Congratulations to my mates at school who took it slower and harder than me this time at the rain .
Usually i have patience promplems  even more at rain events and my mistakes are more when it needs to slow down and control a run.
I ve seen already Boss run from his channel .... Grate run Bryce and of course the usual suspect for the first place Hugh the Boogeyman.

Here is my run where i didn't set the tab in right position and from the tyre indicator you hardly can see only the S from RS and only if background is a bit brighter .
Hope to do better at next wet but this Cadillac ain't barbie to play with

Edit
For this round at GT 3 Audi race i think that we must make a gentleman agreement .
Since its easy to miss the chicane and Ascari turn whereat TT mode your lap comes red as blood ,
I think is better to agree to go the faster way around .
So it will be fair for everyone than try to take it right and miss one ore two or whatever at those two turns and get a benefit that you don't wanted at first place.
This way i think is fair enough , if it was about TT the shortcutting police is there to do their job but in a single race they aren't and its hard to criticize even on vid .
Waiting for your opinion.

No shortcuts, if you happen to get a bit crossed up under braking or you have an AI car next to you and have to cut a little bit to avoid contact then that's OK to me, but no deliberate shortcuts.

Just end from a 40 minutes session on GT3 race.
Vertict
Its all about sleepstreming deffinetly .
The AI doesn't race the same each time so you can find the Phoenix audi or a Z4 blocking your way after the first chicane , i hit the Audi 3 times when sundedly move to the left but the Z4 was more polite and left me some room.
Free air can run from 1.49 mid to 1.51 depending how good i am and top speed is below 260khm everywhere.
Under sleepstreming first lap can be a dead 2.00 and the faster i went on other laps was 1.47 . With top speed sometimes over 300khm !!!! Depending where and how close you are
Just race against 2 line ups but don't know which is better to follow.
Its a tough race anyway ......

My 2 different results so far

PS
Here we celebrate the " Clean Monday " today so its an opportunity to get a bit drunk and forget a bit whats " bother " me everyday

FYI; The new SkeagRacingSchool at Spa with the Cadillac will run on Racing Soft Tires. You must show on the video that you present at the school. If you need my tune I would be most happy to give it to you.

Drive to Survive, with Glamour at Côte d'Azur!

Tunnel Shot.jpg

What is there for me to say about Monaco that hasn't been said before? It's a street track set on the country where everyone is rich, famous for the F1 Grand Prix held every year and also for being nearly impossible to overtake on. It's a fun track to drive, but not a fun track to race.

And as soon as I started running this challenge, I realized something horrible with the grid I got: I can't win the race. An Opel Calibra showed up and it starts the race all the way up the hill near the Casino. You can't catch it in just three laps, it's impossible. There is simply not enough time.

After just two runs I got the AI pattern down and was able to devise a strategy to get to the front quickly. Most of the AI cars I got aren't that fast except for the Calibra, so they're easy to get past. The problem was figuring out where to pass them.

So, off the start, we do Sainte Devote in 3rd gear and blast past the Miata up the hill. We pass the Peugeot and the S2000 after the Casino, down the hill onto Mirabeau, where we get past the Starion around the outside. A risky move, but fairly doable as being fast enough to get down its inside is quite hard.

After that, we get a bit of clean air until we exit the tunnel. At this point, we catch up to the Hyundai, the Garaiya and the Mine's Evo. The Garaiya usually passes the Evo and the Motul Civic ahead of this group fairly easily, but sometimes it can get stuck in traffic. If it does get stuck, we can pass all three into Piscine, otherwise we pass just the Hyundai and the Evo and follow the Garaiya to the end of the lap.

At the start of Lap 2, we pass the Civic on the exit of Turn 1, up the hill. If we already passed the Garaiya at this point, we have clean air until the end of the race, as the Calibra is uncatchable. Otherwise, we can pass the Garaiya on the exit of the hairpin, going into Portier. Sometimes, if it fails to overtake the Civic into Sainte Devote, we can pass both there, but it's risky and can potentially ruin the run if you get it wrong. After that, we just push as hard as we can.

After a few more runs I ended up with a best time of 5:06.022. For now, it's all I can do. Perhaps someone with a wheel can actually catch the Calibra if it does show up, but I can't do it.

