Release GT5 now please! Or at least provide more info!! I am slitting my arm everyday because of this and I am currently going to a psychiatrist because of this problem! Please release GT5 before I do any more harm to my body! I have even thought acts of suicide because of this! I am now depressed and emo because of this stupidity. Don' make a video game cost lives.. PLEASE! I am begging you!

This may sound lame, but does anyone here ever watch those shows where people are looking for a house. The Realtor finds out the person's budget, desired location, and amount of space they need.

And the show always features these unrealistic people who are completely ignorant about the housing market. The Realtor is kindly trying to explain to them that they will have to go above budget in order to get a 3 bedroom condo downtown. And somehow the people do not want to listen.

Yea, a lot of you guys are like that. You want it all, and do not realize your ignorance.

If there is a valid and striking criticism against PD. Its that they did not communicate this properly from the beginning. That is a sad mistake that I hope they have learned from.

Oh well, personally I can't freaking wait for this game. Sucks for some of you guys who want to have your cake and eat it too. And are willing to do neither just because someone broke the news that you can't do both.

I love how the forum is full of people telling us how dumb we are for not realizing how something wasn't possible and how obvious it was when just a few months ago the forum was full of people assuring us we were stupid for questiong the great PD and KY and how obviously everything was gonna be beyond belief.

Nature of the beast I guess... there is always a fanboy to stick up for the story of the day, and when he turns out to be wrong a new batch rolls in to stick up for the next story of the day as if it was always true.

Yeah I'm still pissed off about the lack of detail that was revealed at E3 and now I'm left with a million questions until Gamescom or TGS. 👎
GT5 is still like a top secret military project, even though there's 5 months until its release.

Who knows how long we'll have to wait until we are given the final info about the standard and premium cars.

Well in the last video posted with the producer. The question was asked "what is the difference between standard and premium cars" and he didn't answer it. I guess we will have to wait for confirmation as always.

well people for you is simple as this:

first,this is technically a Gran Turismo fan site,so what did you were waiting for?

second,yeah the premium standard car issue caught us all by surprised,but is only taken by Forza fanboys that just wanted to ignite the flame of a simple discussion that is related to GT fans.

third,due this issue the people is missing a lot,and I mean a lot of new stuff that is just revolutionary for the racing gender,day/night transition,dynamic environments,real online track days,almost perfect detail on circuits,and even so a lot of stuff that is yet to come,so if you don't like being pin down by other people just get out,is more damage that you are making to yourselves at the,if you are an forza fanboy keep forza,if you are a GT fan wait for GT there is more stuff to come real stuff.

and if you re kind of a red neck try to ignite yet more discussion or try to change the mind from people who has played GT since their childhood,you have really nothing to do here,as simple as that.

there is nothing to denial just 800 cockpits, which probably the half of them are crappy interiors of 90's cars so why bother making those while they improve the race sensation itself.

and to finish my rant I have to say that this yet another chapter on the console war,this is a particular heat up discussion but the graphics on the last generation GT games had been from the top, GT prologue trash the forza graphics,and that is still prologue,for GT5 I hope something like this,not the 800 old cars issue but the insertion on the racing experience,the area that GT series has been truly a winner,since GT4 people love GT and even forza take damage and the customization the people could not care less,GT experience is way better and GT4 stood as a great experience,so much that they even was compared to next gen game(forza 2)and even so it could not be beaten,and trust me forza 4 will come in response for this but at the end you know what is the game of choise

Day night transitions were in Test Drive Lemans about a decade ago. So was changing weather during a race.

And everyone is drooling over the digital photos wrapped on simple building models... PGR4 I would say had even better looking locals (with 3D trees) years ago.

you know why these games don't have transition,they don't mess up with the shadow rendering in HD or even probably in 3D,that is Impressive,and you have play PGR4,the drive is rubbish,the cities are well recreated but the ambient is not the same and remember that is dynamic,not static you can have day/night circuits layouts in other games,but just only one game that make transition between day and night in a single race,so this proves my point,is just to keep igniting the console war and to overcome the real issues on forza like the half design cockpits(you cant argue with that),and yeah the only game that tried to make this dynamics on the ambient stuff was test drive lemans,and that was in PS1,do they don't have to mess pixel shadering and interactive shadows and rendering in HQ,so stop igniting the flame of the argument,this proves other thing,Gran Turismo can do what two Big franchises cant do together,so

I was talking about background accuracy and detail.

The cars no question.

I was talking about the commments almost perfect detail on circuits... right now a few shots of some tracks are going around being touted as being awesome, but honestly... they aren't... they are impressive at first but when you look carefully it's not all that great... lots of repeated textures wrapped on large simple building forms, some of those textures even pretty ugly.

When you look at PGR4 shots and locals they got it pretty much spot on and pretty darn good looking.

It's not all about the graphics, but you would have to be in pretty heavy denial to think graphics aren't a huge part of GT. I mean look at what PD did... they claim something like 6 months to model a car... they are releassinga game with segmented car classes after 6 years becaues they care so much about how they look...

I haven't seen day night transition on the more impressive tracks on GT4 either so who knows how it's going to turn out and Test Drive lemans was on Dreamcast (and later crapified and ported to PS2) with some pretty hefty graphics for the time and hardware, changing weather conditions and day/night transitions...

So yea... oh and just saying pixel shader doesn't make it sound like you know how they work and interactive shadows and rendering in HQ? Yea...
