I can't do version 1.11. The 2 mods I can't live without doesn't work. I haven't seen the original developer posting in months. In case you didn't know, ETS2 has a really really poor implementation of the triple screen. The view is distorted and the field of view is all wrong. It gives an effect of driving with a fisheye lens. I had an mod call 3screenFOV and it was amazing. Its fixed the perspective and the FOV correctly.

To downgrade:
To revert your Steam game to to 1.10, right click the game, go into Properties, select the BETA tab.
Select "temporary_1_10_01_19 - 1.10.1.19 for incompatibility"

I'll be doing the same until promods release a patch. I cant go back to my level 2 vanilla game save !

Edit: Anyone else doing the Squirrel mod ? Man that is one sexy skin ! I may add the side skirts later but I deliberately left off a bullbar for the first time for a cleaner look. Went with a 500hp engine which when hauling 22t of Squirrel slippers , is adequate :)

This works for the MP mod too ;)

I think it is because the map has changed in the update.

Well, on my laptop I am running 1.11 and I've got to say, I really like the UI Improvements. Looks a lot more professional. Can't wait to get the Multiplayer and ProMods updates on my big computer. I wonder if my Mercedes Benz Actros and Axor mods will still be fine...

Tomorrow, I want to do a cross-Europe SP trip from France or Belgium, to Poland or Czech Republic. I don't think I've ever done a long trip in ETS2.

I'm trying to find a video I watched a while ago of ETS2 multiplayer. There wasn't any commentary, the video was at least 20 minutes long, I believe the uploader was from Europe, the music in the background falls under the category of deep house, and I remember there being lots of accidents in the video. Guess I need to look harder. :grumpy:

Thankfully there's ten million videos that contain almost everything I just mentioned! *Shoots self*

I'm an idiot. Found it.

Was just playing multiplayer, heading through Europoort when some 🤬 comes the other way and hits me. Got 100% damage to my truck and trailer in one hit. I didn't even think that was possible!

I decided to try and carry on, but on my next attempt some idiot cut the corner on the junction as you come off/on the main road, and did 62% damage. Unfortunately both were hit and runs so I couldn't even report them...

I was hit by a guy going the wrong way 1-2 weeks ago. I only had <10% damage to my trailer, and only about 50% damage to my truck(or less). Maybe its just because my MAN is really slow....

It should be possible to see their user-number if you press TAB, I think. I still haven't figured out how to report such.

First, you hit Y to open the chat thing. Than you type /report [id] [reason]

Ex- /report 97 Ramming

And when its entered, it'll say "You have reported John(97)."

Trouble was, I didn't really catch their names and so many were nearby, so that didn't really help.

I've been playing ETS2 MP with friends over the last few days, it's a lot of fun but quite hit and miss... Here's an example of when it's miss:

Awful frame rate, people driving into things, trailers all over the place... But when it works, it's awesome. Earlier on I was on a job from Köln to Nürnberg with a friend who could only find a job from Köln to Frankfurt, so I went there with him (it was a very minor detour) and while he was finding a job from Frankfurt to Nürnberg I parked up at a car park, where three other guys were sat. One of them asked me if I wanted to join them, I said no thanks as I was already in a convoy and the guy's response was '10-4 good buddy!', then my friend stopped by and off we went, trucking through the night. So much fun. Other amusing things are critiquing other peoples' parking, watching lag catch people out (lots of people get too close when they overtake and lag can cause trucks to appear to stop, resulting in serious accidents) and airhorn choirs.
All the MP mod needs now is traffic and LOD scaling to improve the frame rate in densely packed areas. Oh and companies.

When that random online came and hit that guy knocking him onto his side I busted out laughing. 3:33  Just having a nice chill drive on the highway then out of no where pow!!! Hardest I laughed all week.

This looks like a fun game. My dad was a truck driver my entire life growing up so I have grown to love and respect the big rigs. Really enjoying all the pictures, keep them coming.

If I were to purchase this game, where would it be best to learn to drive: Singleplayer or multiplayer? Singleplayer has traffic, while multiplayer doesn't.

Single-player. There are a lot of serious people on MP,and if you do something wrong, they gon' get mad!

I'm well aware of that. I've seen plenty of idiotic things people do on accident or on purpose.

Also, without any trailers attached, do all of the trucks perform identically, or are some faster than others?

Trucks are different, depending on what engine and transmission you have.

I'd love to be a nonconformist, but I like the interior of the Scania best, and that is after all the part of the truck I have to stare at for hours. I really dislike the design of the new Volvo, and it is so ubiquitous, making it even less interesting. Also, the Scania V8 has the best sound in the game. True story.

Also, has anyone seen the new pics from Sweden? It's in Växjö more specifically; have fun trying to pronounce that, non-Scandinavians :P. For what I know, that is a pretty damn accurate depiction of a typical Swedish suburb. Those apartment blocks look more Swedish than a giant yellow/blue IKEA.

These new environments will realy prolong the lifespan of the game, as if I wasn't addicted already :D

Statistically the Volvo is the best overall, but My Favourite is easily Iveco.

They are by a very far margin the best handling trucks, the 'Drivers truck' I would call it, the BMW/Porsche of Trucks(I guess it explains the Sports Grip Steering wheel).

They are designed pretty well exterior wise but interior a bit bland, but even the single axle Stralis will be more stable then a 6x4 anything else, its just that good.

Yes, Scanias are the best, after driving all the trucks, and trying mods that add new trucks, I always go back to my Scania V8.

Listen to some V8 Scania sounds on Youtube, even better than SCS's version

A proper Sweden in the game will be great for those in Scanias and Volvos 👍

Once the 1.11 Multiplayer update is released, anybody want to go for a road trip? I'm free from now to the 17th of this month.
Of course, I'd be up for it anytime 👍

Yeah, it sounds very flat in the game compared to the real deal. The DAF XF also sounds really nice with the right exhaust setup, but it uses a boring default sound in-game. I saw a straight-piped XF in the city center yesterday, and it made sweet, sweet music. Pretty much like this one (skip to 0:24):

If Scania is the king of V8s, DAF is the king of 6-cylinders.
