The Crew: Wild Run Edition

I don't even want to start doing the summit. Since the award is the Lotus which I have already 2100 miles on it since last month. Still no clue on what you would win if you already have the car.

If it's not a duplicate of the car can go for platinum.
If it's a duplicate of the car (If car is already won best would be to get silver)
If they are smart (doubt about it) you will win as cash the price of the car if you already own it.

Which are the prizes depending on the medal / final raking possible? Wondering this reading you would skip gold medal for a silver one.

Results are as followed. If duplicated = nothing next best is Silver for a 25% CC chance.
Platinum 100% Car
Gold is 50% car 15% Parts, 15% ESK, 20% CC
Silver is 10% Car, 25% ESK, 25% CC, 25% Parts. 15% Boost.
Bronze is 5% Car, 30% Parts, 15% ESK, 20% CC, 30% Boost.
Nothing is 25% Boost, 75% Nothing.

So I thought you had to have Xbox Live Gold to play this game, but apparently not, maybe it's something they changed in the wild run update? I'm on Xbone and have worked my way clear into New York (just finished the Vegas raid race). I bought the wild run edition but I haven't used the code for the wild run expansion toys yet.

@DDastardly00 pulled me back into this game and I forgot how fun it was. Even better with all the new free updates. I do not have the Wild Run DLC yet but I plan to get it in the near future for sure. The playground obstacle course area by the salt flats is available FREE even if you do not have the DLC. I did not know that area even existed. Reminded me of playing Tony Hawk games, yet with vehicles. I am going to focus really hard on unlocking all the cars and satellites. I unlocked the Hot rod and that car is very fun to drive. Also unlocked a lot of goodies for it yesterday.

Definitely focus on the satellites because those unlock skill events which you need to level up cars/trucks. It is helpful to have at least one vehicle over level 1200 for each spec category. Raid is the hardest to get over 1200 but if you focus on doing hill climb skill events and Race line skill events then you will get there at little faster, the off-road escape events are also a good choice for leveling up raid vehicles.

I had no idea the obstacle course was available without the expansion, makes me wonder if the rest of the obstacle courses are there without the expansion, I have found at least 5 different courses so far.

That is a smoking deal. I took my nephew and his friend to Best buy to exchange the copy of Fallout 4 - Xbox One I bought for him for Christmas for a PS4 version of the game (I had no idea he exchanged his console for a PS4 until after I bought it). While we were there he picked up The Crew Wild Run edition for $39.99. I guess it wouldn't have mattered much since his was using a gift card to buy it anyway, but dang that is a great deal.

I will focus on the Satellites for sure next time I play.

And whoa? there are at least 5 different obstacle courses? The 1 course we went to was really fun but 5....Seriously wow!

The thing is that Raid isn't too hard if you can find a good racing line to repeat. However due to the smart loot system now kinda broken it's next to impossible to level up.

Luck I unlocked every lv50 bonus part with at least 1 car prior of the patch, so now I can eventually buy parts. It costs a lot, but with Highway Child on my 458 Speciale I get 376k in less than 1 hour.

So, I've had this (PS4) for quite some time and it's become one of those games that just has to played constantly.

Except for when you appear to be the only person on GTP and one of many who, for the last three or four days, have been unable to log in. Soo the "an roadtrip" I was planning on doing for New Year is kinda not really looking likely to happen.

Remind me again how you can make 300k+ on Highway Child?

I guess I'll find out what happens with the Lotus Evora Prize car. I did all of the major Summit events last night, 1 attempt each and managed to put up some nice times and scores. I already have a platinum medal in the event. In the last monthly summit event I won the car so I don't know what will happen this time, hopefully it's a money prize instead.

I
  • Get yourself the Maserati Gran Turismo S if you don't already own the Fullstock model.
  • Buy the Perf and Circuit specs for that car, and upgrade them both to level 1299. I would ONLY do this when I know I can upgrade them to that level by purchasing 11 Lv.50 Platinum parts.
  • I wouldn't recommend doing this until the next Summit Qualifier, but grind the Summit skill challenges with the Maserati; make sure to use both specs, and to keep going at it until the Smart Loot system starts to award you with bucks from doing this.
  • From what I've experienced, you'll need to do 68 skills in total (34 per spec) at the very maximum. Assuming you get a Platinum medal every time, this should take no more than 90 minutes.
  • Then, do the Faction Mission "Highway Child" using the Maserati; you should earn $352K in about an hour instead of $176K and a performance part.
  • The reason you can do it so easily with this car is because Maserati gave orders to Ivory Tower, saying that (outside the Circuit Spec) their cars can't be modified like the other cars in the game can. That's why you can't buy anything for it, and that's how I understand it.
  • You should be able to do this with the bikes as well.

