I wonder if old Eidur is worried

I dunno what will happen to Eidur, more than likely a massive fine because the circumstances are different.

Man I love Crystal palace.

And I love the fact that Norwitch couldn't defend even if they were equipped with AK47's, Joe Coles corpse would have still been able to score.

Oh and am I the only one who doesn't think Mido is awesome, so skillfull but yet he's so strong on the ball.

I hope palace stay up, but I also hope Southampton stay up. I'm just hoping some other sucky team starts loosing. Although the only other team would be Pompey, who I kinda like as well.

Good Ol' Palace, really helping us along. :D
Your finnishing 3rd mate, just like were finnishing 2nd and Chelsea will finnish 1st. Your defense isn't good enough at the moment.

Nope, we got 6 points from them already, we still have to play Chelsea again and so does Arsenal, I think we have a better chance than Arsenal since we can defend a hell of a lot better and Chelsea can rip apart defensive weaknesses at the moment.

I recon Robben might be back by the time we get to play L'Arse and you guys. So then we can go back to having one central striker and two actual wingers. I find it ironic though, for all the cash we have our squad is still easily depleted.

Oh yeah.

Your definitly stronger with Roben, he's been training so he should be back for the next match, he wanted to play the game on Saturday but Jose didn't even put him on the bench. I was looking the goal differences the other day, I think we are the second best team for least goals agains with 17 or 19 (it's one or the other) and Chelsea have 9 which says it all why your the top this year. If only we went for Duff and paid for Roben, we couldve had hem both. I'll tell you one thing about Roben though, he's all left footed, he can't do anything with his right foot, don't get me wrong he's top class but if he's kept on the wrong side of the pitch his value in the match goes down sharply.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. :sly: Our defence should be up to standard soon, well hopefully.

Someone is feeling a bit too happy.

You know Robben was all but on his way to man u and then we offered him more money. I recon eventualy you'll have Stewart downing to replace Giggs. Well if he keeps playing well and maybe ever bloody gets a decent England start. I'm sure i've seen robben manage to cross and pass pretty well with his right foot, I mean both duff and robben switch positions during the match.

Come on, I'm a United fan. I'm hardly going to say Arsenal have a good chance to get back into 2nd am I ;).

Yeah, we actually had Robben at United but we didn't match what you offered, as for Duff he wanted us to make a move for him, he said it a few times that he wanted to come to Old Trafford but we never went for him so he ended up signing for Chelsea. I don't think we'd ever replace a player like Giggs, he's pure class on his day, his only problem is his final touch. He can take the ball past anyone, past 2 or 3 defenders and then some with the finest skill, but the spoon the pass or shot. It frustrates the hell out of me that a player with his talent does that as often as he does. I've not actually noticed Robben using his other foot for much more than controling the ball tbh, maybe I've just not noticed it, but he uses his left 90% of the time from what I've seen of him, and the pairing of him and Duff is incredible, and we could've had them :grumpy:.

The 3 best teams in the Premiership, Chelsea, Man U and Arsenal. On their day any of them can beat the other, next season I hope for a closer title race, ideally it will be within one game difference points wise at this stage for all three clubs and ideally United will win. I'll give Arsenal credit for one thing, they are entertaining to watch.

I guess Almunia and Cygan have their uses ^

If the title race was closer it would be better 👍 . The way it is now it's like Formula 1 with Micahel Schumacher!!!!

At the moment it's all about the bottom lot and the middle table clashes, each match played is very decisive in those zones, unlike with um say Chelsea.

:D

Yeah, I have to admit my hatred to Arsenal has been watered down this season by my new found hatred of Chelsea, I'm so used to United being THE top team over the last decade or so only for Chelsea to pop up like they have over the last two seasons, anyway it's first place Chelsea, second and third is between our two sides, and the rest is a battle for positions mid table and a relegation battle.

My dislike for Manchester United decreased when Chelsea started thrashing everyone. Then Manchester United had to go and beat us home and away, that kind off annoyed me. Now the dislike-o-metre has shot back up. Now i'd rather have Chelsea win than Manchester United, well thats if the Blues don't disgrace us too much when we meet them later on in this season.

I didnt mind ManU that much this season till Rooney arrived. Now I dislike them just as much as I ever have.

I haven't liked them that much for a while now. There's no simple explanation why I don't like them, but I just don't. Rooney is inconsistent, therefore mildly over-rated. Van Nistelrooy has a face that, for some reason, makes me dislike him. They have two average goalkeepers. Those things, and the simple fact that I don't like many people on the team, is probably the only reason.

I do, however, like Giggs and Ronaldo.

Non Man U fans like to dislike Man U, it's like it's in their genes, if it's city fans it's hate becuase were where they used to be, only weve lasted at the top longer, so they hate that. Aresnal has been a long rival on Man U in the battles for the title and I don't think I'd be far off in saying the team united wants to beat the most EVERY season is Arsenal and probably cive versa. Rooney is incosistent but people forget how young he is, players like Henry, Beckham, Shearer ct didn't show nearly as much promise at 19 than Rooney is now. Ruud looks like a horse but he's top class, look at his goals in Europe this year. Keane has been probably the best player for Unite EVER, he's a fantastic midfielder and captain and he reads the game very, very, very well as does Ferdinand. Smith is a good player, not top class but every game he plays he puts in 100% effort and you can rely on that. IO could go on and on about what I like about the Man U players, I'm not sure about Silvestre though, he makes too many mistakes, he does some good defending, but it's no good doing a great tackle then 5 mins later letting the ball past you into a strikers path.

I've got respect for Man U, but then I can't think of a team that I completely despise. I think allot of people despise them for being so widely supported and for having allot of fans that Aren't from Manchester. I remember someone telling me, you'd be hard pressed to find a Man U supporter in Manchester, there all in London. Which is a bull****, but you get what I mean. It's the same with Chelsea, all of a sudden a whole load of gloryhunter fans have popped up. Same thing with Arsenal as well, but you soon find the actual fans are the ones who keep supporting even through the bad times.

I must admit though, i've only been supporting Chelsea since 1997, when they won the FA cup. Mainly because that was the first time i'd ever taken an interest in Football.

Anyway i've gone off on a tangent here. :odd: :Pmopey:

I haven't followed Soccer for that long, to be honest. I've played occasionally (my friends have been harping at me to play for their team for, honest-to-god, around 6 years now, but I'm so lazy). I think I really got into it somewhere around the end of 2002, or the start of 2003, and Chelsea vs either Man Utd or Arsenal was the first match I watched. I liked Chelsea, so I started supporting them. I didn't want to be another Arsenal/Man Utd fan, as there are a lot over here. The majority of Soccer fans over here either support Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal.

But that's not to say I didn't like them just because they were freakin' good! I like a good team, but I'll support them as long as I follow the sport.

But I've started on as an England fan now, instead of Brazil. That's one thing that has changed, but I only supported Brazil (and Australia of course, but they stink) when I didn't follow Soccer and it was the usual thing for everyone to do. And Lampard and Terry play for England. :P

Very true, it not strange.

Just for my knowledge, how old was Beckham when he scored from the half way line against Wimbledon? I think he must have also been about 18/19?

I don't think Beckham managed 15 total goals a season at that age.

But if scoring 15 goals in one season when you are 19 isn't showing promise, I don't know what is.

Also he has scored some spectacular goals, noteably that lovely half volley against Boro in the FA cup.
