There so many cars in the world that you can think of comparing/competing at each other in their classes. SUVs, Pickups, Sedans, Coupes, Exotics, JDM, USDM, Euros, anything, anywhere!!!

Heres my sample list:

Minivan (USDM)
-Honda Odyssey
-Chrysler Minivans
-Toyota Sienna
-Mazda MPV
-Kia Sedona
-GM Minivans

Ultamate Offroad SUV Manufacturer
-Toyota
-Am General/Hummer
-Suzuki
-Mercedes-Benz
-Jeep
-Land Rover
-Mitsubushi
-Nissan
-Daihatsu
-Isuzu
-Lada
-Kia
-Hyundai
-Ford
-Chevy/GMC

I dunno - the ultimate comparison for me was always the Toyota Camry/Honda Accord comparo, especially because my father's had something like 13 Camrys and a few of the Camry Lexuses.

A great comparo to do nowadays is sport sedans -
- Lex IS300
- BMW 330
- Audi A4 3.0
- Merc C280
- Volvo S80

The cars compare extremely closely (though in the end, the BMW takes the cake, and the Audi'd probably finish second, though it all depends on your driving skill and need).

for offroad vehicles, nothin beats toyota. they have been there from the start and have gone hard and reliable all the way with the 78 and 100 series landcruiser.

now the new 100 series cruisers have V8 grunt!

Um M5Power,
You Forgot Infiniti G35, Acura TL Type-S, the other M-B C320, and the new Saab 9-3 in the sport-sedan category or check www.roadandtrack.com for the ultamate sport-sedan comparo.

I agree, Toyotas are the best! Tough, economical, practical, reliable, and durable. No other hardcore SUVs will match this Toyotas reputation.

:odd:

Personally, I'd like to see a Yugo and LeCar comparison.

I'll admit I forgot the C320 - I thought the highest it went was the C280. Whoops! However, I intentionally skipped the others. The G35 is big - way too big! It's a CTS competitor, instead. The TL Type-S, or any TL, is also too big, and is ranked next to the ES300 at the high-end of the family sedan scale. The new 9-3 should be in there, but there aren't enough of them out for me to remember that.

You try coming from a family with a little under 20 (closer to 30 now) in 25 years! I hated Toyotas at the end of it!

PS, Robin - WE DO NOT GET HOLDENS IN THE UNITED STATES.

why does that matter? im just saying if you include most of the holden sedans in the sports car section, they will own all the competition!

Because I don't have any idea what cars in Australia are called, unless they're sold in North America or Europe, too. Holden, like a lot of Aussie Fords, is only sold in Australia/New Zealand.

Dude, you suck. The S80 is obviously the best car out of those.

Except for that 2.4 and 2.5 crap though, ugh, they're for weenies.

I meant to put 'S60.'

I thought I had.

Since when does the XC90 compare to those cars? The X5's got a 4.6 litre V-8, the ML55's got a 5.5 litre V-8, the Range Rover has millions and millions of litres (and a BMW designed engine) yet the XC90's probably got some turbocharged five-cylinder...

...the better comparison would be:

- Volvo XC90
- Mercedes ML320
- BMW X5 3.0i
- Lexus RX300
- Infiniti QX4
- Acura MD-X
Wildcard - Audi Allroad

Hear that Doug? T6! That's 267 ponies, nice!

That twinturbo you're reffering to is the 2.9 Bi-Turbo. :)

wrong, they are sold in africa, the UK and throughout the continent of asia.

the sultan of brunei has a few nice ones.

clown.

Throughout the continent of Asia!? Yeah right.

Only the counties in Asia that operates right-hand-drives and sold them as grey markets in Singapore, Malaysia, etc.

Not in countries with left-hand-drive cars (eg.the Philippines).

and you do realise that the continent of asia covers russia, europe, middle east too, not just places where asians are.

I didn't hear any media sources about exporting any Aussie cars in some parts of the world. Maybe the majority of the them are being imported as grey-markets.

oh I see.

Is it a official dutributior of Holden/HSV or Ford/Tickford.
Or just an importer like Motorex for Skyline and Evolution Motorsports for EVO VII (in US).

Oh, I hope that such distributor will import Holdens/Aussie Fords here in the US.

Imagine, me driving an HSV beating the crap of the Chevy Impala SS or the Mercury Marauder. That'll be fun.

i know im gonna cop a fair bit of **** for what im about to say but im gonna say it anyway.

the base HSV model, the HSV Cloubsport, is better than the corvette. there have been several american car biz dudes that have said that holdens crap all over chevrolet. chevrolet does not want to introduce holdens because they would lose out on many millions of dollars.

Imports rules, those Detroit guys are too insecure of themselves.

Detriot-made cars sucks.

Oh thats great, I think I will pop down to my local Holden dealership..............................

Alright alright who put that VAUXHAL DEALERSHIP THERE?

This is the case unless your talking about imports, which you probably are.

Before you go off tricking people, they sell exactly ONE Holden in the UK, the HSV Commodore. The rest are Vauxhalls, and there's no way to tell which are also sold in Australia and which aren't.

Same story for Asia, they're rebadged and called Opel.

I give less of a **** about Africa than I do about Australia.