From what a lot of people on the main forum have been saying is that it's just a picture that you get if you get platinum if the car has won already. No money no cc no nothing.
Reason for that is so that you don't "platinum" the summit to let others who have yet to win it get it.

So I just did the Summit events and well I went from Bronze to Gold right away before doing a few other events and now I am 500 into Platinum. So I guess I will too find out what happens if you win the car you already won.

Bought the Complete Edition at the PSN January sale, and I am not disappointed. It's so fun to just drive around and discover some of the awesome scenery, and after some fiddling with the driving settings the physics aren't that bad.

Got a good amount of cars and stuff form the Season Pass, but I have a question about matte paint as it doesn't seem to be matte at all, just glossy like the Official pant options. Do any of you know anything about that?

All the paint kinda ends up looking alike. It's more of the color that stands out instead of the finish.
With the way the loot system is now you would probably earn all the colors before getting to 1299.

Anyways I am thinking of checking out my ranking in the summit just to see if my platinum would be good enough to hold for another day and change and hoping for something good to go with it.

Bummer. Would like to have me some matte coloured off-roaders and maybe a black Charger. Kinda pointless to make a section of matte colours when they're the same as everything else...

I really wish we can have the ability to change the rim color for are cars. My cars could look way better than what they do now. The only colors we can choose from is black, white and gold.

You've probably noticed that some of the Exotic rims are red, too bad they're butt ugly.

Oh yea i forgot to mention those lol. Hopefully in a future update they can probably add that ability to color are rims whatever color we want besides the black, white, gold and those ugly red rims lol.

At the end I'll get gold medal, 75% progress to platinum.
Offroad challenge I used a 749 Skyiline, have bugged drag car which don't let me place better than what I did, no score on open world challenges, crew challenge and PvP.

Surprisingly I got like 25% Platinum.
Just because of 3 events I ended up getting Platinum rankings. Rest were gold and one Silver. Also no FD Challenge, FD Stunts, PVP, Crew.
I went from Bronze to Gold after like 2 events so I just said go for it.

Edit: Just got a Platinum on the Summit and it was 95% Car and 5% CC. Since the car was won I got the CC which ended up being 20,000.
Not too bad but still wish they could of used the Zonda instead.
Now we wait for the next summit to see what happens.

Spent quite a bit of time with @DDastardly00 and a couple other friends over the holiday weekend in this game. Found all 30 of the satellites. Also found the rest of the parts for the buggy. So now I have the buggy and the hot rod unlocked. Both are very fun. I have a vast majority of the map unlocked too. Next I will focus on finding more car parts, then eventually try to get all the monuments.

I fired up the Crew last night to check on the results of the Summit and was surprised to find I received a Platinum medal after only doing each of events just one time, I did not do any of the Events where you had to be in a crew and I did not complete the FD Stunts event either. Anyway, the prize result was $20,000 CC credits since I already had the Evora; not too bad at all, I'm happy with that.

I have plenty of Landmarks left to do myself, they're also a pretty good source of money since you receive $2000 for discovering each one.

So far you have the Buggy (raid spec) and the Performance Spec Hot Rod, which is also one of my favorites. You still have 3 left to unlock (Street, Dirt and Circuit spec vehicles).

I leveled up my Dirt bike last night past 900, right now I am just getting Golds and stopping before I hit platinum. While I mostly hate the new smart loot system, at times I do love it, I have won CC credits, a free Drag spec conversion and tons of miscellaneous parts and colors.

That would be fun collecting land marks together especially if we actually took the time to drive to each one. I like how easy it is to warp anywhere on the map you want to. Even if it is offroad. Other games usually only let you warp to the nearest spot on the road. They did such a great job with The Crew.

I have every Friday off paid for January. So if you see me on just send me an invite. I also still need to figure out the difference in the Wild Run dlc. Still a little confused about the best deal.

Driving to the landmarks is fun, we definitely should do that, as for the wild run expansion, I would just get that unless you really want the season pass cars too.
