The dream diary

Some people like to do B-Spec grinding, but I like to dream grind. Sleep for 20 minutes, than wake up and write about what I dreamed in as much detail as I can. Then I go back to sleep for 20 min, etc. etc.

I'd do a search for any of your posts with the word beer in it but I don't want to take the site down. :P

In all fairness I did actually comment on how attractive your female Shem's dream world counter part was. I'll see if I can dig it up...

EDIT: :( My post search only goes back a while.

Omnis
If you search the word dream, you'll find plenty of threads like this. Just don't resurrect the ones that I posted in.

15-year-old Omnis, I hate you.

You had some interesting dreams.

Back when Vandenal changed his name from VANDENAL to Vandenal, I had a dream in which he changed it again to vandenal. I thought it actually happened until I checked the site again.

My dream really suprised me. Going into year seven this year, start of high school in australia, and all the people from school a heading off in different directions, some people will go to that school others will got a different one ect. Any way i stayed up way to late last night so islept into about 11 so my dream was technically today. Anyway, there was this girl i liked six months ago, have gotten totally over her, but in my dream we were sitting on the oval outside. She put her head on my shoulder, then eventually in my lap . And we were just like lying on eachother in the middle of P.E with no one really noticing. I honestly have no idea where this dream came from, somewhere deep down in my mind i must have been longing for her. So yeah that dream really upset me, she aint going to my highschool. Im really sad now. I couldnt care less the day i left primary school but all of a sudden it does.

there is a annoying and scary dream that has been haunting me for over 5 years... :indiff:
Typically, it starts with me sleeping at my bed.
Then, there is very light flash at the window and suddenly, old granny's head
flies to my room and laughts with demonic voice. Usually i can`t move at this dream, my legs and hands seem to be jammed! :scared:
Then, the head attacks to me by pushing me to wall and screaming with scary voice. The dream usually ends when i somehow manage to punch the head...
Yep, pretty strange isn`t it? It is. :ill:

w...t....f?!

My dream today:
I came face to face with a grizzly bear right outside of my house.
I'm living at the equator and I don't know how the bear got here.
So, here's the thing, apparently if you turn and run away, the grizzly bear will do the same too. :dopey:
And that's how I survived to tell the tale.
Then I woke up and realized I'm late for college. :ouch:

w...t....f?!
Yeah, that IS pretty strange dream. Everyone that i have told about my dream are saying: "Okay...... pretty....strange...
It is scary dream.

By the way, i had strange dream yesterday.
Here it is:

I was playing with the computer.
In the dream the computer was at my room.
(In real life, it is in living room.)
I turned around my chair and looked to window. Nothing there.
Then i watched to the computer. It`s screen was dark.
So, i just got off the computer and walked to my bed. Then i heared strange voice coming from windom. I looked to the window and i was scared!
There was dead human rat! It looked like cross of man and rat! :ill:
Then the dream ended, luckily....

But don`t get me wrong, most of the time i see happy dreams.
But sometimes, they are nightmares...like this. :indiff:

Usually its a case of not remembering dreams when one wakes up instead of not having any dreams at all.

I find I have a habit of featuring in other peoples dreams. People from uni come up to me about shenanigans I was doing in their head strangely oftenly and one guy from school apparently dreamt I was a ninja on a rampage and took out the entrie school with shurikens. Hardcore.

This is my last dream I can remember:

It was 2 AM, I was standing in front of the restaurant I work at. There was a party with all employees, except me. Apparantly I just missed the invitation. But instead of going in, I decided to climb on the roof of the restaurant, for no reason. But then my boss came outside and saw me. I got fired for standing on the roof. I begged him to not fire me and said I didn't do it on purpose, "I just climbed the roof accidentally" (lol). My boss said he was really sorry, but he had to fire me. So I left and I was really sad, because without a job I wouldn't be able to get my driver's license.

And then I woke up. *phew* Pretty weird dream, but I can sort of explain it. A few days before I really did have a party at the restaurant and before I went to bed that night, I played Assassin's Creed, which is probably why I climbed the roof. And I really do need my job to get the money for my driver's license. Luckily though, my boss and I go along very well and I think the chances of me getting fired are pretty slim. :)

I would say this is definitely the case. From what I've studied, dreaming is the way our brains stay alive while we are not using them in sleep, so actually they are being used. If we were to not dream out brains would fail to operate and we'd end up in a coma or worse. According to something I read many moons ago...

Apparently, use of a dream diary is the first step to becoming a lucid dreamer. My buddy tried to become a lucid dreamer, he claims he had sleep paralysis, I claim it was that placebo effect we all know and love. But hey, who am I to say he didn't become temporarily paralyzed and have a lucid dream.

I once had a dream that was greatly disturbing. Especially considering nothing else I've ever experienced has come close.

Ever been in a pitch black room? Yeah, it's black for a second or two, but then your eyes start to see little particles or something. Or you start imagining an image or something. Anyway, same thing happens with closing your eyes. It might just be me, but I never see only one thing for more than a few seconds before I imagine something or see those weird light particles. (you know, like staring at a flat, solid color without looking away or blinking)

Anyway, one time I had a dream that was all black, and it went on for what felt like a long time. I was somewhat aware that it was a dream, but I couldn't tell because nothing was there to define it.

It was pitch black with no other color at all. I could feel myself, but I couldn't feel as though I could move. It wasn't as if I felt restricted in movement either, I just couldn't feel movement. I tried to think of something to rid my dream of this blackness but I couldn't. The only thing I could imagine was black; it's color, the lack of anything else, no sound, no nothing.

