Henry's last goal was very nice. I missed his first goal. I missed about 15 minutes of some period in the game, but Crystal Palace got slaughtered in the end. They put up a nice fight at the start, though. I thought they were going to start off with a quick goal or two.

The intended own goal well the one by Dunne(SP) was an excellent goal.
Intended? I don't think he intended it ... Sorry, had to point it out. :P

When's the Chelsea v Barcelona match on? Chelsea won't win without Robben, but I still want to watch it (in pain).

I wouldn't say they'll get their arses kicked, but I don't think they'll win this one. Then again, Lampard could pull out something special ... I hope. :indiff:

We have a better defence than Barca, but they are more attacking side with players like Ronaldinho and Eto'o. Although if we have Robben and Duuf firing on all cylinders and Mak being solid holding that back Allowing Lampard to push forward I can see us with a chance. Even without Robben, say with Joe Cole hopefully if he ever manages to produce a good final pass.

At Chelsea we have two Joe Coles, Joe Cole and the Portugese version Tiago Gomez, which must mean Joe Cole in Portugese.

I will be eager to hear Jose's excuses if they are bundled out.

I think Chelsea are part of an Elite group of teams with the worlds best like Manchester United where you can't really say who will win, every one of thoes teams will always have a good chance of winning no matter who they are against. Unfortunately for Chelsea, Barcelona are one of thoes teams :D :me getting smug and hoping to see a Barca win since I'm aunited fan:.

We shouldn't have gotten rid of Lua Lua. Or Carl Cort.

Wait, just Lua Lua...Carl Cort sucks.

Erm...bring back Temuri Ketsbaia! (terrible spelling, I haven't slept for a few days and had too much to drink last night)

I'm agreeing with the UEFA on the whole foreign players thing, it's kind of getting out of hand. I mean, yes, each Coach should have the ability to create the best team he can, but I think it will end up ruining English Football.

I'm not English, so I shouldn't really care, but still, I think 4 English players per team is a good idea. Arsenal just went too far.

I dunno, but I bet Venger wishes that he kept Upson and I bet eventually Pennant as well although he is on a Loan deal. Although whassat bloke, the striker I forget his name, played for everton? Ah yeah Jeffers, he got a fair few chances and mostly fluffed it. I just wonder will players like Bentley get into their first team?

Don't forget Chelsea were the first team to have an all foreign 11, so to be honest we can't talk.

The best English players come from the lower Premiership clubs, who don't have the over crowding problems. So on an England team perspective, I as a supporter don't have any fears about the way English football is going.

You gotta be kidding. If i was to buy that, i would try and buy a matching brown bag to put over my face.

I dont know what the big deal is. Arsenal fielded an all foreign team and beat a team that probably has the most english players in the premiership 5-1. What does that say about home grown talent?

UEFA needs to realise soccer is a business, so teams will do what is best for them. If that means 11 crazy french players or 11 dutch players, then that will be it.

I think Borro have more English players than Palace. Although most of Palaces players are basically Championship level players apart from one or two, i.e Andy Johnson and perhaps Wayne Routledge.

I've noticed that alot of Champions league winning sides over the past few years have contained at least 3 - 4 players from the country they represent.

Munich, Real, Man u, Milan.

I just hope the rich clubs don't get all mean and nasty and buy youth players just to say they have them. You know, buying them but never ever playing them.

Oh like Joe Cole and Glen Johnson you mean?

We use Joe Cole as an 'uber sub' and it has worked on occasions. Although I prefer Glen Johnson to Paulo Ferriera, although I suppose it's experience over youf. I can think of a few Arsenal youth players who get as much team action as the  smiley does.
