The best GT5 cars according to stormbringer!

Ever tried the Mazda Furai Concept '08? Win it in B-Spec Amateur NR-A Roadster Cup, and Im not quite sure if it is better than the Minolta! If you run the Mazda on super soft tires and:

Aerodynamics: Downforce:
- Front 35
- Rear 60

Transmission: Gear Ratio:
Max Speed 380 KM/H (236 MPH)

Suspension -> Wheel Alignment:
Camber Angle:
- Front 2.5
- Rear 2.0

the mazda can take any corner at nearly any speed! Did not see it in your speed list=)

(That is not for me to take credit from, Thanks to RedScythe22 from GameFAQs for the set-up, and to Pesico for posting it on ps3trophies!)

Hey all. Bit new around here, just started to get into GT5 and now loving it, up to level 31 in A spec but a bit of a novice as to the workings etc. I like the top end fast stuff, recently unlocked the insane X1 and have the Gran Turismo F1 car, also have the 908 HDi. I have about 6million saved, I was thinking of purchasing the #7 Toyota but have always like the Toyota GT-One. Anyone got any thoughts on these? the Nissan R92c looks cool too. Thanks

I agree with the Sauber Mercedes C9 and Ferrari 430 Scuderia. 👍

The C9 is my favorite Le Mans racer and it's just outrageously fast. Whenever I'm taking it out for a race, when driven, it's just got that balance to it you don't find too often with the others. One of my clutches.

While I do like the 458 more than the 430 Scuderia, there's no denying that the Scuderia grips a little bit better on the bends. The 458 is heavier and understeers a tad bit more. It's honestly one of the most well-rounded cars in the game.

Looks like I'm a day late, i took the plunge for the #7 Race car and yes, i am a little dissappointed but i wanted it and now i got it. It's a shame you can't sell it once you are done with it. I will be saving up for the Toyota GT-One now. Thanks.

Can anyone give me som advice on good drifting cars? I have played a lot with Mazda RX-7 in other games but im not sure how it drives in GT.

Toyota 7 is a prize car and so is Toyota GT-One.The GT-One you get late in the game but the Toyota 7 not. Please check this for future knowledge :)

I dont drift much, but i know those tuned S2000s are good drift cars.
browse the tuning company cars in the new car dealerships and check out their descriptions.

Long time since I looked in here last time. You still haven't fixed the GT5 problem?

I also fixed the rally test sheet, if anyone ever uses it, lol.

And lastly, I cannot believe this thread is just left to die, maybe the biggest test thread in the entire forum. 134 cars (the popular ones among them) on Deep Forest plus some Le Mans and rally testing. Gives a good indication of all cars in all classes, even though skid was turned on.

Okay, little help here please. I am after the toyota Gt one, I have enough credits but it just does appear in the UCD. I have cycled the licences to get a full new stock of cars for what appears to be umpteen times and not once have i seen the GT-one. I would really like this car. Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Nope, my ps3 is pretty moody but it'll play GT5 provided I give it an hours rest between games.

Did you make an update for the rally sheet? Lemme know if you want to edit it.

There arnt many "cool" cars left to test. I've got mostly the older jgtcs and some random cars left over. Didn't think there would be much interest in those.

I think it's a prize car in the game somewhere. Check out jeep2008s matrix thread.

I edited the sheet so that it contained the test, instead of something that shouldn't be there, so no need to edit anything ;)

The GT-ONE is a prize car in a 24hr race somewhere - might as well buy it if you really want it, those 24hr races are too much. It's only 2.9 mils if I remember, not much compared to the Bentley Speed 8 (5.5) and the GT-ONE is the best LMP/GC car for offline racing. The Audi R8 '01 is clearly much better for online racing, superior to all the others.

thanks. Incredibly the car popped up on the last attempt. I know you can win it in B spec but i am not interested in B Spec whatsoever. If i ain't driving, there's no point. Just my two cents. The GT-one is all i thought it would be. A Happy purchase.

I totally agree about the Audi R8 '01's online ability.I was trying al my LMPs in a lobby online and I noticed a guy smashing the competition in an Audi R8 '01,that tipped me off so ever since it's the only one I use for LA SARTHE etc online :)

The Audi has been banned from most LMP series in here because of it being superior. So it's a fact and cannot be discussed, no matter how much you like the 787B or the Peugeot 908 they are not as fast as the Audi, trust me.

And btw Storm, I think the matrix you was referring is Garbuckle's, not Jeep's ;)

@ Stormbringer. Your list has been brilliant for me purchasing some cars this last 2 weeks. I very recently got the Mazda 787, Audi R8 01 Race car, the Toyota Gt-one. I have approaching 4+ million credits. I like the look of the Nissan R92cp, or Peug 905c or the Merc Sauber which you seem to like, BUT, i can't make my mind up. I have La Sarthe covered with the Toyota, and the R8 01 handles great. So, which of those three i mention handles the best? with some top end grunt of course. Thanks

i really like the sauber and the 905 race car. you need to get them both.

the 905 is a great drive, handles awesome, and has a high revving engine! (about 11000rpm = fun especially if you drive manual.) weighs less than other LMPs, handles corners really well, only downside is its 350kmh topspeed. I tend to drive this car much more aggressively than the faster, more powerful LMPs youve mentioned. One of my fave cars for nurburgring.

The sauber is another must have. Its a very stable car compared to the other LMPs. Easier to handle through corners. more predictable than the others. The best imo.

R92CP is cool too, not as good, but still good. I would buy the above 2 first.

long time since i updated. Added some leftover cars to the deepforest list.
have a few more id want to add in there...so will update in the near future.

Amuse S2000 street version
AC 427 S/C'66
Audi A4 Touring Car
Opel Calibra Touring
Vauxhall Astra Super touring

Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI

I was looking at the data you had for the 905, the car maxs out at 919HP not the listed 852HP. I've also seen the 905 do 370kmh on the Nurburgring, the funny thing is it'll do 350kmh on a pretty short straight.
