The Crew: Wild Run Edition

I just need to figure out what places I need to go to in the mountains to get towards the named locations. Since I think it's bugged for the South and maybe the same for the mountains (Which I hope not)

Started trying your tutorial for Rep points and it's not working. I just did 20 events in the Perf version of the Mas and I am still at 2%

So I'm in the middle of the faction mission "Showtime" (2.5 hours)
During the race I can only see the minimap, but it doesn't tell me where I am, (E.G. Grand Canyon).
Is this something I can change? It used to be there (from the YouTube videos I've watched) before the wild run update. Also, I know how to zoom out the mini map to the one click bigger, is there a way to make it even larger? Or zoom out further? I'm trying to see off road shortcut opportunities. I'm running a 567 level raptor against the 621-650 AI, so I'm looking for every edge!
I don't expect to win, but I hope to get third place, he's currently 2.2 miles and a 1:30 ahead. First place is almost 8 miles ahead, and I'm working my way out of the Grand Canyon. I've had a lot of fun flinging myself of random cliffs in search of an edge, btw, the off road gps line (fully upgraded) is really helpful guiding you to ways out of canyons that could have taken considerably more time to find.

Don't need bucks. Over 1 Million bucks. Need Rep. Also my post clearly said that I needed 100K Rep.

Edit: For the Summit Car will be a BMW Bike. Not what I wish to see. I like the cars better than bikes, oh well another "Free" car.

Since the Wild Run update the names of places do still appear at the bottom of your GPS but they don't stay like they used to. When you get to a new area, the name will pop up and then disappear in a few seconds.

Yeah thanks for telling me, I found later that when I map the minimap bigger then shrink it, it pops up for a few seconds.

I had a dream about taking on the Route 66 in a '69 Charger, but some miles from Chicago i couldn't find the roadsigns anymore. Read something about it being poorly done in the game.

Kinda disappointed it didn't get more attention from the devs, since it's such a big part of US history.

@DDastardly00 talked me into buying The Wild Run dlc over the weekend and wow it was well worth the purchase. I ended up playing that DLC for about 14 hours off and on all day Saturday. Played with him for a vast majority of that time too. That is by far the most addicted I have been to this game since I purchased it. Once you get the Wild Run dlc there is just so much to do especially after you enter the Summit. The monster truck challenges and drag challenges are a blast. The drifting will take a little for me to get used to. I have not purchased a dirt bike but will the next time I play. The random rewards are excellent too. I earned a free monster truck and a free drift car. That is worth about $800,000.

There are also instant challenges you can do solo or with Crew members similar to Burnout Paradise by holding Right on the D pad. You start the activity and the game gives you random challenges. For example, jump 500 meters, near miss 20 cars, power brake 4 seconds, get 10 seconds of air time in a monster truck, perform 4 donuts, and many more. These are very fun and pay out very well.

You are also able to set up instant races with your crew members by holding left on the D pad. This will allow you to set waypoints ANYWHERE on the map up to 10 waypoints. At this point you send the challenge to your crew members and the race instantly starts. The best part is you get paid to do it!! So the longer the race, the more money.

So if some of you are on the fence about the Wild Run DLC, it is WELL worth it. 👍

I hadn't tried the FD challenge before this week, Camaro and I had fun doing them, I set up one Free Drive challenge through the snowy Mountain dirt/snow roads well east of Salt Lake City because Camaro hadn't unlocked that part of the map yet.

You don't have to race the challenge if you don't want to, there is no timer so you can just cruise if you want to. We encountered some beautiful vistas looking out over snow covered valleys on that drive and stopped to look and take it all in. I love FD challenge mode, I am going to use this feature a lot. You basically can get PAID for exploring with this feature, not bad at all.

I ended up winning a Gold medal in the last Summit event and won a free Drag spec kit as a prize, good times.

Yes as he said, you can just use these for cruising with friends. It also does not matter if you finish first or 2nd because it pays very close to the same. The payout is very generous too. I believe we made somewhere around 10,000 for a nice simple cruise.

The next events are up. I got gold both in the first and 2nd one. Going for my 3rd one now/ tonight Enough to get me into the monthly summit.

Oh nice. I will have to hop on tonight and check out the new events. Plus see what I unlocked for my gold and silver events over the weekend. This new Wild run dlc is so addictive. So glad I bought it.

I noticed something on Sunday night when I logged into to the Crew and got the prize reward for completing the Summit event, if you look at the rewards it had a MT icon for Monster Truck, but what I actually won was a Dg- Drag spec; so I think the icon is always a MT but you can win other things.

It's different. The one you win is the one that is set. The one that you can also win over a period of time is also set and both can be different.
The one you can win in the roulette changes from event to event, While the one you can earn points and win is set until you win it and then it will change.

Hopped onto The Crew yesterday to check my rewards. I unlocked a couple +11 level 47 parts for my monster truck. Not too bad. Started a couple of the next Summit challenges. Only had a little time to participate in a couple events. The new drag race caught me completely off guard.

Hopefully you did enough to at least earn a bronze medal, that would count towards the 3 medals you need to get into the monthly Summit. If not, there are still plenty of events to earn a medal in before the Monthly event starts. You can see how much time is left in each weekly event on the main event page in the lower left hand corner (where it shows you what medal you currently have).

Summit Bonus rewards (From Qualifiers and final) to win the car. +5% of qualifier and with 4 medals you get +20% Giving that the chance for the car/bike is greater to get with Gold/Silver.
Monster has been improved with reworked scoring and tricks.
Crew Time attack can be done with 2 or 3 now.
Drift points reworked, Longer the drift the more points.

Then general fixes and handling updates.

They always have a full 3 day limit. This qualifier ends at 5 am CT tomorrow.
It Normally would say 2 days that means it's 2 days+24 hours.

Next summit will probably 7 am CT Thursday to 5 pm Sunday.

Then it's the 18-21st.
Then late 21st-24th.
Final Summit starts on the 25th-31st.

Edit: Just saw this on reddit and moderator confirmed it. Your New Summit Car. And more info on the bonus of qualifiers. (Also Platinum doesn't add to the %, 100% is 100%)

I think it's every 3.5 days so the current event should close tonight? I would check the event timer in the lower left-hand corner of the main summit page when you get home. It will say exactly home much time is left.