It was just just this black void.
I've no idea how long I was actually aware of this, but I certainly didn't wake up feeling very well rested.

Last night I dreamt that I was about to by a X2010 in GT but bought the Vettel instead of the coloured one. I think it was because before I went to bed I read a thread about someone trying to trade one. I usually have GT dreams.

Usually you'll forget about 95% of your dream within ten minutes after waking up.

Thats true. Have you ever just been thinking about stuff during the middle of the day and a random thought suddenly brings back a full memory of a dream you had the night before that you hadn't remembered when you woke up?

Sounds like you were playing a first person shooter ie: call of duty or battlefield. :D

That's weird, I don't really play FPSs very often. Nor do I have any real desire to join the military.

I wonder if there is a solution for this.

Every night, I struggle to fall asleep. Every morning, I feel super sleepy.
And I seem to be aware that I'm dreaming(thinking of something) when I think I'm supposed to be 'sound asleep'(brain dead sleeping?).

Has anybody had the kind of dream where you dream you've just woken up, and you're in you're bed, everything seems normal etc. buy you can't move or speak? And then you get the feeling something is wrong? It's happened to me twice. I used to know what caused that but I've forgotten.

I like the idea of this thread. And I have had dreams where I can't move or talk. And a lot of the time, I don't even know I'm dreaming. I just treat it like reality. Anyone else have those dreams where you're naked and everyone else isn't?:scared: I really hate those. Sometimes I don't fly, but somehow I float up into mid air somehow if I concentrate hard enough. Though I don't even know If I concentrate.

And I had this one strange dream where my cousin kept chasing me and I fell through the window and it kept repeating again and again for some reason. And then I forget, but I woke up or just transitioned to another setting.

Sometimes fictional characters (even animated ones) appear.

I remember once I got the ability to jump super high, just like The Hulk from the first Hulk movie, but not really that high, maybe about 3 times my height. It felt so real and awesome. :dopey:

And recently I dreamed about driving on the new GT5 DLC Test Track. It was really, really long. And it wasn't just an oval, it had a weird shape. I drove past houses, factories, buildings, mountains and all sort of weird stuff. Fricking awesome that drive was. 👍

So, you heard it here first, before the official release, impressions on the GT5 DLC Test Track, brought to you by kennylmao.

A couple of nights ago, I had a dream where I was with these two amazing looking women...

Go figure, dreams can be weird.

Dreams can sometimes connect what we had in mind while we were up to completely unrelated things so that we get confounded to understand what is going on around us when we realize we're dreaming of something after falling asleep...

Pleasant dreams can make us feel satisfied with the circumstances and expect it to last as long as it can, whilst awful deams can make us frightened that we want to escape from the scene as soon as possible, but finally we come to ourselves awaking that it was just a dream regardless what happened in the dream, when we routinely get up in the morning.

I had this nightmare some months ago... :ill:

I found myself back on my elementary school, in a classroom that was flooded with all the people that used to bully me back then... everyone of them were being rude to me, like it used to be on those years...

No big deal, you may think...

But then, it became really ugly... well.. for me it was... :nervous:

I realized I was seating next to a girl, which happened to be my best friend... and my secret love, also :( I tried to talk to her... but she didn't answer... I tried again... and again... and again... no success... it seemed I was some kind of ghost for her... (which was quite correct, if you ask me... in elementary, she didn't know I existed)...

I started to cry... I felt... destroyed... :( nd then...

I woke up... it was very early in the morning... about 2 or 3 am... I was all covered in sweat, and a real tear escaped from my eye...

It's by far my worst nightmare ever... :nervous:

Yep... just like you, it has happened to me twice... it's very weird... here in Mexico we call it... "cuando se te trepa el muerto"... which means that a spirit is sitting on you, making you unable to move, breath, etc...

It's pretty scary... the 2nd time that happened to me, I swear to god I heard the voice of a girl asking me to... you know... "do that something" with her... :nervous:

edit: Sleep Paralysis, that's the cientific name of it...

I like it too, lets us see if we dream about 'normal' things or not.

When I have dreams in which I know that it's just a dream and it's not going well, I try to kill myself. When I was about 4, 5 or 6 I would always dream (this probably happened 50 to 100 times, and it happened because of my intense love for dinosaurs) that I'd be downstairs doing something and I would try to go upstairs for some reason, but then all of a sudden a Tyrannosaurus Rex would appear at the bottom of the stairs and would try to eat me as I was running up the stairs. Sometimes I'd try to run up the stairs to get away from it, (out of all the times it happened I only made it to safety 2 or 3 times :scared: ) Other times when I just wanted the dream to end I would willingly throw myself towards it and let it eat me. It basically terrorized a year or two of my childhood. :indiff:

I've also tried to kill myself in more recent dreams. A year or two ago I had a dream where there was snow outside and something bad was going on, I think someone or something was chasing me or aliens where invading in the distance, I can't remember which one though. I knew I was dreaming, so I should end it, right? I would run up to the top floor of the house and do a nosedive out of one of the windows to implode my skull, killing my instantly. It didn't work the first time but when I tried a second time, I believed it would work and it did. That's the key to controlling your dreams I guess, know that it's just a dream and believe something will work when you try it.

Sorry for the wall of text. I just had to get that out. You may learn something if you read it. :)
