But it such a joke that the RZ isn't premium, especially when you can't change the rims.

I looked forward to build something like this in GT5:guilty:

So you mind something like this, that list have 46 cars, this 12, taken the first year model.

S Honda S2000 ‘99
S Honda S2000 LM Race Car
S Honda CIVIC SiR-II (EG) ‘91
S Mazda MX-5 1800 RS (NB, J) ‘00
S Mitsubishi GTO SR ‘95
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo ‘95
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo MR ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT MR (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SR (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (J) ‘98
S Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo (J) ‘95

Edit: i also think is unnecessary

You can add 4 clio / 4 lutécia (japan market name)
Acura/Honda
350Z, 300zx/ fairlady Z33, Z34
Silvia/200sx
4 vauxall cars/ same 4 opel cars

the real numbers of cars is no more than 500 cars i think
:ouch:
I prefer forza III car list, no duplicated cars, no multiple version, and up-to-date versions/model

5 years to make GT4 HD SHAME:tdown:

Looking at the car list, standard versus premium I realized how big of a misfortune it is that we can't change the rims on the standard models. It was no big deal to me when I heard about it but now I get it. I'm in no way an extremist when it comes to tuning/styling but it can be a pretty important aspect of tuning a vehicle. 👎

I think at the end of the day, PD dropped the ball on GT5. Is GT5 a exceptional game, yes, but is it worth the 6 year wait. No. I mean when half the content is last gen stuff, then what we really got is GT4 HD + 1/5thGT5. The biggest problem with PD is their dev cycles, because by the time the game comes out, it ends up being severly outdated in many ways. Thus why we have so few 2008-10 models. What PD should have done was built off of GT5P, release a game every 2 years after GT5P, while slowly improving the physics/weather/tuning/while adding new cars with every new game. They should have left the standard where they belong, back on the PS2 instead of mismatching them on the PS3 with clearly superior models.

Well I'm pretty disappointed with the tracks. I know the game took a lot of effort to make but I think some of the priorities were all wrong. I for one would have been happy with more tracks and less detail, god only knows how long the city tracks took to model and they are the ones I drive the least!

Also 1000 cars.....

S Mitsubishi 3000GT MR (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT MR (J) ‘98
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (J) ‘96
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SL (J) ‘98
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SR (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SR (J) ‘96
S Mitsubishi 3000GT SR (J) ‘98
S Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (J) ‘98
S Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo (J) ‘95
S Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo (J) ‘96
S Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Turbo (J) ‘98
S Mitsubishi GTO SR ‘95
S Mitsubishi GTO SR ‘96
S Mitsubishi GTO SR ‘98
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo ‘95
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo ‘96
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo ‘98
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo MR ‘95
S Mitsubishi GTO Twin Turbo MR ‘98

All those cars are basically the same model!!!! :yuck:

Still it will be a great game and I can't wait to play it!

Can you act like a douche on another forum please?

Apparently, although it is hard for me to believe and makes no sense. In the final car list it's listed as "S" for standard.

I'm still having trouble comprehending why they made any "new" standards at all. It just seems like an odd decision.

Exactly. Any way possible that was a misprint? Especially considering it's a Veyron we are talking about as well.

 that little Suzi is Premium? Haha.. oh dear.

What gets me though, is that no matter what they do people always have something to complain about. I'm over the fact some of my favorite cars aren't Premium, I'm going to enjoy the game and every aspect of it.

Not sure if that's directed at me, I wasn't complaining as much as confused as why a new modeled car would be standard level, in addition to it being the Veyron.

Nah wasn't directed at you personally. Sorry if it seemed that way, no hard feelings.

"New" standards like the two Countachs were probably originally modeled for GT4, but license issues meant that they could not be used in that game. They were then transferred to GTPSP along with all the other GT4 cars since they now had the Lamborghini license at the time of GTPSP's release.

Remember GT3 had a 911 and the Nomad Diablo hidden inside, but they couldn't allow them to ever be visible because of license issues. (Japanese version did have the Diablo, however, it was only after Lamborghini found about it that PD then took it out of the PAL and NTSC versions) I seem to recall the hidden 911 made Porsche quite angry at PD as well, for placing the car hidden in the game without their permission. This was 10 years ago though.

The GT4/GTPSP cars were then simply transferred over to GT5 to save time, money, and boost car count, is my guess. There is both a Standard and Premium Enzo; it was obviously modeled twice, on two separate occasions. Once for GTPSP and then again for GT5 as a premium. The standard Enzo will probably show up in the used car lot.

Very confusing choices indeed, but still, I'd rather have two standard Countachs than no Countachs at all. They even sounded quite decent in GTPSP with a good pair of headphones.

The same is true for the ZR-1, the cars modeled recently for the PSP seem to have a higher poly count than GT4's; here's to hoping that it is true. No diablo though :( and the RUFs are standard too... I don't have a problem with having no interiors. I just wanted to gawk at some of the machines I love, with polycount comparable to current gen machines.

I'm hoping quite a few of those are misprints... they Veyron should have absolutely been high priority in the list of cars to be premium... I think it's butt ugly but it deserves the treatment if any car does.

Amid all the whining, with the release date drawing near, I fell there's no better time to say this, for the good of all GTers. And presumptous or not, I'd appreciate if a mod would make a sticky topic out of this.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

No matter how disappointed you are with GT5's car list, track list, or looming threat of no DLC, please try to keep immature whining and omnicidal RAEG to a minimum.

This does not mean you can't voice disappointment or mourn the absence of certain things. In fact, it may even have an effect, since Kaz and PD do watch forums. BUT, if you want to have any effect at all, you must state your demands in a CALM and LEVEL HEADED manner. If you act like a spoiled brat on Christmas morning, you will come across as presumptous, demanding fools, hardly worth trying to please. And you probably won't get your wish. You may even convince Kaz to abandon GT or give us a half-🤬 job on GT6. If you do get your wish, it will be done grudgingly. Either way, Kaz will be more inclined to listen to us if we can demonstrate some kind of a thought process. If we can show well-thought-through and reasonably planned-out ideas, it will get us a lot farther than shouting vague demands for "MORE TRACKS!" or "DLC PLZ!!!!!!111111111".

For everyone's sake, be CALM AND REASONABLE when asking for additional content. Thank you for your attention.

I'm 80% happy with the car and track list, but a few things piss me off, such as:
1. No BMW E90 320/325, no M6, E46 M3 is standard (FUUUUUUU!) , no Audi A4/S4, A5/S5 (new models), no Alfa Romeo 159, no Mercedes Benz W212 E-Class, no W216 CL's, no Aston Martin V8 Vantage (new model) and no Lamborghini Diablo road car.
2. No Apricot Hill or El Capitan although they were seen.

Hopefully they can add a few of these through DLC, but I don't see why they're not in the game in the first place.

Other than that, I'm ecstatic.
Bring on the 24th!

I think you're in the wrong thread pal...

Actually, it seemed like quite a good place to put it. This is a thread with a great possibility of getting out of hand and completely ruining any appearance of maturity.

Ok, now Im really angry. I just found out that there is only one Maserati (GT S).

Screw you PD!

I will buy your game and have a lot of fun, but you guys are no real petrolheads :)
