Yeah, but those Arsenal youths have alot of promice and will provide Arsenal with a great young squad for years to come. Reminds me of their 'old guard' of the 80's and 90's.

Chelsea, out, same sentence. Something wrong here.

I commend Glenn Johnson (SP) for an excellent save. ;)

Looks like they crumbled. Bridge off, Duff playing through injury, Kezman playing his usual crap brand of football. Is it too early to say Chelsea might be empty handed at the end of the season?

Well I've just come in here to gloat.

What's the name of that team that beat Chelsea yesterday??? Newdurham??? Nocastle??? Norwich (Pffft no chance). I know. NEWCASTLE!!!

Ofcourse now they'll get beaten by Brentford

You guys do know that there is a Football Association Cup Thread right? I'm suprised mighty mod Rotch didn't point there already ;)

I missed that match and the highlights, 9 men bloody hell. Oh well, doesn't look good for the game against Barca.

It was an ok save. Robert blasted the ball at him and he just fell infront of it!! Must stung a bit though!!

I hope he gets to play in the game against barca, although we'll probably have to switch Ferreira to Leftback if gallas doesn't make it. And if Duff(man) doesn't make it, we'll have no decent wide players.

*Wishes we didn't sell Gronkjaer, or at least bought another wide player*

Race Idiot
Exactly, squad depth my arse. Although I hear Glen Johnson makes an excellent keeper.

He sure does make a keeper. We are thinking of buying him to replace Almunia in the next transfer window. :sly:

That Arsenal/Southampton game was pretty crazy. Two red cards, and Prutton went berserk when he got his. I thought he was going to kill that other referee. Frustrating game to watch, too.

I still laugh at Lehmann every time I look at him. Not because he's a very average goalkeeper, more because he looks like he belongs in a maximum security mental ward.

I think his actions on the pitch are good enough reason for him to be admitted into a nut house. Did anyone see that pathetic jump he did to catch the ball? Arsenal need a keeper like the one a Soton. He was world class yesterday and was the only reason that the game finished as a draw.

Did you see Prutton  he attempted to deck the official , how long is he going to get banned for, for pushing the other official?

Haha, Delia smith tried to do that announcer thing that Bayern do. Although the point is you do it when you score a goal, not when you go a goal down.

Apparently it was to the media

Chelsea were really lucky. I reckon Gerrard was paid by Chelsea to do that. It was a great header though.

Apparently it was to the media

If thats the gesture to the media then it actually looks quite harmless. I also thought Gerrard was bribed, not like him to mess up like that. Ashame his own goal cost Liverpool the game.

Great, I was looking for that. I have an animation of him mouthing eff off at Caragher. Ps Liverpool were pretty sucky after the first goal, I mean they spent most of the match sitting back and defending. Morientes was so isolated it was untrue, it would have been another story I recon if Benitez had played Morientes and Baros together though.

And here is the image.

I think he needs to curb his temper, to be honest. I can see why he wasn't liked mutch in Portugal.

So he was sent off during the Liverpool match for mouthing off at Carragher. That would make more sense.

Haha, that clip is hilarious.

He is a bit paranoid - "the media, they're out to get me" :scared:

I don't think he made it out like that, what he meant was they blasted him because he lost two games. But that's what the mass media are like in England, which I think he'll learn over time.

The best thing was the aftermatch interview with Mourinho.

ITV Person: So what did that (the gesture) mean then?
Mourinho: It means shutup a your face

Me: *dies of laughter*

Heh, shutup a your face.

Its probably indicative of the pressure he is under from old Roman.

And, for the record, the gesture got him in the hock because he was "inciting the crowd" 👍

I'm sure what he did when he came to Old Trafford with Porto incited the crowd. Although indirectly, trying to 'shhhh' a whole load of Liverpool fans is a bit different and a tad insane.

I think it makes a change from the now tired Venger vs Fergie arguments. Now we can have Venger vs Fergie vs Mourinho vs Benitez arguments.

Well that loan spell got cut short.
