The Celebrity Crash thing is still stupid. The Audi TT bit was pretty funny. But I hope there isn't a stupid "look what we made" bit every episode although it seems like that's exactly what's happening. Now the main part of the show. Clarkson's car is so disgusting. I wish they showed how they built it, sort of like the original "car as a boat" challenge from long time ago. There were some funny bits. I wish May wasn't the idiot out of the bunch. It was fun to watch but I just such there was more car stuff and less "look at what we can now do with Amazon money" crap.

Indeed, May was every annoying this episode.

You know, for 18 months or whatever it was worth of planning, with a massive budget, what they have come up with in terms of content for the first 4 episodes is pretty putrid. It's basically old TG, with a 🤬 test track, a charisma-less test driver and even less car related material.

It feels like what they could actually rip from Top Gear without getting a strongly worded E-Mail from the Beeb.

I'm a bit disillusioned by the show too. Since I'm already paying for Prime, I'll probably still watch it. That being said it took me 3 separate sittings to make it through episode 3 because it was just that meh.

4th episode was fine, the M4 GTS vs RS was great. The challenge was good enough, funniest thing they've done.

Jeremy is rubbish at reviewing cars. Richard and May are alright though.

That chap from Carfection did a much better take on the BMW M cars.