TV show again from @CozmicDragon with all the details 👍
Since i read his post i open the ps3 for half an hour and get the ford for a spin.
Didn't find any Calibra but one Garaiya which was in front also was untouchable
Certainly there will be races with weaker frontrunner but is a tough call anyway .
Still the car feels very good in that tight , twichy , blind track but need a lot effort to hunt timer .
Didn't last long ,but am on same boat with @CozmicDragon .
A training session will be useful to find mine and car limits before deal with this.
Nice choice from @Thematic , its one of my favourite tracks and not cause am good at it , just feels good when you get the job done especially when you don't have chit chat with the barriers .

My setup for Stretch Up And Down. It's meant more as a reference (see below) than anything else. I may not stick to it myself, since the transmission is a little short, for I felt that for a start I needed a reminder to not fly out of the Conrod straight in an unfortunate sense. I did a 2 minute 9 second lap (last one of that race) with it. Since Mount Panorama Circuit seems to be one of the better tracks in the game as far as surface detail and thus force feedback goes, this setup is supposed to accentuate that. So the feeling is of a very light weight race car. A practice lap on an empty track might be useful even for determining if you agree with this, or if it's just too out there.
Tyres as they come from the car and the race limit, racing hard.
Suspension height 90/90
spring rate 7.82 / 13.72
dampers comp. 6/6
dampers ext. 5/5
ARB 3/3
camber < 0/0
toe < 0 / 0.12 (a stretch?)

Brake balance 8/7
Transmission easy mode: top speed 290 km/h (which gives a 0.901 6th gear if you are not with the metric)
Differential gear standard (7 / 30 / 15)
Engine tuning #3, High RPM Turbo kit, makes for a usable rpm range of 7000..9500 except for top speed to ten thousand.
Downforce 200 front, 266 rear.

From memory and the replay of my best lap (where I was first throughout):
For turn one I can't say where I brake, I look into the corner and there's just that opaque barrier on the left.
The end of Mountain Straight, I'll mean to brake at the latter service road, just before the left side billboard, which means fourth gear when I get to have the racing line, but third won't be a major drawback.
Turn three can be full throttle, but that leaves little margin for any error, and if I do it with even one car ahead I consider my chances of a clean getaway slim. Changing to fifth gear may just increase that margin a little, depending on if that extra downshift then is detrimental or advantageous for The Cutting.
I want to use third there, but on this lap I came in a little hot, skidded and that wild turbo thing made me shift to second.
I remember doing an outside pass in the fast entry left, where the track dips down for a second, but I don't think I knew what I was getting INTO. Avoid this, especially if you aim to not knock your/any car.
Down then.
(I tend to) Brake a car length before the banner, but cease and apply "some" throttle in 4th to have the rear tyres participate soundly. The Esses (hey, it says so in huge letters) include a sharp dip and should again be under some throttle but in third gear. This is one of the most treacherous parts with or without company, be prepared to do anything. Failure will easily cost you - and others - over ten seconds, as you become a flimsy road block and the walls prevent you from ducking out.
The next braking ideally is at Forrest's Elbow, that opens to the fast section. Stay smooth in third gear. I was surprised when I once passed three on lap two, I don't know if that's deliberate to give more opportunities for low power cars that don't have high top speed.
That's the reason why Conrod Straight should be approached with caution, now. The contestants drive very differently than on the Mountain Straight. They move sideways a lot, so counterintuitively, the higher your relative speed, and the wider the gap, the safer the overtake. If it's A. Polo or another high powered one, it's quite alright to wait until the braking game to pass.
This chicane is in third gear and the red & white is so steep it may be best to avoid grazing all that.
The last corner it's fine to start braking when past the divider, on the left. Probably a tenth of a second later, too.
So whether it's because of similar or different things and regardless of which settings you pick, I hope you enjoy.

I'm kinda willing to bet the only reason you won that race was because the Calibra didn't start in first place (or anywhere near the front), so it got stuck in traffic and you got past without issue. If it's in first place at the start, you have no hope of catching that thing.

If it was a four lap race, I could probably catch it, but not in just three.

Judging from a previous run against a Garaiya ,and if you catch it ( same applies for Calibra) you might have one chance only at the Rascasse ,you can't pass them on straight cause they are way faster.

@Thematic i didn't run your choice yet but i bet it will be very enjoyable , i have pretty good memories from that car at Laguna Seca from a previous school run.
Looking forward on this ..... Nice description mate , very nice

No tune

And here is my last lap replay

This field was a bit helpful cause i didn't find cars gathered in one place and help me pass them without loosing much time and of course at some of them i " blackmail " the pass as i did at Renault monster .

Excellent car for this track and if it was one more lap it will be grate to run against the faster opponents .
Can shave perhaps one sec but still is difficult even that small gain.
Feels very nice to shave the barriers and not hit them and this car is damn good for that.

The lack of SRF made things a bit harder than i thought .
No way to run so little rear downforce as @Thematic did and my set up is close to his but more loose on terms of spring rate.
Still not confident on the car and the small part at beginning of second lap explains why.
Must limit the unwanted rear end reactions ......
From training session

Finally i get into Fp2 and i think i find some confidence at the small bomb.
My set up based on Praiano tune which is more precise and sharp than what i run but is less forgivable .
Am on a looser side ,might be not so accurate but serves the cause.

@smoothbore12 I did 1st lap 3 sec faster than you.. actually messed last lap.. So I think I can do 4.54 at least.. I was trying to make a clean race after that so didn't pursue the time anymore.. But my fastest lap was only 37.9 so nothing special :P

My best first was 1.41 something but not in that run and i can't go lower or at least i guess so.
Maybe ill try again after few days when and the other guys post their times.
I " hate " when you make it seems so easy :D
But you know i love you , don't you ?

Forgive me for my French but right now i feel i will use them again : you 🤬 #$%#$% 🤬 ;$%%!;;#%#€@\_& :banghead: :banghead:

I haven't started on the other events yet, because this mountain twisted me dry already. Quite ready for tomorrow, though.
So yesterday I was using a 331 bhp car. Today the first thing I did was to add oil, and despite all that effort before that the adjustment was not an easy one. But I only change the transmission, like I said, sixth now = 0.845.
So far I have seen three different grids, and A. Polo was in all of them, while in two of them Polo was the fastest one not driving an Elise.
Total [10:46.063]
suad_result.jpg
While looking at all the lap times today I thought the oil would make a 2.5 second help per lap, and if I compare the two total times, the average comes to 2.7.
Oh and Polo+Thalberg seem to have the quick machines, their presence might be useful for lap two slipstreaming.

Can't find a grid with Calibra on P1 :(
Anyways..
View attachment 897094

edit.. i loaded like 20 grids.. no luck..
edit2.. lancia delta s4 can do 4:45 if on p1 lol
Good race time there my friend . You are about 4 seconds faster than my race time, and a good race time depends on what grid you get and also the position of the cars around the track to pass them.

Strech up & down

This was an easy field and at my first try the damn blue barrier caught me on 4th lap :banghead:

After that i run twice a field with the 2 guys in front that @Thematic mentioned above and by mistake i didn't take even a shot while i was on 32s :banghead:
I was remembering the 30 that i had stop to take the vid and thought that it was slower :banghead:
Anyway i had a disaster 2nd lap on this one and i think the faster line it better if you can take sleepstreming advantage on big straight starting the first lap , if you don't its useless cause you pass them both on the uphill section or before the esses .
Good part that i can shot consistent laps near 2.06s-2.07s
@nostradavor2 don't even make a comment ,till weekend comes i will " hate " you
Good day guys ....... except him

Strech up & down update
IMG_20200306_104518.jpg

Aiming to brake 30s but it's not easy ( @nostradavor2 i see you laughing ) since is long track and the blue barrier at Forrest's elbow is waiting for the big hug every time .
I just give more length on gear box and all the uphill section is on limit of 4th gear and mostly to to avoid rear end snaps when i start acceleration right after Cutting curve.
What most needed here is to have " rhythm " and " flow " and is more important than have a blistering lap and skrew the others or make costly mistakes .
Another good part is that i don't even notice the absence of SRF .
Good choice @Thematic ,long one but good .
